      Lime green on one louver. Possibly just one side. Raptor R styling

      Now that would be cool. May have to try that with some wrap or something

    Do you think you could get similar results by cutting the hood and cardboard but keeping the stock vents? It seems like creating a larger opening is where the majority of the benefits come from… not the vents themselves.

      Yes you can and some have done it too. You just need to leave the structure in the middle for the bolt

    An added bonus of these vents I think would be to help keep the PS steering fluid cooler and avoid cavitation perhaps? 🤔

      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  2 месяца назад

      Maybe if you have an inline cooler. But the PS pump is so low in the engine that it gets some kind of air flow regardless.

    Looks like a great product , be nice if they had a pop on cover ,over vents when parked to keep rain out . Something easy to pop off in good weather snap back on in rain or carwash . that would be only thing holding me back to buy a set .

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  3 месяца назад

      Rains going to get in as soon as you drive in the rain so the cover is pointless.

      @@KeepItDirtyOffRoad couple of nutserts with a plastic abs cover and 2 thumb screws would work . I have to repaint my hood on my 2010 soon may be a good time to install . Great video man . Unfortunately i park mine more than drive right now .

      Your stock vents also let in water. Poor some on your stock ones and see

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  3 месяца назад +1

      Like I said, water will still get in. Stock vents let water in too and as soon as you drive anywhere you will get water. Everything under the hood is water proof in some way or another so water won’t damage anything in there

      Back in the day I had a 350z with a carbon fiber hood with two big vent holes in it and I never had a problem with water going inside the engine bay. Water would get inside from me washing the car and from the ran and it didn’t do anything but leave water spots.

    Can you show a little more about cladding with a mod like this?

    You forgot the most important info!!! HOW MUCH HP does it add??? 😂 Nice video by the way, even if I don't dig the look I am interested in how it works out for you. I read comments on forums saying people cutting the bottom holes larger had issues with heat. While we can believe almost anything they say on the internet, I am curious about your opposing experience.

      We will see here soon. What I’ve found is that if your air dam is not setup correctly, cutting holes in the hood can allow air to flow over the and around the radiator rather than through it. So there are many factors. We will see as I push mine to its limits all the time
