How do you respond to allegations that you are awesome, and that you may already be throwing ideas around at each other in the form of paper airplanes about what Frostpunk 3 will be like?
Sadly the opening screen still on black to me it says press any button but nothing happens only background music playing can't click anything
@@ZaimGamePlayMine doesn’t even get that far. I don’t hear ANY music and I don’t even get to see the menu. And then I crash after 2 minutes. Maybes it’s just because of my laptop? But I really hope not
Said this before, but I find it cool that FP2 rectified one of the complaints in the story of FP1 (Order and Faith basically being the same), by having them be factions in FP2.
I found order and faith being similar to be interesting. Showing that no matter what you go with, its bad if youre extreme. And i find it a similar story with the factions and ideologies. Each has their strengths and weaknesses, theyre all good but rarely in the extreme.
@@meks039 but, see, they're TOO similar. Take The Last Autumn, for instance. Both engineer and worker paths can turn dark real fast, but both very different.
Order and Faith in FP1 were basically just two coats of paint.
I mean, historically the line between authoritarianism and religion is thin. The difference is often superficial. Authoritarian societies may worship their laws and dictator instead of a god but it is still worship.
@@wildcatkountry9047 exactly thats what i mean. You go far enough either way you end up at the same point. Dictatorship. Its a circle.
@@colvamoon6962 And i feel like that was kind of intentional on their part. 11bit is kinda known for making their games in this way, it feels like they were trying to get you to see that both are good if you dont go to far.

Frostpunk was how I first discovered you, Pravus, and you made me see the light! Really happy to see a return to it from you, and I look forward to following the series! Thank you for helping a surv-sim newbie be the overseer the apocalypse deserved!
Frostpunk Theory Here: The Wanderers are the descendants of Winterhome. A stretch? Maybe but think about it. (Very minor spoiler here)
They know of Winterhome. They live off a dreadnought like the one that Winterhome fled from. Again, this may just be a stretch but a fun connection to the doomed colony.
Not a bad theory! I can promise there are a LOT of references to the first game that we'll uncover as this series continues. :)

I love that you have the option to decide the "canon" route of frostpunk 1 and that even determines your starting factions when you start back in New London proper!
it's fascinating that the generator from the original game was this behemoth of a lifeline furnace that you can't ever forget under any circumstances, but now in the sequel it looks so small and insignificant in the expanding city you might forget about it while handling politics and the citizen's needs yet more important than all of it
Kinda show priorities, in first game most important thing was keeping generator up, in next one it's district economy and politiics you have to look for
It is a pleasure seeing someone with the early release that knows how to pause.
Saw someone fiddling around with their settings for 4+ in game weeks during the prologue. Really aggravating when people are working on a time limit and they don't do anything.
I hope we can rebuild Winterhome - a true self sustaining colony. Well, I guess mods can do that if we can’t 🎉
Oh, I can promise you there are going to be a lot of callbacks to the first game. Maybe - just maybe - Winterhome will be among them!

I loved the first game, so I'm really excited for this one. The introduction of oil will definitely give an industrial revolution feel to the game, especially as your city grows.

man the original was my favorite series of yours found you thru plague inc but this was what solidified my fan status for sure so excisted to see how the sequals stands up.
Its like a totally different game but still feels like Frostpunk. That's pretty cool.

Really great start to FP2, but i think we all agree that we'd appreciate it if you looked at every option so we could see EVERYTHING. Aside from that minor complaint, PRAISE PRAVUS
The dedication to the bit, with the face smudge, is seen and appreciated. Also, new closing music?
To talk about the elders vs the seals. The choice is pure pragmatism... The elders are only a burden on the community. While the mass seal clubbing does help immediately. But could lead to a future starvation episode that your group cannot recover from.
As weird as it sounds neither is correct. But in the harsh cold. No answer is wrong if it gets you and your kin through the harsh cold.
Gameplay-wise, choices really carried out down the line. The dead scout insignia (faith vs order) would not matter in FP1, both just the same gameplay with different skins, but here in FP2 it spawns different faction ideology down the next scenario. I believe clubbing the seal or letting the elders go will also have consequences in future play through

I have been waiting for you to play this game, I do wish you would slow down just a bit and take the time to read the pop ups. As you said the story in this game is one of the biggest appeal.
The only thing missing from the cosplay is a scrungly beard and long nappy hair and you'd look like you just teleported out of the game. Can't wait to see more.

Somethings tells me Pravus will _try_ to side with the New London Faction, based on his history and track record. Makes sense, he always struck me as a Industrialist. Whats really going to be interesting is the Compromises to keep everyone happy.
I love how you just casually looked over the fact that the Housing insulation idea was literally using asbestos xd
Fun fact about asbestos is it has saved more lives than not. Everyone now sees it is this horrible thing though because of advancements. But in the circumstances of this game, asbestos is a great option.
After watching the intro I really hope for a tv show or movie.
Though i haven't checked, I'm sure there are a lot of novelizations or fanfics of FP.

The only true way to play Frostpunk is in the freezer at your local supermarket. To feel the cold as the games continue, feeling your citizens cold in your bones

I can’t wait to play the game my self. I’ve seen people suggesting ideas for DLCs where you are in control of the last days of the empire which I think is a cool idea, where you could be the one sending out groups of people to construct the generators like in the last autumn dlc for FP1

It really is fascinating looking at the increased scale.
Like, that whole central district that New London starts with? I'm pretty sure that was the entire city map back in Frostpunk 1. What we're doing now is expanding the city infrastructure into what was the Frostlands that we sent Scouts into, while the new Frostlands expeditions are going much further.
Wonder if there's anything left of Tesla City.
I just noticed, the machines breaking the ice at the beginning are actually real vehicles. Not sure on the name, but they are considered some of the world’s largest excavators.
It's interesting if you slaughter the seals but kept the Elders alive, they will tell the Wanderers about Winterhome. Considering it's a broken dreadnought, are these Elders the Evacuees from Winterhome scenario?
