There is a lot of Megadeth sound / feel from this song. Guitars, drums, & vocals - very similar to old school Megadeth. I really like this record because it's all over the place. Traces of their Glam past, some influences of Metallica, Megadeth, 80's metal (glam & non glam), &most importantly you can really start to hear the modern Pantera surfacing - this is especially true in Dimebag's guitar playing. Can’t even articulate how glad I am I listened to this, been a pantera fan for a while and one day decided I would give this one a listen because it was the first album with Phil. One of the most underrated albums of all time, it’s amazing
I live in San Diego and back then the 1980s they had a show called Metal Shop on 101.5 KGB hosted by Brian Schok, I heard this song on Metal Shop and it was awesome.
I was in high school Wichita Falls Texas 83 or 84 and saw Pantera at Halley’s Comet. After the show I was asked by one of the band if I had any smoke, I did. Some friends and I went with the band to the Wayfair Hotel (chit-hole). All I remember is one of the guys was shooting a compound bow, beer and ice in the tub and a quarter oz gone on the morning. I think my friend Cindy still has a cutoff white shirt with Pantera in black she bought that day.
This song could almost fit right into CFH, it's that damn heavy. I listened to this album a year ago and for the first three tunes I was like..."Outside of Dime's leads, this doesn't sound much like 90s Pantera." Then this song came crashing in, and I was like "THIS is fucking PANTERA!" Head-banging thrash-groove awesomeness. What a legacy Dimebag has left for all of us. Id heard of this album of course, but never actually listened to anything on it. This kicks so much ass! Sounds like a nice blend of pure 80s thrash and Priest!

Not as much blues influence in this solo that would eventually became his signature style. I definitely hear what you mean though, this was the bridge between the power metal and groove metal fusion.
Pantera is unique because of their musical lineup style. Most metal bands have 2 guitar players. Pantera only had 3 musicians that played instruments and a singer. That was more common with glam metal than pure metal. Makes since because these guys were once glam.
