Either fox or ford did not use enough lock tite on those Allen's. Two of mine had some. I found out the hard way about these. Lost a few, shock guard had been rubbing on the shock and making a nice noise for a bit. I bought some new Allen's, put lock tite on them. Good to go now.
You can reuse the stock bolts but I would recommend getting the slightly longer ones they sell. These bolts hang low and get damaged easy. Changes of being able to reuse them is slim sometimes. Specially if you have already seen damage to the shock.
K-StateNation the shocks are at different angles, technically if your mounts were not bent like mine, it could fit on both sides but the driver side will be too tight. The driver side does not need as much protection though. It does need some, but not as much.
Seriously dude? The passenger side shocks faces the front of the truck and regularly gets sand blasted. If you looked at the video you saw my old 2017 shocks after 50 miles were severely damaged. The driver side shock is behind the axle. Well protected already. Only a small, very small portion sticks out and the shock mount will protect it.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad GOTCHA! Thanks, for some reason it wasn't sinking in that the shocks face a different direction. DUH! Love your videos and thanks for posting all this great raptor content. I'm going to Raptor Assault next week and hope to get some good footage to post.
Bill Beverly did you see my shocks after 10k or the other set after 50k? The driver side barely had any damage. Next to nothing. If you don’t see the value after showing how damaged my passenger shock was then I don’t know what to tell you.
Chad Jasmin it’s designed for the passenger side shock, and as long as you shock mount is not bent, it can work on the drivers side. Tolerance is super tight on drivers side though.
Great work Helio. Love the review I was looking for this.
Daniel Miranda make sure you get one. Cheap protection for those shocks
Keep It Dirty Off-Road I agree my friend thank you.

Just ordered a set and thanks again :)
Do you need the longer bolt they sell or can you reuse the stock bolt and nut?

Thanks for the info
Another way. Even easier. Ratchet strap around the entire shock. Loosen bolt. No need to use a jack. Five minutes. Try it sometime.;)
I don't understand the point of just protecting one side? Why wouldn't it be designed, or have a part that supports both sides?

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad Thanks, I guess the "driver side doesn't need as much protection" is what's messing me up. What makes the passenger side worse?

What’s the point to only protecting one side?

Done!
Those are beefy. I have forged offroads on mine.
Ford Ranger2004 another good skid.
Question - does it work on both sides based on your last comment or does it require a modification for the driver side?
From the note in the video it looked like it would fit if the mount wasn’t already damaged.
