🏁BLOOMER! 🏁 Scott Bloomquist carried Hav-A-Tampa on his back for years and they royally screwed him out of that championship with a 200 point penalty for one small incident. A genuine legend of American motor sports history, second to none except for Dale Earnhardt. A one of a kind pioneer that we'll never see the likes of again in this high-tech modern era.
I believe he killed himself. How do you not roll out of the plan once it’s on the ground if it only does 75mph. He crash into the barn why wouldn’t he of jumped out after landing on his property he couldn’t of been going more than 50mph. In my opinion he went out on his own time.
One of the best documentaries needing to be shared. I have been familiar with Scott for decades but this really shows parts of his life and family only he could allow us to know. Thanks from another racing family!
all you can say is he was the real deal prayers to all his family, humble straight forward and to the point and back it up. HE IS THE GOAT IN DIRT LATE MODEL RACING.

i love to hear scott talk and tell stories and he will be missed by all his friends and fans. Scott you are the goat and thanks for the memories. your legend will live on.
Scott Bloomquist was great. His story about Billy Moyer spinning out reminds me of the good ol days of dirt track racing i think Moyer realized who the future star of Late Model racing was going to be. Spinning Bloomquist out was just his way of passing the torch. Rest in peace Scott Bloomquist. You are truly a legend of the dirt track racing world

Cub pilot and instructor here, definitely don’t plan to jump from the Cub into a lake if there is a mechanical issues. You can just land without power, much safer.
Wow I didnt that about Scott and his Dad!, that's pretty cool!. And being a longtime bloomer fan it gives me a little different perspective of Scott!. That was Great!.
never got to meet him. was intimidated to talk to him honestly but a lot of my family did get to speak with him and there was nothing but good stories about him from what i was told. RIP

By the way he was a killer at the Monett speedway in Monett Mo. I'm impressed. I miss those days. Bloomquist, Moyer, and Larry Phillips getting it on. Scott was my favorite. I'm a Ford man.
Tell Scott he should fly one of those birds to EAA Oshkosh Wisconsin in July! That would be a adventure, as long as the weather holds out on his trip. 👍🏻
What a beautiful property, what a great way to live, building cars and planes, racing for a long career - you could see that as a spectacular landing spot - just saying!!! 🛸👏🏁 M in Miami : )

I used to joke around about decals being on Indy cars and the men's helmets that it would cause drag and I even laughed at myself and then years later they got rid of decals and started spray painting or other means to keep the drag down. I couldn't believe that little amount would do anything. On my first stock car I remember painting my numbers at an angle in my ex-girlfriend asked me why I did that and I said for aerodynamics and of course on a quarter mile track that's just a bunch of BS but she believed it. I told her from the brush strokes the paint sticks out a little bit and I put it at an angle so I would have downforce. Lol
I was at work few hundred feet away at work where the Bloomquist crash occurred. At first I thought it was a house fire but the smoke was gray and not black. Never heard the prop......maybe a lack of fuel?
@@technicalitems731 Friend to was first to respond to the scene said the engine was crushed flat so it went in pretty fast full throttle.
