And he will say he thrives off those haters. So true, Im a Bloomer fan and so many times have caught sh!# for being one. But when he beat those peoples fav driver made me so proud of him. Loved it when they boo him and he was picking cars off and taking the lead! So many good times at the dirt track! The GOAT rite there!
He has and will be a titan in this world as a driver. and undoubtedly as an owner, sponsor, crew chief, ect.... i think this man will still be a huge icon after he unclips his steering wheel but thats just my opinion. Because good or bad! the man is GREAT to say the least.
Good to see people in the comments that ha e come back to soak in the videos we have of Scott and remember him. He meant so much to dirt fans and love him or hate you won't ever forget him. He was one in a million
For better or worse... I'm 66 and have met Bloomer several times at Farley Speedway in IA, back in the early 90's. And he was right when he said he would drive up in his open trailer and when he jumped out he had a flowing mane of hair and the good ole boyzz hated that. Billy Moyer and he had some great battles and a few pushing and shoving matches between them... He was the badass then and still is now... Love that guy...
A sprint car qualifying on Eldora dirt has a sound all it's own. Couldn't be happier that Tony took it over. He knows tradition and Eldora is tradition.
Saw Scott several times at Jackson motor speedway in Jackson, Mississippi. He always had time to talk to a driver that wasn't a late model driver. I'm glad I met this man
I have had the greatest fortune to see Tony Stewart, Steve Kinser and Scott Bloomquist race, and now I will go to great lengths to watch Yung Money.. Unreal Talent, and All of them genuinely nice people...
I was walking through the pits at the dream this year. Bloomquist had his hauler parked on the end at turn 2. As I was walking by, I saw him through the gap between his truck and trailer. He was running his angle sander, doing his own tires. I started filming and after a few moments, he turned around, looked at me briefly, then turned back around and continued. It was a surreal moment.
I got to see Scott in about 90 or 91 at a little hole in the wall track in Isom Ky. He got there kinda late & barely had a chance to qualify. He unloaded, ran one lap & pulled off with a new track record! Very impressive!!!
I saw him in his first ever race at Isom Kentucky back in the 80's driving a Masterbilt race car number 18 and he won the race a big money race. Lucian Hall was the track operator.
I watched Bloomer win the LCQ at the National 100 around 06 or so. It was a ten lap shootout and Bloomer came from the back, and blew the right rear as he crossed the line for the win. The man is a tire guru. Love him or hate him, you have to admit he's one hell of a competitor.
When I turn on a Lucas Oil Late Model Series race or a World of Outlaws race on TV,the first thing I look for is "Where's Bloomquist". For me he's made late model dirt track racing.
@Nikolai Ninja Perhaps his local race track doesn't run Luca Oil Series... mine sure as hell doesn't and I've been around dirt track racing for 55 years.
@@MosinMan76254 I sure do remember that. I think he had a green flag start at the front if I remember correctly. One of the craziest things I've seen in racing.
My claim to fame ,I was pitted by Scott @ Tazewell his first time there ,he couldn’t get around the track,he said it was like racing in a fish bowl. Then he said,he would figure it out, I believe he did
Those 2 together in a bar over a couple of brews and to be a fly on the wall. To see both in their prime and now to see them like a vintage wine. Cap tip to both gents and a big thanks for what they gave the fans and still do. And Tony, Leah got you in a fuel car so when is she going to hot lap a winged sprinter? Just tell her its an evil handling Pro Mod that turns left.
Scott was a hero to me in the 90's. I was on a small limited late model crew at the age of 15. I first saw Scott at a small track in Clearfield PA which was our home track. Then again in Hagerstown MD and was amazed at his skill in a late model. I never managed to gain the financial position to drive myself but I will never forget that race in tiny Clearfield where this driver showed up in a really nice trailer to show us small town boys how it's done.
Gives me a whole different way of watching this knowing that he will never be there again it sucks 😔 RIP SCOTT your legacy will live on the world is coming up and you will be remembered as the greatest dirt late model driver ever and the king of eldora no doubt
That was one of the best interviews I've ever seen!, they have both been my two favorites in racing since their early days!. Bloomer & Smoke in my eyes the best!.
Scott is a humble person I help out at the dirt late model hall of Fame at Florence speedway done it for awhile I'm sure he had a good time this weekend at the north south 100 good person
I like how they kept the advertisement on the screen during the interview of the world 100 it's just around the corner and I can't wait nothing but camping having fun and racing
I forget what year it was exactly. After Tony had purchased the big E. Scott was running like shit, for qualifying races , but was still in the show. ( The World) we were at the campgrounds across the street from the track. Big commotion going on in the afternoon. . People were along the road to the east and west. Apparently Scott wasn't aloud on the track, and used the side road to adjust his timing. With fans lining up down both sides of the road. I didn't see it, but just missed it. I asked several people what was happening . They all said Bloomquist was in his car raising he'll on the street. He got his timing adjusted and finished second that year. Thought to myself , that is fning nuts. Been a fan ever since.
I feel I missed the greatness of Bloomer. I grew up a sprint car fan and have been to kings royal the historical big one, 4 Crown Nationals and Knoxville Nationals. Never really got into Late Model racing. Guess I should have payed attention a little more.
Been to 29 World 100s used to be on Sunday afternoons when you talk Bloomquist you talked the very very best A lot of good you up and coming drivers now but they'll only be one Scott blue question
As far as the facility Stewart has done great. As far as the track surface he killed it! All the banking is gone, the allure that was Eldora is gone! Many many championship drivers have said the same thing.
Sadly I was never a Tony fan until about 5 or 6 years ago. I think because he was sooooo good I just wanted someone else to win. But now days I have much respect for the man. My loss for not being a fan of his for the last 20 plus years. Go Tony Stewart………
I always had this feeling simply by appearance that SB was kind of an ego maniac and somewhat arrogant.........seeing this clip has completely changed my opinion and now im kickin myself ibn the ass for being an "assumer". My respect Scott.
We were at firecracker in Sarver PA maybe 2009ish. And he showed up to the country concert after first night. I look over my shoulder and it's him standing next to me and he was really cool(as my crew said he talks to nobody). The best part was we went to Indy for Tony's show...and he recognized me there!
10-4 on the aging in dog years and it ain't the mileage it's the hard miles that add up to wear and tear I'm here to tell ya at 58 when the adrenaline slows down you feel everyone of those years farming and crawling around under race cars in the gravel pits , wouldn't trade a minute of it for any fortune 💰💰💰
Kinser and Hewitt are definitely the two best open wheel racers in Eldora history. Larry Moore and Bloomer are the two lm racers in Eldora history, but I think what separates Scott is the magnitude of the races he's won at Eldora. (8x Dream, 4x World) Now alot of that has to do with the timing, racers from previous era's didn't have the opportunities the current generation has.
RIP Scott ,
Two legends right here!
RIP BLOOMER, you were the true GOAT of the dirt track world, the legend of your name will carry on forever in the dirt world, we'll miss ya!!!
I could watch hours of this...just 2 legends talking racing
Tony is not a legend he is murderer.
Bloomer is a legend, Stewart is pos imho..
No matter what anyone says the day Scott says he’s done and hangs up his racing shoes, late model racing will never be the same
I'll second that indeed!
So true..
Big fact’s
He has and will be a titan in this world as a driver. and undoubtedly as an owner, sponsor, crew chief, ect.... i think this man will still be a huge icon after he unclips his steering wheel but thats just my opinion. Because good or bad! the man is GREAT to say the least.
Imo he's the last of the Legends
Good to see people in the comments that ha e come back to soak in the videos we have of Scott and remember him. He meant so much to dirt fans and love him or hate you won't ever forget him. He was one in a million

Stewart is the caretaker of Earl's dream....and doing a fantastic job.....Eldora. the Big "E".
Enjoyable interview to see these two icons discuss their lives in racing and what Eldora means to them.
I have had the greatest fortune to see Tony Stewart, Steve Kinser and Scott Bloomquist race, and now I will go to great lengths to watch Yung Money.. Unreal Talent, and All of them genuinely nice people...
Could watch this all day long with these two talking

The legend, cool story
Great interview. 2 legends. Love them or hate them...legends
And 1 murderer.
Bloomer, you were a BMF sir. Fly high GOAT.
I have been following Scott since the early 90's... Amazing..
And a shout out to Billy "the Kid" Pauch, DIRT legend.
Great interview! Never saw Scott smile and laugh so much!
I got to see Scott in about 90 or 91 at a little hole in the wall track in Isom Ky. He got there kinda late & barely had a chance to qualify. He unloaded, ran one lap & pulled off with a new track record! Very impressive!!!
Seen him as kid at Thunder Ridge.
I saw him in his first ever race at Isom Kentucky back in the 80's driving a Masterbilt race car number 18 and he won the race a big money race. Lucian Hall was the track operator.
I was at that Dream in 09 when they battled for the lead and Owens ended up winning. Was a good race to watch
I could watch this all day
Two legends right there .
Absolutely Phenominal interview with these two legends. ELDORA is always a special place in my heart. Great.....great.....video
These are legends standing together telling stories just think if moyer could be there too he's a legend at eldora as well
2of the best legends, talking about dirt racing is fantastic.
My 2 favorite racers, together, great interview.
Thanks FloRacing, that was a great interview.
That was awesome two legends like that don’t get no better!!!!!
Great interview. RIP.
Probably one of the best videos I've ever seen. Never seen either race but these two here are the best.
I watched Bloomer win the LCQ at the National 100 around 06 or so.

Remember when he won with the left front barely hanging on... that's a wheel man right there!
@@MosinMan76254 I sure do remember that. I think he had a green flag start at the front if I remember correctly. One of the craziest things I've seen in racing.
He's alot like trump. You either love him or don't, but you can't argue with results!
Two of the greatest race car drivers ever , bloomquist and Stewart
MUCH RESPECT FOR BOTH
My claim to fame ,I was pitted by Scott @ Tazewell his first time there ,he couldn’t get around the track,he said it was like racing in a fish bowl. Then he said,he would figure it out, I believe he did
Steve Kinser was also one of those guys on a national level everyone came to see win or loss. Though he usually won.
Great Interview from both of them. 2 legends right there.
No Scorpion Stewart is a murderer and psychopath forever.
Those 2 together in a bar over a couple of brews and to be a fly on the wall. To see both in their prime and now to see them like a vintage wine. Great interview and stories with Scott & Tony!

FLEMINGTON used to have that orra . when you walked in to the stands and scoped out the track you could feel it.
Great interview with 2 legends looking back on there way to greatness. How could you go wrong.
Old age and experience will overcome youth and experience every time!
I hope Stewart puts Bloomquist in a SRX car next season!!
Perfect man for it. Which one did he run? I didn't see him at Eldora SRX..
Greatest of all Time. Sorry Billy.
I have machined parts for him, before I retired. I never really knew him till listening to these interviews. But I'm very impressed.
Bloomquist is easily the greatest of all time
I have met Tony, now I hope to meet Scott. Great interview!!! 🏁
Excited that Tony Stewart All Stars are coming to Grandview on Aug 26, 2021.
the man. the myth. the legend of dirt tracks. you take your pick on who im refering to.
Well bloomquists merch trailer says that so probably him
Pretty cool stuff kind words from Smoke.
Everybody tries to make the show. Bloomquist is the show. Tony is a pretty big deal himself.
Scorpion Stewart is still a murderer and moron
Great interview!
Great set guys. Thank you for sharing
Hard to describe how it feels when you are at that place.
Jack Hewitt, one of the best all time drivers.
No mention of OG #21 Moyer pretty sure he’s been around longer

These are great
If you hate Scott you're just a hater. That is all. he is a legend.
Could say the same for the Gibbs kid
two of the best!
Rip to the goat
Bloomquist should get a shot at SRX for 1 race
Sadly I was never a Tony fan until about 5 or 6 years ago. I think because he was sooooo good I just wanted someone else to win. But now days I have much respect for the man. My loss for not being a fan of his for the last 20 plus years. Go Tony Stewart………
High milage units. Wonder how many miles the 2 of them have logged on the track over the years.
I always had this feeling simply by appearance that SB was kind of an ego maniac and somewhat arrogant.........seeing this clip has completely changed my opinion and now im kickin myself ibn the ass for being an "assumer". My respect Scott.
I watched a video of him driving around his farm on flo racing I think try to watch that! You’ll like it
Scott's a Rock Star!!!
We were at firecracker in Sarver PA maybe 2009ish. And he showed up to the country concert after first night. I was there! Ole looneyville.
Im in aw!! Legends for sure
Good times cheers
That was cool.
03 i think Stewarts 1st late model race. The following year was 25th Bloomquist and 3 laps😂
Bloomer smoke love it
No Scorpion Stewart is a dangerous killer
I USE TO BEAT YOU IN GOKARTS AT COLUMBUS BOTH TRACKS . AND IT WAS JUST A THING . WISH YOU THE BEST TONY
Great interview but can’t believe talk about the greatest impact without mentioning Donnie Moran-the million dollar man.
I was thinking the same a couple have said below 21 billy moyer has been racing late models longer then bloomquist has he
Scott ran his first race in '80, I believe Billy started in '75? Not totally sure though.
RIP BLOOMER!
Too freaking Legend
“HIGH MILEAGE”😂😂😂

Darth Vader 2014 from the tail!
RIP Scott! 😞
And a decade ago RIP Kevin Ward
4:58 at the same time Owens
I hope tony turns the main grand stand named after Scott.
R I P SCOTT BLOOMQUIST😎
100% make some kind of noise. The simple things.
Put bloomquist in an srx car love to see that…bring Wille T back I think he was a little rusty
I think Halie Deegan ran in that same race along with Scott Blomquist at Knoxville.
nice you said it catalog racing no more ingingnuity. Chop cut rebuild. Gone
He already has at Knoxville
I was not a fan of Scott. I watched this video and 3 others couple years ago and changed how I seen him. Went from no respect to total. RIP Scott..
Who likes bloomquist
Steve kinser and jack hewitt was at the same level of Scott
