What do you think about the Logitech BRIO 300 webcam? I can only fault it on a bit of graininess in my background, but color accuracy and foreground looked very good and the microphone is also quite good - especially for it's ~$70 price.
The c920 lasted so long because there was little competition in webcams. With all the new webcams coming out of China, Logitech needed to up their game. The Brio 300 looks like an improvement. I thought the audio was great for a webcam and when adjusted the picture quality was good. This would be great for work from home people.
and anyone who's thinking of "upgrading" from a c920. I decided to plug my webcam back in again to windows 10. make sure to install the logitune software first. because for some reason the Logitech gaming software is a massive downgrade for the camera and doesn't use rightlight tech which is in the camera.
Thanks for the comparison Jeremy! This was very helpful!! Question for you: if you con't have a USB-C connection (desktop computer) for this, is there any problem connecting it to the computer via a USB-C to USB adapter?
@@larsonstudios I've not experienced issues with USB-C to A adapters in general. Occasionally, some of the super cheap adapters don't get recognized at all, and if I do see that, I'll use a reputable brand like Anker and that fixes it. (the cheap ones are usually included with budget peripherals and I have many)
@@DeployJeremy cool. What I meant to ask is there any degradation in quality…or is it limiting the full potential of the camera? And I read some reviews that it didn’t work well with Mac computers. Is that true?
The reason I originally ordered the C920 Pro is for its' ability to close-up focus, for technical tutorial videos - electronics ("overhead" angle)... after rummaging through youtube videos, ordered Brio 500 (plus USB 3.0 "A" and USB "C" adapter), will see how it works. (too late? NOW hear about 300-series...) Absolutely NO interest in Talking head videos. ("face for radio")
I bought the brio 300 and it is not even working! it shows up as usb boot on my computer. reached out to logitech support and I can do a way better job at troubleshooting than them. I also found that this device has this issue going on on reddit for quite a while now. I would not recommend this.
@@DeployJeremy got it to work. I had to use a 4th windows computer to make it update its firmware. It was such a hassle. I wonder how would someone with just a single device will do if they have this issue. I read through reddit it's been reported too many times already. But as soon as firmware was update, plugged it to my main computer, it was good for how much its worth. It is great actually, hopefully not too many people experience the issue.

Great review on the Brio 300 but the C920 has it beat for color tones IMO. The last side by side comparison clearly shows that. ❤

Agree. I also prefer the 78 degree lens and it can create a sharper image versus fixed focus

Funny....reviewing all the webcams and the best one is the one you are using on your channel. 😁😁
Thank you for the review! Very useful

Ótimo vídeo parabéns. Vou comprar a Brio 300. Abraços
Do you know of any issues with Brio 300 working well with Macbooks?
I use it with Windows, but it is a UVC camera, so it should work fine on a Mac or Linux. Logitech has software for Mac, too.
Thanks for this! Any issues using a USB-C female to USB-A male adapter?
Nope, I do this all the time.

No, it's a direct pin to pin adapter.
Please do a review of the Depstech DW49 4k Webcam I promise you won't regret it.
What's your camera?
Normally I use the Sony ZV-E10 with Viltrox 23mm F1.4 AF lens
Modern yet doesn't have tripod hole
Yeah, that's unfortunate. You need to step up to the 500 for tripod mount.

The 500 is much better than the 300. You won't be sorry. 500 is less grainy, likely due to larger sensor

Wow. Sorry to hear that. Mine didn't have this issue. Sounds like a manufacturing flaw

No threading, instant pass. Thanks being up front.
Do you mean for tripod mount?
how can you do webcam reviews with a quality and frame pacing so shitty in your video review and no one says anything 🤣
