panteras heavy stuff was insane, and so was every bit of their glam stuff...they should deff publish more of their glam era material..i would deff buy.
The best Pantera song of all time. Hands down, bar none. Such a terrible shame that Dime, Vinnie, and the others hated this era. This whole album is just terrific!
Phil's catalogue is just insane.. from this to Down, to Superjoint Ritual, to Arson Anthem, The illegals, Scour, En Minor, and more.. He's one of the busiest musicians in metal..
Agreed. That's why to me Phil is the best metal vocalist of all time and at least without a doubt the most versatile, the guy at one point or another in his career was able to sing literally any style.
@@ravenfuckantifa2000 Phil got into a Whole lot of Blended Sludge after he lost out on what he was the best at. Phil was the best singer Pantera ever had. Dime Was the only guitarist they needed. And then Phil got distracted by a lot of bad promises and outright lies. It was mostly his bad luck that he said sometime in 03 that he wanted to Punch dime in the face. His Misfortune really was that he said it, but not only that it wasnt too long after that that someone actually did a lot worse to dime and everyone was speechless. This guy didnt just punch dime in the face, he murdered him. but everyone around then very quickly remembered and never really could forget what Phil had said shortly before that. It really was just Phils bad luck i think, but now, quite literally every fan of this band was also really pissed off at him too.
Yes its like a typical power 80s song, this and Europe's Rock the night are 2 of my fav songs. They give you a boost, make you want to kick ass. This is also my fav basslines to play at the moment.
Remember when pantera told us all that hair metal was brutal? Well, they were also living in the 80's too.. this album is the bee-s knees, and i love it so much. I'll always remember this album; it was a masterpiece.
Always thought this song sounded like something you'd hear straight off an 80s slasher movie. Like on a Friday The 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street soundtrack 🔥👏
That picture is funny as hell Rex looks ridiculous. The music is pretty damn good. I have this album bought it with my paper route money back in 88 still have the cd and all of Pantera's albums, every one of them is great. RIP Darrell
8 años de tu partida querido Dimebag! Desde de Argentina, te extrañamos y siempre tus Riff duros y pesados sonarán con toda majestuosidad! Dimebag Darrel.. maestro del sonido del metal extremo!
awesome song !!! grew up loving Pantera and never heard this album until 2011 ... it's impressive .. some of the best 80's metal ..love the name TOO ..POWER METAL !!!!!
Wow. They really went for what could've potentially been a risky change with the sound they worked toward with the "Cowboys From Hell" album. The transition is so shocking, like two completely different bands.
I didn't know Pantera had anything older then the Cowboys from Hell album!I've been listing to Heavy Metal since,I found a Iron maiden and a Judist priest cassette tape at a park.Been Listing Metal since 1986-87.Love that Older Pantera songs!
Cowboys will always be my favorite, it was the fork in the road between the new pantera and the old, but this is not bad at all, big van Halen influence here, and that cover is just hilariously classic
Not all Pantera fans know about the early music until cowboys came along.... I call this" Pantera lite" ❤😊 However Darrell has some awesome guitar licks on this song🤟
Pretty sure they borrowed the chorus from Unchain The Night by Dokken (the bell tolls cant be a coincidence either)... and possibly the riff from Dokken in My Dreams 😀
Random fact, the Power Metal font is same as the one Sepultura used for their Schizophrenia album, theres also quite a few modern artists using it in a totally unrelated genre of music
if this is glam then maiden, priest and dio are glam. jeez, if every song isn't 3000 mph and have cookie mobster vocals people think it's automatically glam. easily their best
Pantera should be damn proud of this album. The whole thing kicks ass .
Right? Dime's solos are just insane (as always)
@@AirGuitar I love the solo of We'll meet again
Diego Slim same. That solo is something else!
This is way better than Cowboys from Hell and phil sounded amazing before he fucked his voice up.
Brian Justus: Are you feeling alright m8 🤦🏻♂️
I love this part of Pantera's history..
Man i love this shit as well. Its almost like a different band but it still kicks ass.
Back when phil was going full-on rob halford 🤘
No one else ever wanna point out that its some of the most sexy riffs. Its like porno groove.
You can tell Dimebag was still writing the songs
it grows on ya for sure.
Pantera's early glam metal stuff is so underrated.
THIS IS METAL BABYYYYYYY
*metal fetus😂
RIP Vinnie. You and Dime can finally jam together again.
This shows how competent is or was Phil as a vocalist. Man has stuff in his sleeve.
That's not Phil.
@@SAVikingSA
This was his first album
@@SAVikingSA Phil anselmo is indeed the singer for this song. Also you can see above picture, he’s right there 👆🏻

Their best album by far. Following by Project In The Jungles and I Am The Night.

I will go with "We'll meet again", but yeah whole album is the best Pantera album ever.
Phil's catalogue is just insane.. from this to Down, to Superjoint Ritual, to Arson Anthem, The illegals, Scour, En Minor, and more.. He's one of the busiest musicians in metal..
If there was a gene therapy to repair vocal chords....... Id pay big money to a go fund me to get Phil's vocals back
From this to black metal is insane. Phil is a metal god.
Agreed. That's why to me Phil is the best metal vocalist of all time and at least without a doubt the most versatile, the guy at one point or another in his career was able to sing literally any style.
Phil has done as much as anyone could to rep underground and extreme metal while being in one of the most popular metal bands.

It’s truly amazing how you can hear the chorus influence from this song in general from Rock Hard Ride Free from Judas Priest.

Pantera is the best! 1983 - 2006, everything they made was perfect.

To me it reminds me of the 80s Transformers movie.
maybe a montage
The synth intro reminds me of The Lost Boys everytime idk if it's just me but yeah I get it totally

If it’s the OG CD (and I assume it is) it’s worth like hundreds of bucks now. Super cool
Este álbum trasmite todo lo grandioso del metal en los 80 y hace un guiño a la siguiente década.
EXCELENTE TRABAJO.
This album is great and 100% deserves a remastered version
I always forget how good this album is!

I think Phil's voice is too menacing for this style of music I like the direction the band went with CFH onward.
I think his singing is pretty good in this. it fits really well imo
That was exactly what made them who they are. Phil was like the GG Allin crashing a Catholic Church
