    I used to show this album/song to "hardcore" Pantera fans all the time. They never believed me that it was them until the solo started.

      Bro his work here is flawless. R.I.P Dime. Man I met all of THEM back in 1996. I brought my Memphis guitar for him to sign. It was a replica of Eddie Van Halens axe but a kids version. I remember him yelling Woah bro I love this axe fuckin Edward Van Halen!!!! Man I wish I Had one like this. I was gonna tell him well give me one of your Washburn Dimebolts for it but the words couldn't come out of my mouth. That would been a badass trade.

    This is the Pantera I remember from the Dallas/Ft.Worth Club scene back in the '80's....Ritz,Dallas City Limits,Matley's etc....fun times!!

      They also only consider them demos now. But back then they considered them albums. And they're dad probably has the rights to it so it's probably in his hands. I'm not too sure how it works tho.

      I got the 80s shredder tone for sure. It's a lot of pentatonic, suspended, and aelion mode scales

    If they ever were able to get pass all the BS that caused them to break-up in the first place, and they ever did any kind of Pantera reunion, they need to do it with Terry Glaze. I like 90's Pantera as much as the next guy but let's face it, this era had some of their best and most underrated work..

      Agreed fully!As far as I know,this Pantera never came to Holland-but this was on my walkman when I delivered newspapers.Almost 51 now,but I still play and enjoy this.It was no CFH but it was The Era from Hell!This is what made me what I am.

    Dime really came into his own on this one. You can tell this was the point where the band was starting to change: the lyrics are standard hair metal fare, but the music is a mishmash of their '80s style and what was soon to to come. The riff on this track is fucking sick.

      Are you really gonna say that Power Metal is cringe worthy? Honestly, the Cowboys era guitar sound is ugly to my ears. Dime was a hell of a guitarist but that guttural crunch he had later is hard on the ears. I'll take the pre-Cowboys era.

    Thank you for posting this. I lived in Dallas from 1985-1988 and saw Pantera numerous times at Matley's, Savvy's, Circle in the Square in Shreveport and many other places. I love this. Guido, Phil was not with them on this album! I don't remember his name, but I believe the singer came from another group called Lick. Heather, (Mary Ann), if you are out there, Brian and Lee say Hi! Thanks for taking us to these shows and the tombstone!

      Only a handful of songs off Power Metal in a live show from 1988 on Deezer. Nothing else before cowboys from hell. If the albums before power metal were on digital platforms like Deezer I would check them all out for sure.
