If you apply some strategies Pravus uses here you should be able to beat the campaign, for example prioritizing research as well as exploration. Also some laws are simply bad long term but you only figure it out after playing again and again. The City must survive. Good luck with your next run.
@@michaelsimao495 well soup as they have it, is different as we think of it, soup in frostpunk is thin and not very filling, meant to stretch out food longer, more modern day soups are often more filling, and comforting
@@MockingjayRisingyea, but either I give you a thin soup that atleast tastes somewhat, or I give you sawdust filled soup, that’s hard to get down, and doesn’t taste good at all
@@michaelsimao495 You choose between people feeling hungry or people getting somewhat sick. It's called game play mechanics.Pick one and counter its effects. I can see why you struggle.
I cant wait for Frostpunk 2, i remember when Pravus started the Frostpunk series it was thriling and amazing to learn the story and the game alongside his videos. The City must not fall Praise Pravus !
Extreme Endless Rifts. Yeah, I don't even bump up the difficulty beyond the very easiest, this is most definitely not for me. But it's great to see Pravus play this, for 6 hours.
Turn the overdrive off during the day and on at night. You'll get a lot less sick and you won't overwork your generator. Also, upgrade your housing during the day. It'll prevent people from getting sick cause that's when most of your sickness happens. And you're automaton on the coal vein was traveling too far to get energy. It seems counterintuitive, but you should've put a steam hub near the vein so the automaton didn't need to travel. You weren't getting the full 900+ per day that it said you could. That's the potential, you gotta watch efficiency too
Emergency shift does not kill people on raw resource gathering (only kills them in buildings). Usually slam 3 emergency shifts the first day to gather alot of resources
Fun fact, you can do a single emergency shift on a building as long as it is your first and no other emergency shifts are running, and it won’t result in a death. Critical knowledge for stupid challenges.
Fun fact, you can pop 24hr shift right as extended shift ends, remove the people so no one is in the building, then reassign people at midnight. You get an extra 6 hours at 100% efficiency every night for the entirety of the play through (so long as discontent is managed) and no one dies…
The hardest challenge I went with personally was similar. I went with builder mode, all resources on an island have to be collected before expanding off of each island. No destroying resources like trees. No deaths. And the hard part, each settlement must be upgraded once each before a single generator construction type can be researched.
My realization from watching this video is that I should take a pause when planning and implementing. Pausing is the most important thing to do... in this game and in life.
My guy forgot about the public house to solve discontent, use public execution to lower discontent, and you could have sent your scouts back over to the survivors to help them to the city faster. Awesome watching your videos tho
Hey Pravus sorry to be the "Well Akshually..." but this is only the hardest challenge in Endless which is about a 7/10. Hardest actual challenge in the game is The Refugees on Survivor difficulty. Doing it Deathless is reserved only for Gods.
I am surprised he didnt Die or Savescum cuz Stockpile is more important than saving lives in this game.. if you stockpile you survive a storm ... Means you can paradrop more from population from Scout parties in the future...
Is it just me, or is there a lot of funky frame-blending and auto-smoothing going on in this video. Especially noticeable at the start of Part 3, more-so when looking at the UI during movement.
Old videos from 2020 were artificially bumped from 30FPS to 60FPS, it's not really a compression algorithm fault, you can check the playlist and spot the difference as I did
I just lost my first extreme game and I've considered myself pretty good player overall, I'm just missing extreme difficulty achievements. It turns out there's still much to learn for me. I didn't know organ transplant speeds up healing if there's no dead bodies. Also I usually went for child shelters to increase healing or workshop development since I've always felt I have too much people anyway. I guess on hard difficulty there's just a surplus of people that can still be sustained, here it might be needed to go for child labour. I think going for house of healing might also help but probably it's not easy to go for it early as there's so many important laws before that.
I would love to see you try Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic on realistic mode! It's a great game, maybe the best city builder to date. Although it's often quite jank in some areas
Did they ever fix the memory overflow bug that happens when you built 1 too many buildings and crashed the game? Making endless mode completely pointless since you couldnt actually go forever or build out completely. I know they ignored it for at least a couple years after endless was released.
It’s a travesty that 11Bit didn’t open up the dev tools to the players! From all sorts of new scenarios, to spiced up OGs. This game would have had serious longevity. I was hopeful with Frostpunk 2 but the endless political stuff grew tiresome. Playing through the OG scenarios again was an excellent pallet cleanse.
And here I am and can't beat the story mode on easy

Thanks but also some of the laws are dumb like u can eat sawdust also soup is nice why r u sad about soup

Man i love this trend of just stitching series together

Thx for this long-play videos. So I haven’t to search all the parts. And I can watch it with 2x. Thx!

Throughly enjoyed this, much thanks for the long form playthrough, subscribed, look forward to future content
This was glorious! Much enjoyed.
Seeing this game again really motivates me to boot it up and go for the last few achievements I'm missing in it.

5 days later and I finally finished this video
Comfy in bed watching and enjoying the vid ❤

I just checked and we got about 18 more days until Frostpunk 2. Keep your eyes peeled for September 20th.
Alert Karl Jobst. This speed run is spliced 😂

extream is like you get the most annoying people as your citizen. they literally face appocalype but they keep complaining non stop.
Btw moonshine is in the public house path not the food path
