As viewer Marc mentions, 180 lbs is not 60 kg, it's about 80 kg. My mistake. The point about the toxins is still mathematically valid since the lowest toxin liver for sperm quality concern was still too much at 285 lbs. I blame the US for not using the metric system 😜
I work in healthcare in Pennsylvania. I have to convert lbs to kg every day. So it was an easy find for me. Plus, I like to keep my weight under 80kg. US healthcare mostly uses metric, but height and weight are usually measured in feet, inches and lbs, because that is what the consumer understands. It's pretty messed up here. @epic bengal I simply disagree with what you consider evil and good. I have personally been on a carnivore diet for over 5 months now and personally would not go any other way. I do crossfit and have experienced muslce gain and weight loss at the same time. If my diet was so detrimental and bad according to the mainstream science, why am I experiencing the opposite? When I also do workouts far more extreme than your average gymnast I could be lying and also the thousands that have tried a strict carnivore diet, but at some point you have to ask yourself maybe their telling the truth and are not "evil", but like yourself believe in their ideology. The concept of meat consumption shouldn't be so far fetched. Everyone consumes meat only difference is I don't consume carbs and instead I consume a buttload of fat. Fat has become my main source of energy. Which is the cleanest source of energy available in nature. I could be biased, but I do not consider Mic the vegan as healthy as he portrays himself. His skin is extremely pale and fits the stereotype vegan look really well. I personally am not a big fan of liver king, but there is multiple doctors ext that are advocating for carnivore, which actually looks very healthy. Esspecially in comparison to mic the vegan. Take for example DR Paul Saladino or DR Anthony Chafee. They simply look a lot healthier than Mic the Vegan. Nothing against Mic the vegan, he looks like a cool dude, but wrong on this issue.

I just wanna say, the liver, among other functions, is a filter organ- just imagine the funky stuff you might be ingesting from industrially born and bred cattle.
It would have to be some really top notch stuff for me to try it raw. Store brought liver must be cooked though no way that you should consume that raw.
@ Rita Eagle the issue with liver is not whether you eat it the issue is where is it sourced and how much of it do you consume. That’s the biggest problem in the vegan community is that proponents of veganism never differentiate between organic, pasture raised non gmo meat and regular conventional meat that is filled with hormones, antibiotics, glyphosate and gmo’s. They refuse to point out that all human civilizations are animal protein in moderation and to this day the longest living people eat a little bit of animal protein event week

I've never met anyone who actually believes the liver King. I work in the fitness industry even, they hate him, i didn't know about him and just always heard about people hating him, especially in the gym.
i have calculated that the max amount of liver one can eat without developing vitamin A overload is just 38g of (cooked) liver, or 32g according to Cronometer. But since dietary vitamin A accumulates in ur own liver, it wouldn't be safe to eat even just 32g of liver every day. If you wanna meet the RDA of vitamin A from just liver (and no other food sources), you would have to eat just about 10g of liver per day (or about 20g of liver every other day i guess, and so on). But now that I think about it, if vitamin A accumulates in the liver depending on how much of it is eaten, I guess cow liver doesn't always have the same amount of vitamin A cuz it depends on the cow's diet, so idk.

I used to love chicken livers. Now (over 2 years vegan) I feel more ashamed of that than necessarily makes sense. I mean, it's not really different, ethically, from eating a hamburger. I think it's because I always had to bypass my natural disgust while I was chopping up the livers. Also, I had to chop up the livers of a lot of different chickens at once. I totally believed I was doing that because it was essential to my health, though. (I believed I needed the iron and was convinced it was especially nourishing to my body.) Given my beliefs at the time, it was justifiable, but as I said, I now feel this sense of shame about it. I suppose at least partly because I was so taken in by such false beliefs.

Of course. I mean what this video says.👍 good video as always. Also, some very interesting liver related trivia: suddenly vultures started getting scarce, in danger of extinction, maybe twenty years ago. Studies revealed that the very common drug diclofenac, used as a pain reliever in humans and very extensively for farm animals, was lethal to vultures. As usual resistance to this new idea by farmers. One particular species of vulture was particularly vulnerable, many dying of this poison. Then it was found that this species is a sort of apex species: it lords over other types, and when an animal carcass is spotted other vultures make way for this dominant species. Now the interesting part: the most nutrient rich and desired part of the carcass is the liver, and getting first feeding rights these vultures make a beeline for it. But the liver is also where the toxins are stored, in the highest concentration, including residual diclofenac. So this species was dying off faster. I saw this in a video on the subject long ago. At long last diclofenac was banned for veterinary use but the ban being followed well or enforced we can only hope for. Well I hope people found this interesting as I did when I learnt of it.

I have a really interesting topic for you!! I don’t know if it’s true or bunk 😂 plant chomps actually covered this issue of iron overload and it seems legit, and I have heard that anemia in women is actually a low copper issue and low retinol issue and not a true “low iron” issue because it’s a transport and utilization problem and I’m like genuinely very interested in this lol; What they claim is that women’s iron recycling system is much more efficient than men’s, especially when we are pregnant, and we are actually often iron *overloaded* due to things like enrichment of food and that it’s hard for the body to rid itself of excess iron, and that low retinol and copper causes the iron to get “stuck” in soft tissues and not utilized properly and therefore blood tests look like low iron, and that the fatigue that comes from “anemia” is because they have low ACCESSIBLE iron. Also that our period helps with an “iron detox” and donating blood is also a good thing. I’m genuinely curious if this is true, and if it is true, is beta carotene fine to get the system working vs retinol? A lot of the people that subscribe to this theory claim it HAS to be retinol and not beta carotene 🙄 I’m sure beta carotene could do the job because it becomes vitamin a but 🙄 I would LOVE to hear about this topic since it’s really kind of a different topic!
Well its more about red blood cell regen after losing it in a menstrual cycle. Too many women lose too much iron/blood cells. getting more iron won't fix the issue
Plant Chompers' video is very good and kind of scary. Annyoing that it's not at all as simple as just eat some iron supplements of any kind and you're safe.
Random, but could you clarify the "too much protein in dairy leaches calcium from bones" thing? My older Neal Barnard books mention this, but then I thought I read it's been debunked.
I don't necessarily wish bad things on people, including this liver guy but part of me wants to see them have some sort of health issue that comes up that is directly attributed to their extreme diets so that people will see what this will do to a person. I hope it's caught early and can be resolved but that's the only way these people will learn and it will help prevent more people from going down that path. There is no long-term evidence of these diets being even remotely healthy. They can't say the same about vegans. And this is only because these people are in influential positions. Any harm that comes to people following these diets is on these influencers.
The irony is palpable. Hundreds of people on vegan diets have gotten sick and made RUclips videos to chronical the horrible decline in their health due to the diet. And of course all the vegans comment about how they weren't doing it right, or they had some kind of eating disorder previous to being vegan, or they ate too much raw foods, or (my favorite) "they were never really vegan in the first place," etc. etc. etc. Some of them came very, very close to dying until they began eating animal foods again.

this is not actually the case; just about 2-3% of the fat in the liver is saturated. I don't think you are sufficiently educated to comment on this issue.
That has a lot to do with genetics. There’s people who eat tons of saturated fat and cholesterol and never have any issues, but if you combine it with a high carb/sugar diet then you are asking for inflammation.
@@mauriciomendoza7128 the blood lipids are a canary in the coalmine so to speak. It's more like genetically some people show the signs of heart disease more readily than others, it doesn't make such people more resilient. I could be lying and also the thousands that have tried a strict carnivore diet, but at some point you have to ask yourself maybe their telling the truth and are not "evil", but like yourself believe in their ideology.
It would have to be some really top notch stuff for me to try it raw. Store brought liver must be cooked though no way that you should consume that raw.
The amount of vitamin A is in liver can reach pretty bad toxic levels
@ Rita Eagle the issue with liver is not whether you eat it the issue is where is it sourced and how much of it do you consume. That’s the biggest problem in the vegan community is that proponents of veganism never differentiate between organic, pasture raised non gmo meat and regular conventional meat that is filled with hormones, antibiotics, glyphosate and gmo’s. i have calculated that the max amount of liver one can eat without developing vitamin A overload is just 38g of (cooked) liver, or 32g according to Cronometer.

That guy must smell terrible. Total idiocracy.

Wow! Good topic
@@moonlitmatt3241 I agree. lets get mic to see this one.
@@thatsalt1560 could you please give me the title of the video by plant chompers that discusses this.
Mic, God Bless You. I pick up so much good things on your vids. I'll get to do trip one day.
Yuck! It makes me appreciate the taste of the plant based food I eat.
His health will suffer eventually.
Either the fault will go to genetics, or he drops dead of a heart attack.
He will suffer the consequences.
Fault will be genetics, not diet.

Higher fruit consumption increases risk of cavities, but it’s still worth to eat them, because they are so healthy.

I'm genuinely looking for answers about the fluoride in toothpaste tidbit that's mentioned in the video. Lately I've been opting for fluoride free but I still flustered each time I have to choose because I'm not confident I know which is best. I don't consume tap or city water and I'm on well and my drinking water is RO adding minerals. I know this is the least important take from this video but if I'm making the wrong choice then I want to understand why and consider something else. Favorite vegan brands?? Thaaaaaaank you.
Keep up the puns please
All will be revealed at the time of his death, if he really thrives he’ll live up to 90 or more.

Eating liver, raw or cooked, is super high in saturated fat. I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy has worse blood than Shawn Baker.
this is not actually the case; just about 2-3% of the fat in the liver is saturated. I don't think you are sufficiently educated to comment on this issue.
@@v.a.n.e. I’m currently taking nutrition classes so not completely but almost there.
Much of that inflammation comes from TMAO formation which is caused largely in part by consumption of saturated fat and carnitine which help dysbiotic gut bacteria flourish and produce inflammatory wastes including TMA, the precursor. This is caused largely by one type of food, and it's not plants.
@@ojk14325b This shouldn’t be a problem if you have some variety in your diet. That not only includes meat but also probiotics, some veggies, and fruit. Just sounds overhyped honestly.
