My only concern is I would NOT advise people to use gaskets on diff covers. Especially on a truck that's 40 plus years old... The covers have imperfections the cast iron housings have imperfections and a lot of times the gasket just does not make up the variation... 1/4 inch bead of black silicone all the way around on the inside of the bolt holes... It'll never leak
Heather Thomas from the Fall Guy was at the Providence Civic Center Custom Car show in 1985. She was signing autographs for people and I bought her a rose before the car show and brought it to her. I lost count of the hugs and lip kisses she gave me. Was definitely a high point in my life growing up. She was such a nice person.

@@JoeAustin-r4p I'm talking about the truck from the fall guy series. The series that was filmed in California. Back in the 80s where nobody would have bought a truck from Alabama when there were plenty in California.

I know you are shooting for a fall guy tribute, but I really would have gone with an extended cab. I plan on building a 7.3 vegetable oil pump truck as soon as I get ahead.
Yeah, but stunt doubles are supposed to look like the star, and they weren't using the brown and beige. So it wouldn't have been a very good "stunt double"
Why didnt you guys clean and paint the firewall with everything new it looks rough ,when you had everything off it was a easy job to be a better finish
BEAUTIFUL build! Wish you had used a better-sounding muffler, though. It sounds like it's got glass packs or sometthing. Flowmaster 30 series or Magnaflow would have been a better choice. Other than that, I absolutely love all that you guys did on this beauty.
Yeah , I gave up on these shows about 5 years ago. I rather go outside and work on my own truck . I basically use you tube videos as reference material now . Works for me and no TV . Win win
I put lots of cab corners on never cut your self short always cut it higher I cui them up buy the molding , look at the inside of that corner see the rust, that goes up on the inside. just saying
It seem the bump and rebound in the rear isn’t set to work the way it does in real life. I’ve been seeing that rear bump acts as a ride height adjustment so to speak. The lower the value the lower the rear acts and visa versa
These "full-build" videos would be much, much better if they did some editing on them. Watching the show intro and teasers 12 times is very irritating.
I really like this video, it's awesome! However, I've been trying to find a reasonable square body like this as a starting project, I found one about the same quality of this truck (before repair). The Man was asking 22K for the thing, he finally said he would take 20k, now this is for the rough truck to start the project with. I can't find anything under 15k unless it is completely stripped or rusted out and falling apart. I found one dealer that had one for 17k, but it needed TONS of repair still, he admitted it was a project to do, but, it had no rust to amount to much. I just can't find a starting truck for a project. Can someone tell me what is the current General price range for a project truck to start with as of the year 2024? I wanted to have my own project, but it looks like I'm gonna haft to spend 30k on a basic completed truck that's ready to go. Thanks for any advise and for reasonable correct pricing info for the current year of 2024.
I have a dumb question, but I’m watching the video and get to part where you start to put the new parts on and why not pressure wash or clean everything before you start putting it back together? Did I miss something? Just asking.🤷🏻♂️

Remember Fall Guy Truck had the tool box on the passenger side bed. Show was every kid's go to growing up. Awesome build.
Yeah that little tool compartment is where he kept the prop gun with blanks in it for arresting people
It was on both sides
I really like your tip on getting paint out of the can.

All I need is Heather Locklear now and I'm set, and some theme music of course!
You mean Heather Thomas :)
Heather Locklear did guest star on one of the episodes, but Heather Thomas played Jody throughout the series.

It's a long bed single cab you can watch a lot of videos on it. I think it was an 8lug though at least the ones they jumped

Not pressure testing the evaporator seems like a problem waiting to happen. It's from 85 and doubtful it will hold up long.
I’m surprised you didn’t take the diff cover off to inspect the gears and bearings
Nice truck for a Chevy but why not fix the hole in the bed from the goose neck
I have an 85 but its a gmc, they never did come with a 350 stock, they had 4.3 5.0, 6.2 and 454. Mine also came with auto locking hubs.
Engine code LS9 (350 cu.) available from '73-86 on all K5/K10/K20. Try again. Argue all you want I have the RPO sticker to prove it.

Stunt Double was a better name
Stunt doubles look the same as the actor and since they never planned on making this brown and beige. "Stunt Double" would have been a stupid name.

Anyone have a parts price list they added up?
Bidenomics had all the prices double in these videos. They originally did this in shorter episodes you can see the prices on there
If you go to the website, they have the entire build sheet, but probably not the prices. Prices have probably doubled since this was built.
What would be the use of this kinda truck? Surely it cant be too good to drive on the road with liftkit and those tyres. Cool though.
