I could listen to the stories of the past all day. Bloomquist needs a full blown documentary cause this was very interesting and I hope this gets a part 2. I wanna see his shop and all his old cars he drove throughout the years
I like listening to your stories. I watched you race early in your career when I was in the military. You were awesome then and just got so much better quicker than anyone else back then. Congratulations on your great racing career and on down the road. Good luck at Eldora.
I only saw Scott race once. Happened to be when he got stopped in iowa in someone else's vehicle. I have a little different perspective/opinion of him after watching a few interviews.
That was a excellent interview. Saw him him race November 11,1981 here in Porterville,Ca at Rocky Hill Speedway. He won the Trophy Dash that night. Still have my picture of it.
I’d bet Bloomquist has some seriously awesome stories to tell! I could listen to them all day long! There needs to be some sort of documentary done. It’s probably be 2 hours long at least. But it needs to be done right.
Been watching Scott for 40 years, Brasstown, Toccoa, East Bay, Lavonia, Smokey Mountain, Westminster, Cherokee, Eldora, Alabama ice bowl, I can remember the first time I watched him race I was like who the hell is this wide open dude that has to push his nuts in a wheel barrel. 😀 Good luck at the World and say hello to those Joiner boys from Milton Florida.
Love him Hate him. The Man set a new standard in super late model racing. There's several men who impacted Super racing and not to take away. But this man changed the game. I remember watching him as a kid. And he was a kid too really. So Hat off for Mr Scott Bloomquist. The Game Changer!
RIP to the GOAT 🐐!! The greatest to ever crawl in a Late Model, I will always remember him for everything he brought to the sport.. Real America BadAss
My husband is a big bloomquist fan. He races gravel rally, but he has some cool stories from meeting the #0 back in the tazewell speedway and smokey mnt speedway's 1990's ! Bloomquist always had time for a autograph for a young race fan! Looking back, he was always busy. But he always made time! My husband still has a die cast car bloomquist handed to him one late night after a race! Bad ass!
Awesome stories...bloomer is a very great driver..remember them wedge late models early 80s...south east scott ran hav-a-tampa late models..north east was stars late models...great times..
Everybody used to always talk bad about bloomer. I always liked him because I always liked his paint schemes and he can drive! But he was at a race here in Alabama green valley in Glencoe. There was a couple of young kids that missed his autograph and picture session. The young boys were huge fans and very upset because they missed him. One of his crew working on the car went to the motor home and brought mr bloomquist out and he took the kiddos into his pits signed their swag took pics with them. I thought that was pretty stand up of him and his crew. Love hearing him speak on his career.
He had some of the best paint schemes out of all the dirt late models every one of his cars are unique my favorites got to be the blue and black hot rod. Or the 2020 white an black drydene, chris madden ran the matching car to it back in 2020
I remember scott at the pennsboro speedway...wat a hill side track...the kraziest track was big diamond in pa...side of a mountain looking almost straight down at track...my neck hurt everytime i sat in stands...now they rebuilt track n stands to normal style..
It is beautiful around cherokee lake down around Mooresburg and Bean Station areas. I grew up back in 1966 through 1988 in the far east end of Hawkins County just west of kingsport in the mount carmel community.
Work near there, smoke was smoldering gray and not black as you would expect from aviation fire, at first I was not sure if it was a house fire or car accident on highway 31. Volunteer fire engine left the garage near us about 7;30.
@@ericscottstevens The whole front of the plane burnt and the whole bottom part of the barn....it looks like he veered off the end of the runway and straight into the barn....it even looked like he was aiming for the double doors of the barn for maybe a lighter impact.
It would seem that if Scott just did a television documentary on his life, that was a detailed account of his life. That would be much better than a book...
It's how I've been albe to do what has just begun. If there is a email I send a single print of my original idea. Hold my own crown jewel. After I work the ground. Then maybe a Nascar Imsa and F1 races. Road course surrounding a high bank dirt oval 33° if it's possible
I think he has a lot of miles on him but I also think it’s not easy to tell people about your life. Even though he has done an interview or two in his day I just don’t think he is comfortable talking about that stuff. But when he talks about the racing his eyes still light up and he can sure remember everything that happened.

Yes definitely needs a full documentary!!!
@Phil McCracken Ok thank you!

Hope all the fellow bloomer fans are hanging in there.
Definitely needs a documentary, I could watch this all day long!
We will never forget you! RIP to the dirt racing legend Scott Bloomquist! 🖤☯️😭
I only saw Scott race once. Happened to be when he got stopped in iowa in someone else's vehicle. I have a little different perspective/opinion of him after watching a few interviews.
This is by far the best interview with Bloomquist. Amazing stuff
Bloomer needs a vlog/podcast telling these stories!
That was a excellent interview. Saw him him race November 11,1981 here in Porterville,Ca at Rocky Hill Speedway. He won the Trophy Dash that night. Still have my picture of it.

After this I'm looking for more interviews of Scott. Totally blown away.

Best interview EVER
Love your place, got to meet you in the mid 80's. Really enjoy all you do.
I remember scott at the pennsboro speedway...wat a hill side track...the kraziest track was big diamond in pa...side of a mountain looking almost straight down at track...my neck hurt everytime i sat in stands...now they rebuilt track n stands to normal style..
This was super cool, thanks for sharing!
Booming is a good guy ! And a legend in dirt track racing !

The barn at 1:29 is where he crashed his plane.....still cant believe we lost another legend :((

That'd be amazing
He did
The legend
Go Well Michael, we are all with you
Bought the Ole' Smokey Speed Shop hoodie at Volusia
I like that 2 way street. REMEMBER IT. everything has give and take push and pull bias? Racing relates to so many things in life
1:23 the barn, backdrop for many photo shoots of all his cars
Seeing that old barn where it happened is weird now!
Awesome 😎 Beautiful Area Gods Country 💯
Man I would love to go fishing with Bloomer!
Makes you wonder where it happened. Gonna miss you Scott
Those pants should be offered at the apparel trailer
It would seem that if Scott just did a television documentary on his life, that was a detailed account of his life. That would be much better than a book...
His dad did crop dusting!
That maybe the answer to the barnstorming exit?
Had one conversation with him about 6 years ago real blue collar guy
Race on 🏁☮️🙏🇺🇸
I know he wrote a book, id buy it but i cant find it
Nice
I knew Sherry Lough Sweet, she often spoke of Mr Bloomquist, . Sherry spoke often about everything Lol
Sick!
Rip legend
Does Scott even race anymore? Or did he retire?
No
RIP Scott
Sad to lose him.
Gotta get him on a podcast for 1 hour shows. Maybe do a list of veteran drivers/owners and listen to their storytelling.
He's on the Jr download now
He is awesome guy, bet that arthritis in his hand is killer, first thing I noticed was his right hand looked like a 90 year old man
Is it me or is right hand indented from turning left so much
I applied for a bloomquist job. But I drive
RIP
his truck has some electrical issues
Met bloomquist at eldora At 1am
I bet he never thought he would die flying a plane and crashing into a barn on his own property

Am I the only one that thinks something was wrong with him? He looked off and struggling the whole interview 💀
He's got alot of miles on him.

Even though he has done an interview or two in his day I just don’t think he is comfortable talking about that stuff. His transition to Caitlyn Jenner is almost complete
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Who doesn't drive their own hauler starting out?
I think he could have won more and had more comfort in the hauler
Same thing happens when you run into a shitload of money but want to work for everything
Old people hoard especially racers
Soooooooo......Then what?
He can’t get a license because he’s a Felon
Just say No
He is dead.
will he talk about how to finance your racing by selling dope. ???
I wish he did that would be pretty cool
Umm it’s self explanatory u even said it sell dope tho finance your racing gambling and whatever else you want 🤦🏻♂️
Them hybrids basically look like a huuuuuge oversized crappie
