Johnny Kolesar was one of the greatest Wolverines ever! And Demetrius Brown had a shortened career because of issues but he was exciting to watch! He had a rifle for an arm and could run too. The 1988 team had the best backfield of any Michigan team with Jarrod Bunch at Fullback and Tony Boles and Leroy Hoard filling out the "wishbone" formation!

I remember having to help my girlfriend's parents move and we got started late and I had to listen to most of the game on the radio. We got done just in time to watch Kolesar's return and catch. What a day. Her whole family was from Ohio originally but a few were UM fans. All's well that ends well. Lol

    1. this still remains the only time in my memory that you saw tosu fans applauding the bucks heading into the locker room after a loss. being down 20-0 to a superior um team, on their way to a 4-6-1 season (1st losing record in 22 years, only the 3rd in 40 years) and that 2nd half comeback truly shook the 'shoe.
    2. i know rick leach qb'd 3 straight wins in the late 70s, but i'd argue that no ugly hat player in modern history had a more dramatic effect on the outcomes in this rivalry than jon kolesar. unreal.

There were signs Cooper could turn program around this season including this game. Never could get a handle on Michigan rivalry especially in Ann Arbor

    Thought and a question:
    1) Ah yes, the 80s era OSU midfield logo. God that was dumb.
    2) Who was the announcing team here? Don’t recognize the play by play guy’s voice.
