The wrapping is too time consuming for me. I suck at it and my wrap falls off lol. I rather have some quick and easy soft waves. Wrapping looks beautiful but I suck NEXT!

Wrapping can make your hair oily and weighed down as well. I think that’s why her press lasted so long without looking stiff.

Your silk press is lasting so beautifully! I've had my hair done for about two weeks, and my ends/roots have started to revert. I live in the Bahamas soo the humidity/ heat is not helping.
Girlllll, I know that struggle too!! I'm from Nassau and this humidity is no joke. Although we're getting some nice weather now. I want to do this in January so hopefully the weather is even cooler so I can maintain the look.
Listen!! It started sprying one day and I couldn't find shelter. That was tragic. January is usually a bit cooler so you should be good.

This still looks so good. This is the same thing I do to maintain my straightened hair and it lasts about 4-6 weeks, I only straighten 2x a year.

Dry shampoo is a life saver if trying to make it last a month. Spray on scout and rub and brush along hair. Done.

I wear my natural hair straight year round and this is my routine. Some days I don't even take my hair down I just wrap a cute scarf around my head. Your hair is beautiful!

Your hair looks so beautiful and healthy. I am always scared to straighten mine because I know it won't last long. How do you keep the roots straight when working out with sweating?
Thank you! I don’t work out so I don’t have the sweating issue. But I’ve seen people blow out their roots when it reverts.
Try big rollers and don't take them down until your hair dries. You could even go underneath the dryer if you have somewhere to be. Make sure the roots are taught with the rollers.

I sweat in my head this won’t work
Do the buns as then sleep on a silk Pillowcase. It’s definitely a little tricky when you sweat in your head. I’ve seen some ppl blow out their roots when it reverts shrug
I swear in my head also, but I was able to get my silk press to last 6 weeks. I could have went 2 months but I was ready to wash my hair. I pin curled my hair every night and just slept with a silk scarf or durag and my hair didn't sweat out. I always keep a shower cap in my purse in case it rained or it was humid my hair didn't frizz
