- So after making the video on how to make "X" Horsepower in a Subaru WRX STI, you guys wanted on one the FA20DIT WRX. So here ya go! Remember there are multiple ways to make power, there are multiple parts you can use.
This is my list of what parts I suggest and the modification path I would follow.

Just to toss it out there, you mention colder plugs and the NGK 2309's. I made this mistake today and picked those up, when the FA doesnt use those plugs and the plug my tuner said to use are actually the BRZ plugs, part # 22401AA801.
Thank you, spaced the part numbers were not same same. Pinned 🔥
@@Smeedia should update description, i almost bought the 2309's until i saw this comment.
You can just buy the stock range plugs. They work just fine until you are extremely modified and built.
@@kclove86 I went flex right away so my tuner said to do the plugs.
Oops , I did not see this comment , and basically added the same comment below yours . I have a brand new set of 2309's , because I too made that mistake .
No I'm blaming you for my engine blowing I'm March lol but honestly dude I'm glad you put up a video like this up because all the information I found out I had to do months and months of research so I can build my car the way it is now. So your info can help the any everyone so they don't gotta look hard
Hopefully helps some peeps out 🔥 try to save everyone some time 🙏
@@Smeedia trust me it I believe it will because something like that could had saved me sometime but I'm a car nerd I probably would had did some research not as much
Nope, I will have them pulled up but I'll rarely look at them. I know my cars well, I built my cars so I know how they're going to respond. If thr car starts acting up, throwing a fit or doing some weird shit then I'll start looking at the data.
Subarus aren't made of glass, when they're properly built you have very minor issues
Awesome! Thanks for making this video. Honestly had some ideas on what I was shooting for in my 16 WRX (roughly 350-400whp), and now having this to really pinpoint what is necessary and what will keep it reliable is amazing. Keep up with the awesome content! Always looking forward to your uploads 😊
Glad I could help and keep us posted on how thr modding goes!
@@Smeedia of course! Thanks for the reply!
@@tylerpowell8237 any updates bud? thinking of how much power i wanna make out of my '19 rex and am just tryna see as many routes to go as possible
I have a 2020 WRX BASE with the FA20 and I’m running N1 invida single exit exhaust. LPFP which is the AEM 340 w/ the DW kit and running an E50 tune. Everything else is stock n im tuned by Daniel Florez. Floreztuning. Makin around 400. Prolly closer to 370-380ish but that’s in 95+ degrees
I keep finding myself coming back to this video as I been building my 2018 WRX. I am stuck @ 470whp on E60. I'm spraying meth but I don't know how much more I could spray. With #4 and #6 nozzels, my IDC hits 43-46% so I'm still running out of fuel. Running an aem340 intank pump now, would going up to a 450 or 525 help at all?.
Man, I need to thank you so much. Your videos are very helpful! Clear. Informative. Unbiased. I’m not new to modding or building cars, but I am new to the boxer turbo motors. Strong work! Thanks!
Anytime and glad I could help! 🔥😁
Just bout a 2016 WRX on Tuesday… NEEDED this video 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yessss!!!! Congrats on the car!
@@Smeedia Appreciate that! Thanks for the great and informative videos
Welcome to the gang
you need all that for 300 wheel? mine made that with nothing but cobb AP and turbo back lol stock intake no boost controller no top mount
Dude do a fa24 swap to a va body i'll donate my car and buy parts let me know..
Man a wealth of information to all of our Subie brother and Sisters out there in Subie Nation. A great video, brother. Stay safe.
You as well Paul ans have a good weekend!
I have the mods you said should put you at 300 Hp, except the j-pipe. I’m making about 240 Hp. My tuner said my cat is probably old and dirty. Do you think a dirty cat could really restrict that much? Would swapping to the GS gesi j-pipe boost me close to 300? I know it’s hard to tell just from that info but I’m curious if you’d have any input
A clogged car will heavily effect performance. 10/10 suggest the Grimmspeed or Cobb J pipes 🤝
Quality video! Can you also make a quick video elaborating more on supplemental mods when getting more power? Things like suspension/control arms, transmission/clutch, and even the viability of "longevity" mods, like pitch mount braces, etc. Thanks!
I can put something like that together 🔥💪
For those of you who still want to move ahead with TGV and EGR deletes - Cobb no longer allows tuning for that, so I went to an ECUTek tune on my 2020 WRX. Cobb Big SF intake, Cobb catted resonated j-pipe, Invidia R400, TGV & EGR deletes and GrimmSpeed 3-port boost control solenoid. Car is making 325 whp and 335 lb-ft after the tune. Very satisfied with the result. AOS is getting installed very soon, TMIC next.
Ecutek doesn’t allow those either lol
@@ParkerOviedo I think that going forward you might be right. I heard they are going the Cobb route as well, unfortunately.
Do you know how to or if you can eliminate that loud flutter you get from ewg on fa20 motors? The sound is not really for me
Best bang for the money : flex fuel kit, upgraded low pressure fuel pump, 3 port boost controller, Cobb access port and Pro tune.
Easy power
100% that's my setup and I love it
How much HP?

@@Capt_Horace4819 Mike Adkins at Mtuned is a beast. I daily it
with all the money spent on this thing you could just buy a corvette or any other car to make this power for half the price
Note on the Grimmspeed J-pipe. As far as the ECU is concerned it is catless even though there is a cat at the end. Because it's not between the two o2 sensors you'll still get a p0420 code. I'm trying to deal with that on NY yearly emissions testing and Cobb combating emission defeats with the Accessport. If you live in a state that does yearly obd testing like NY I'd recommend Cobb's or a similar catted j-pipe that has one between the o2 sensors.
Going for 850 in mine and hopefully I don't get stranded.
found a fairly low miles 2016 wrx for sale for a good price but the lady selling it has yet to reply to me and it's been almost 2 weeks and its still listed. sucks
Hopefully she responds 😪
I cannot preface this enough. DO NOT GET A LIGHTWEIGHT FLYWHEEL.
I’ve done all the “mods that ruin the car”
Solid motor mounts, solid trans mounts, Carbon drive shaft, Stage 3 clutch, and lightweight flywheel, by far the one I regret the most is the flywheel. I cannot tell you just how much this mod ruins the cars driveability. It makes the car such a shitty daily it’s not even funny, do not do it, leave the stock flywheel
Stock flywheel all the way 🔥
For any wrx owners looking into modifying your car. Go with Phatbotti tuning, he specializes only on the FA20 motor so he knows his shit and his main focus is reliability and safety. I’m tuned by him and am FBO e85 pushing around 375-380whp & 350lbft torque which is probably the highest you want to go on stock block and internals.
Would you recommend that over a local protune if money is not an object?
@@bestkickz2464 depends on if your local shop is reputable. If you get it tuned on the dyno it’ll only be a day but if you get an e tune it takes about a month with phatbotti. Ecspecially if your running ethanol, the process will take longer cause basically your tuning the car twice since you have to tune for the base pump gas and then on e60
@@Grimmspeed715 i live in maryland so I might just pony up for iag. I’ve been wondering, if I go flex fuel do I need 2 maps if say I need to run 93 in a pinch?
@@bestkickz2464 everything is on just one map. You can be at any percentage of ethanol content (below e65) and it’s tuned so that it automatically adjusts the map to the ethanol content in your tank. So no worries about having to switch maps or anything.
I HIGHLY recommend going with flex fuel, it’s really the only way to make substantial power gains. Plus you only need a few things to run it (Cobb flex fuel sensor, Grimmspeed EBCS, DW or AEM LPFP).
Can somebody answer my question- I have a 2018 CVT currently running a Cobb intake, invidia catback and J pipe, and a 3 port boost controller. I'm currently running it on a pro tune since Cobb doesn't have a J pipe tune for CVT.
What I want to know is though, will putting a new intercooler and blowoff valve mess up my tune? Hopefully I can get some help, thanks!
As soon as you said CVT I was like oh here we go lol it’s almost not worth the extra hassle to try and go above 330Hp. I’m learning lots from your videos but still much more to learn before I do anything major to the engine
Sir, you forgot one thing for the kiddos - MAINTENANCE, PEOPLE! She will maintain with you if you do the same.
This has to be one of the best car RUclips videos in history, so informative man. I plan on buying a wrx sometime in the near future and I will definitely refer back to this
Eyyyy good luck om your search my friend!
Hey Tanner! I need help making around 350 hp. What would you specifically look up as your recommended parts to reach that power for a 2020 wrx because im having a really hard time trying to find the parts you listed out for some reason. Please help
Subispeed did a video where they had Graham at boosted performance tune their wrx and all they did was take off the tomei UEL headers and put on the grimmspeed header and it was building boost sooner. Had increased torque and HP by around 30. So the tomei UEL header just isn't recommended.
That UEL header is a big no no 🙅♂️
If anyone is looking at this "now".....I have an AP, IAG stage 2 block, COBB CAI, Process West Verticooler, IAG AOS, dw300c fuel pump, COBB Flex Fuel Kit (before they switched to NexGen) COBB J-Pipe, STI performance exhaust. He said the hi-flow fuel pump caps out around E60. This is not true and with an e70-75 blend I'm at 404whp and 91 I'm at 328. Tuner said I could get 15-20% more hp if I lose the performance exhaust. Its my daily and I attended track days. No problems. Bigger turbo coming SoCal v4 should land me right around the 460whp mark.
What about BL58XR Turbocharger for 2015+ Subaru WRX FA20 for the turbo upgrade?
I have a '14 Levorg 1.6 (very similar platform to CVT WRX), thinking of sticking with the Stage 1 mods listed. Hoping they'll work well with a good tune. If I had to choose between intake and J-Pipe, which one would I forgo?
i daily 400whp on my wrx. e60, ets fmic, red brz manifold, gs jpipe, gs ecbs, cobb intake, dw300c fuel pump, egr tgv deletes, cobb aos
Man. Your 300hp list was damn near spot on the what I have, including a bonus aos. 297whp with similar parts you named. Very informative video. 🤟🏻
Glad to hear it was pretty much there 🔥💪
@@Smeedia I had a charge pipe added. Idk if it helps or not. But it’s there lol
my 17 STI has 262hp at the wheels with the same mods minus the access port but was dyno tuned with ECUTEK
@@micko9111 that seems low for those parts on a sti

Awesome, thanks! I just picked up a new 21 WRX premium a little over a month ago. Probs gonna hold off on any mods for a while, but when I'm ready to get it modded and protuned, do you have any reputable tuners you can recommend anywhere in western WA state? Closest major cities to me Seattle and Everett but willing to travel for good tuners
All are south unfortunately, surgeline, English and PRE 🔥
Your videos are hands down the MOST informative and easy to follow for Dummies like me.
Just went 1+ but looking to go 2+, Just gotta save that $$$ lol. I'd love to be in that 350-400 range.
Probably a dumb question here, but why does GS Intake flow better than Cobb? I Have the Cobb Big SF, but I've never heard that before. Just curious.
Larger diameter on the piping 🔥😁
I have everything for the 300whp and got pro tuned. My turbo went poo poo so ordered a fp blue since that’s all was readily available and will go get re tuned. I have an act clutch but I am worried about pushing too much on stock block. I have Cobb bpv and turbo inlet also.
Great video! Could you do a video on good suspension upgrades for different chassis, or something like that.
I can put something together 🤙
Amazing job bro ! This is the vidia of all vidias (video)Hey iv got a working prototype on exhaust option...
Instead of trying to get ther rumble back on FA DIT with headers. by for some crazy reasons they Assumed that the uneven headers on the EJ is what made the rumble mistaken they were. however I definitely honor their try and effort we all want that rumble back Anyone that's been around or owned an EJ and is moved to an FA platform 2015 and up model . Than definitely misses the rumble. I'm Using my prototype now trying to get some acoustic good sound bites/videos to upload to my channel and I'm in process of getting patent and copyright to put to market . It will come in a axel back and or 1 peice cat backs option. I'm in prosses of speaking to in hopes to strike deal with Cobb and or ETS ( Extreme Turbo systems, exhaust) in fact that's the axel backs iv installed it on now is ETS. it was on a Cobb but they got damaged by a tow truck driver so I cut it out and re-welded to EST axel back... won't lie and say it's tuned to every Pitch and tone but most definitely sounds very close Close enough for iv been asked few times at car shows people ask me if I have EJ -swap .... but if I don't get the deal I want from Cobb or EST Then I'll just private run it and see how it goes if anyone can help invest with this project hit me up I'm maken another start up business on top of my other 2 that is my career but this side hobbie typw business this product will be a product of
Meansspeed LLC. Once we get seed round going!

@@christopherleroy2980 ayo, wtf?
I agree to a certain extent with most of what you said. Every (stock) block will be different and the longevity or reliability of it will be different from the next car. Also the driving habits of the owner will also play on the longevity of engine no matter what modifications have been placed for reliability.
That being said, I do have a 2015 wrx 120k miles tuned at 440/375 on e and 335/329 on pump.
Current build list:
TurboXS DP
Invidia N1 single cat back
Tomei ELH
Boomba BPV (stock rate springs)
Steamspeed 71R IWG turbo (500hp rated)
Grimmspeed 3port
ETS FMIC
Mishimoto “race version” intake
Perrin AOS
Perrin turbo inlet
Stock range spark plugs
Tuned by English Racing.
Now I have taken the time to search through these parts and do the comparison to the “popular” build list. This is what I have found to be a strong setup. Again all cars are not the same, and I have noticed that the parts that do well on the EJ don’t have the same performance gains on the FA platform. Now at my current power, the car is comfortable and drives just as well as stock.
Plans for the future:
IBR BRZ manifold kit
BRZ intake manifold
IBR secondary injection controller
ID 1k-1.3k injectors
IBR fuel rails (port injection)
The plan is to push my stock block as far as I can reasonably before switching to a “built” block and HPFP. Now these are my own opinions and thoughts.
Please keep me posted on the injector set up once you get it installed.
Been very keen to see how well they do with port injection
Interested to know if/when you plan on upgrading the stock clutch. Also been hearing some horror stories about the tranny taking a dump but that’s a bridge to cross when you’re there.
@@xil3ntkha0s so I have heard the same kind of horror stories with the current FA transmission. Personally I think a lot of that come from people driving their car constantly hard/ not giving it time to cool down. Also constantly launching the car. Generally speaking, constantly launching a vehicle with destroy the transmission, drive lines and components. Yet people will continue to do these things and call the transmission trash. They don’t mention the 150 launches they did in the last couple days before it blew up while driving. From what I have seen, they “can” be as strong as the older sti transmissions.
As far as swapping the clutch, I plan on doing that as soon as I notice it starts to slip. As of currently, the clutch is still very strong and has a good amount of life left in it(2-3 years conservatively). When I do replace it I plan on a stage 2 clutch or a exiddy double disk clutch. Depends on how the car is handling at the time and the power it is at when it’s time for the replacement.
the average wrx owner i feel like wont go pass 400. the cost to wheel hp gain just isn't worth it.
Totally feel it, up to 400 is a solid point 🔥
Switching over to flex fuel soon. Got my sensor and fuel pump in the mail yesterday 🙏🏻
Eyyyyy 🔥🥵
Really good video. Can we still take these same pathways make more power with our FA20's now that Cobb changed there tuning platform due to EPA standards? I'm asking in reference to keeping my 2017 WRX street legal.
Just bought a 2018 wrx and hate how hard it seems to make reliable power on these. My Z needed intake/tune/exhaust and was into the 300+ range and reliability was great.
Ugh I've considered getting a wrx needing a better car for winter but honestly I don't think a wrx can touch my mk7.5 gti mod for mod or modded engine reliability. (Just my opinion)
GS intake and r400 with an e30 tune I’m at 315 whp 😅 can’t wait to throw on a j pipe and the flex fuel kit
Curious why the stock TMIC's are so bad. Not reliable? Or do a poor job cooling?
So I just bought a 2017 WRX. What do you recommend we change to keep it running smooth?
AOS, Carbon service and run through all maintance
Also congrats on the car!
@@Smeedia I’m about to order the Cobb AOS. Do I need anything else? The car is completely stock and thank you!! I’ve been enjoying it so far and I’ve watched the video to get 350HP. Im about to start ordering parts
My tuner said my 15 sti will run lean if I change to a better intake with out going to a larger injector. What are your thoughts
Yeah unequal on fa20 I'd dumb smh well they was trying to A compass something good and that's getting the rumble back in the rumble back I'm all for that I have a design that I've equipped on to my 2017 That has eliminated the need of header to make this sound I created a baffle baffle have such if you will for lack of better words that creates the same background the same back pressure and pitch of the Rumble on acceleration not as crisp end Or identical to the EJ but very very close 5 if I cut it open did some more welding And using the special types of metal which are inexpensive Brings a different pitch in tone like a toad tuning fork if you will I'm trying to get patent on it and get it in the market
just sent this to my friend with a wrx 👍🏽
Eyyyy 🔥🔥🔥
Why not just get forged internals? Why the block upgrade at 400 wheel.
Now that we are about 30k In with parts are there any other platforms that's alot cheaper to build when looking for decent power that you may have came across? that's not American muscle lol?
Smeedia I need your expertise in how to tackle an issue I’ve ran into. So I recently installed a turbo back system on my 2020 Subaru WRX Fa20 and I installed catted down pipe from MAPerformance and invidia R400 and also got an Etune from drunkman tuning. Car runs great however I keep popping a CEL P0420. Drunkman
It was suggested by drunk man to replace front O2 and I did and also installed a Blox racing rear O2 defouler to change reading on downstream O2 sensor since now it’s before my cat. It has work for about 5weeks. But now I’m popping a code P0137 low voltage on rear downstream O2 sensor. I was going to just replace the downstream 02 sensor and pray it fixes this issue. What do you suggest?
Try swapping thr downstream O2 and if it keeps poping I'm guessing that fowler is causing the issue 👀
Truthfully i didn’t watch this because i have a 02 bug eye, but you make videos I wish were around since the beginning of time. Very educational and informing thanks for the great content!
Eyyyy, appreciate the support and feedback my friend 🔥🙏
Is there anywhere I can get a Cobb Flex Fuel Sensor kit, I just saw they discontinued them, I’ve checked several places on the internet, can’t find any. Thanks for any suggestions.
Not that I've seen, Cobb will be bringing thrm back in a few months from what I hear
Personally I have the AWE tuning track exhaust on my FA wrx and I think it’s one of the best on the market for FAs and EJs

-6 🙏
Im looking to get 300hp for starters. I have all the parts on the list AP, intake, jpipe, ebcs, minus the catback, is that necessary? Ill get one eventually. I will be getting an e tune.
Not 100% necessary 🙏

It's risky but do-able. Personally would either build the trans or STI 6 speed swap it past 400.
ETS make an fa20 turbo kit that comes with headers and external wastegates with multiple turbo options to support the 500+ numbers.
Very true 🔥 left that kit out since most people will not go that far or want to spend that much
For 300-400 hp would a aftermarket radiator be good ? Obviously it would help but would it be worth the price vs preformance in your opinion
Definitely won't hurt! Koyo or csf would be my suggestions 🙏
Alright so I looked around the interweb and didn’t find what I was looking for. Question: Why would I want to go with a BOV instead of a BPV on my suby? Strictly a sound thing? Because I won’t go through the hassle of a re-tune just for sound lol.
You'd only want a BOV when gling full speed density. Typically you wouldent go full speed density until your rotated 💪
just got Tomei UEL header on 15 wrx, it's 300whp sounds so good, deff not best for power but the rumble ;)
How is it holding up after a year
Second this question.
must not be haha @@filimonasefaw1567
I remember turning up the boost by 4 lbs, larger inter cooler, boost controller, exhaust, air intake and spinning a bearing on my WRX at 31k miles. Fun times, never bought another Subaru again lol
Did it become problematic after tuning?
@@sirfartsalot1328 I had a friend that was running simple bolt ons on his wrx and he went through 1 transmission, 3 clutches, fueling issue and a boost leak that's killed his performance that he still can't figure out what's wrong.
You need to make sure youre putting as much care into reliability mods as performance. Mine runs beautifully with PROPER care
Well that’s expensive. Think I will shoot for 350 range!
Adds up so quick 😖
Isn’t cheap, but even buying high end parts… possible for under 4 grand if you do your own installation. No exhaust, intake, meth, exhaust manifold, or clutch. Making 364/390 on e50+ corrected to typical dynojet readings. Still good for a daily, but pulls real hard when you want to.
Do you need to do an STI trans swap once you get to a certain horsepower?
If I want 320-350 whp for my 2021 wrx, do I NEED to use ethanol in my fueling? Or is it just highly recommended?
I would definitely suggest it 🙏
To make sure I understand from the last video, I have a 2021 STI, so it can take 500hp on the stock block? Not saying it won’t break at all, but I don’t have to build it? Thanks in advance!
They've been seen to hold 600+ pretty well, a big factor is your driving style as well 🤙
Anything past 400 wheel honestly just isn’t worth it. You’re looking at built block, bigger turbo, Nostrum hpfp list goes on
Truuuuuuue that, STI for anything over 400, wrx for anything under
Something I heard when buying parts for our cars; Only buy parts from the same manufacturer i.e. if you buy cobb intake then you should only get the cobb exhaust instead of the others. Is this true or just a pointless rumor
Only if you plan on running an OTS map if your doing a dyno tune or Etune then you can get whatever
Any tips on how to handle all that power for a stock 2015+ wrx transmission? I know it can only handle so much torque. Is there a way to make that transmission stronger like how a 5 speed can be strengthened with a blast plates ? Thank you
400 your gling to be gamble with it, PPG gesrsets would be ideal to hold the power reliability
I have to ask why the suggestion of a step colder plug? Haven’t seen anyone else suggest that for the FA. May need a radiator upgrade in conjunction to compensate for the quicker heat transfer. I think you would have liked your FA wrx’s more if you modded them, just toss in the STi tranny.lol
Better spark control, tighter gaps, dissipation of heat 🙏
Why not just get an sti🤦🏻♂️
Two diffrent cars for two diffrent purposes 🤙
I’m picking up a 14 Impreza wrx, would I refer to the sti video for power goals or different thing entirely?
The STI video 🤙
10+ years from now, someone will be modding the 15+ wrx/sti, watch this video and see all our old comments 😎
Like a time capsule 😏
Dude man bro you was not jk about how big of pain to get transmission out i found muscle i didn't know i had. Hastag shore muscles all over lol. And should I attach the throw out bearing to the monalock or attach to forks while putting it in trying to see whats gonna be easier. I know you said i could install to the forks.
Attached the monolock to the pressure plate. Once everything is bolted back up press on the fork with your hand to lock it in place. And it sucks ass to take out and put in that trans 😅
Whats up taner grate videos keep it up. Make one for 14 and under i have a wrx 2011. O wher can i contact you for my head lights as well
Will be thr dame same as the EJ25 ones with limitations to the block and the trans 😁
Also that transmission is gonna give out at some point. Probably around the 350 wtq. Getting my 2021 wrx next week, never had one coming from a full bolt on 2011 wrx. Thinking a tbe, top mount, acessport should get me close to where I was before. From what I've read your not gonna get as much power from a intake, turbo inlet, tgv delete, as you would on an EJ, so that stuff is on the back burner for me.
Very good point that I left out!
My sti came in Nov. 11th. Accessport is getting bought this coming Friday. Can’t wait to get it so I can begin!
Yassss!!! 🥵🔥
On a 2019 i just want cat back muffler delete
What’s your thoughts on using the the GFB Hyrbid Fully recirculating, rather than the Cobb One?
The GFB always leak, have used multiple and seen a handful leak. Always suggest OEM or COBB
Have to replace my spark plugs on my 2020 Subaru WRX base what spark plugs do you recommended im stage 1 with 60,000 miles first time changing them
Just bought a 2017 WRX cannot wait to mod it after I add a few cheaper interior & exterior details. Shooting for a 340whp range these mod lists will def help. Will be my first time modding a Subaru after making the jump from Hondas lol..
Eyyyy, congrats on the car my dude!
Why do you read my mind tanner I was just looking for a good build list to see what else I need to get for my Wrx and you just save the day like always!
I got youuu 🔥🔥🔥
Hope you meant Phatbotti😆 I have a basemap from him sitting in my inbox. Just waiting for an install day 😃
Yes I did, totally mispronounced it 😅
Hey I have a Subaru STI 21 I just want to put a downpipe and headers what I have to do so it can be safe and reliable and tune ?
I would do a low pressure fuel pump, boost controller ID 1050s and just leave it at that 🔥
WTF WHY NOT JUST BUY JEEP CHEROKEE SRT8 500 WHP WHY GO TROUGH ALL THIS REALLY?????
Because I don't want a got dang jeep
Watched this with low power goals myself just cuz I was curious. Wow this got crazy quickly
Adds up quick 😖
Ets turbo kit wasn’t mentioned and I agree I’m craving more power now that I been at 400 for one year but it’s just too pricey
Left it out because most people won't snag a full set up. But for big power that is the way
Dude thank you for doing this video! I’ve been following you for a while. But now I’m going to go engine mods to try to make at least 300. I bought a 2020 wrx series white last year for xmas and just did exterior so far. Was worried about doing engine mods cause of Every one horror stories about fa20. But watching your channel it made realize that most people don’t get pro tune or Etune and that’s why they have problems also have a good shop near me called kozmic and a e85 station about 3 miles from my house so going flex fuel with access port, intake and jpipe catted and exhaust this January.
I know of kozmic, assuming your down in thr Houston area? Super good shop!
@@Smeedia yes sir!
Thank you!! All I want is 300whp out of my WRX. I was making 285 with my STI and was happy with it
🙏🙏🙏
all you need is accesport, flex fuel sensor and tune.
I just got my STi and im very happy with it not planning on doing crazy things than just keep it stock for now just want a nice suspension want it old school low
Congrats on the STI! 💪🔥
Your information is great but what about a video on mods about suspension and braking with increase in power for safety
Going to diffrent for each set up I.E: Street vs track etc. But can make something happen 🔥
Hey Smeedia, love your content and hoping you will see this. I just wanted to know if pushing 300whp would be okay on a WRX with 94k miles and no mechanical issues? Thanks man
As long ad thr cars healthy yes 🤝
@@Smeedia 💪🏼💪🏼
Always helping Subaru community! Great post and very accurate!
❤🙏❤🙏
Is it possible to get 330-350 whp on pump gas?
By the way, ETS makes a full turbo kit for the fa20. They offer several precision turbos the biggest being a 6466 gen 2. Comes with ewg headers and an intake.
I know, I left their kit out since most people want go that extreme
To reliably make proper use of the 6466 you’re talking about a full on build and it’s not cheap a friend of mine just did this after the junk stock fa20 took a shit making a measly 278whp the new build was 50k in total
Jr tuned...period....Stock rods are fine...on E75 im around 400whp but tq curve is to the right, and right at 350....Just be in the right gear, meaning not lugging it, don't go WOT 24/7 and you'll be fine...im only making 21 psi, and I've raced at speeds of 140 to 160 mph
