I am going to try this later! Thank you for the photo showing where to grease it!
Hey what's up! You're welcome! Good Luck!!
killer explanation - thanks!
Hey what's up! Thanks!!
Did that problem get worse after you replaced the clutch hydraulic line with the steel braided line?
Hey what's up! No it did not get worse. Strangely I only get the chrip in the winter when the weather is really dry and I also drive hard.
My throw out bering comes and goes it took it to the transmission shop and they can't find a sound. But when i go onto first gear releasing the clutch makes a rattle
Hey what's up! Sorry to hear about your troubles. If the TOB squeak comes and goes, it's usually most audible when the transmission is hot. Not sure about the rattle, but a quick search on google revealed it could be a soft transmission mount. Maybe a group N mount will solve the rattle.
could i try jus wd40? or does it have to be this exact one? cuz when i jus press the clutch in and about a lot of times it goes away
Hey what's up! I can't vouch for anything other than what the tech manual specs out or at least the equivalent.
@@j168vlogs got it thanks man!
can I upload a video and if you can try identify this sound .. similar to yours .. please
Hey what's up!! Sorry bro, I'm not qualified to make a diagnosis but one big indication is if the chirp disappears after depress the clutch pedal. You can try to post a video on NASIOC and see if any Subaru Techs will help you. Sorry to hear your're having car issues, hopefully it's nothing serious like this chirping problem I have. Good luck fam!!
Any update on this fix?
Hey what's up! The squeak is starting to come back after 10 months. Right when the weather started getting cold. I think the grease has dried on the clutch fork. Going to do an update video.
i’m having trouble trying to put the rubber boot back on
Mine doesn’t even have a boot😢
@@KingSoully12 what that’s crazy i half assed put it back on and didn’t put my intercooler on correctly and drove it for a couple days now it’s loosing air and stalls when i hit boost…
@@takuache338 ohh 😅 I have a front mount intercooler, but I was talking about the shift fork boot yeah, it won’t run without the boot. Going to the intake though.
@@takuache338I had the same issue when I had my clutch replaced
Update of this method?
Hey what's up! The chirping comes and goes. I think it is worst during the winter time and may be a fundamental design issue when you drive the car hard. There is a TSB that replaces a whole bunch of parts but I am not sure that even works.
I have a 22 rex, starting to having this happen now. 25k on it. Chirping/cricket noise goes away when the clutch is pressed.
Hey what's up! Dang, I though they would have fixed this problem by 22.... It's pretty annoying. Grease does not provide a permanent fix :(
@@j168vlogs ya stinks. Need to drop off at the dealer for a little
Good thought, hopefully they will perform the TSB for you for free, unless your car already has all the upgraded components.
@@j168vlogs nothing is upgraded on the car. Just muffler deletes. It was just dropped off today, so let's see what the exact diag is.
@@Ninja__247 Keep me updated fam.
Is this permanent fix? Mine keeps coming back and the red high grease i used from Valvoline keeps drying up
Hey what's up! Man....that sucks. You may try the manufacturer recommended grease (philips 66) and see if that helps. Other than that, you may look into the TSB or talk to a performance tuner about aftermarket clutches and wheel bearings. Sounds like you drive your car hard if you are able to dry the grease up.
@@j168vlogs thats the funny thing. I don't drive hard at all. Normally always shift 3000-3500 rpm. I think i found another solution tho. Will see if it comes back. But so far so good. Also drives different as it moved the clutch engagement point and lessen clutch pedal travel
@@robbiexiong3508 what did you do
@@arslansaeed8570 adjust the clutch pedal position and bearing rod behind the gas pedal. The squeak is due to wear and the grease dries up fast. Really fast. After this i only ever hear a minor bit on really cold mornings, then its gone. You'll have to play with the rod position to get it where you need. Make it depress on a cold morning until the bird stops singing lol
@@robbiexiong3508 , So I had my clutch and transmission replaced about 10k miles ago and now as of last week , I’m experiencing the chirping sound. I’ve heard this is a common issue , can you tell me is your fix still working and have you experienced any other issues with moving your clutch pedal in ? Also , mine doesn’t start until my car heats up and I drive for a bit.
