$999 for a Surface Pro as fast as this is a great price. All Surface Pro keyboards from 8, 9, 10 and X work on the 11 and I think it is great that they now offer a range of keyboard choices in terms of functionality as well as colors. I splurged for the Flex without the pen because I already have a Slim Pen and it does provide a lot more options for use. Great review as always.
The wireless keyboard makes it more "lap" friendly, because you can set the surface on a nearby table or ledge, and then type on the keyboard that's on your lap. It also can feel more stable, because if your laptop slips from your lap, you can do real damage to it, but if all you have is the keyboard on your lap and it falls, it's super light and it doesn't bend or flex really. So not much risk of damage. It's also not top heavy without the screen.
Samsung has really nailed the display in the galaxy book edge snapdragon. Even though not very bright, it can be used outside because of the effective anti glare coating. Looks even better than the mini led in the MacBook pro
It's a shame that Samsung doesn't make a real competetor to the Surface Pro 11. The touch screens are truly useless if it can't convert into a tablet and use a pen.
What are you talking about if you actually see there web site they have all different options at least like 8 of them and most cost 100-200$ I think you have the wrong idea because people are buying the highest priced keyboard they have to offer
This is the type of device I have been waiting for! I am still using my old Galaxy Tab S7+ but have always wanted a tablet sized device that can double as a laptop. It sounds like they are getting close and this one may just be an acceptable compromise.
On the note of spending a lot of money on something and expecting things to work. Coming from someone who daily drives an iPad, even with emulation issues, this can do a lot more than that, and for a lot cheaper if you want 16 GB of ram in an iPad

@onebigfamily2446 Good points. However, as a retiree, I just need a slim and light 13 inch device to take on extended travel. My main uses are email, browsing, streaming, minimal banking, and minimal MS office. Ironically, my Galaxy Tab S7 tablet will suffice. It just doesn't have a keyboard. My SP8 does it all, but it's a bit slow. The SP11 might be a good upgrade for me. Too bad I can't re-use my SP8 keyboard.

Excellent review. As you say, the Surface Pro X-Plus at $999 is the best option, as the OLED is too expensive for the extra benefits. If you have an old compatible keyboard like me, that keeps the cost down even more. After the hype, Snapdragon on ARM is underwhelming, and I suggest that people wait for Gen 2, which will have better GPUs and efficiency cores. By then, compatibility will improve along with drivers for printers and such. Even Google Drive doesn't run on Snapdragon X chips, which is a problem.
Thao Huynh there are many who after using Oled , switched back to LCD . It has to do with the PWM on cheaper oled panels , especially from Samsung . So tell your viewers to do more research on this PWM thingy ...it causes eye strain and headaches . Pulse wave modulation .
I just did a price comparision of both Pro 9 and Pro 11 with both having 32gb of ram and 1TB for SSD, and the price is relatively the same on Amazon. And it appears just as said in this review, Pro 11 is better in terms of display and battery efficiency. So, it's as if the market is trying to make it preferable to buy Pro 11.
Even with all the issues around app drivers for non-Microsoft apps, a highly underrated feature of Snapdragon X Elite laptops is the amazing RAM speed. 8447 Mhz/s is the fastest in the business. Yes, faster than M chip MacBooks too. This leads to the snappiest experience juggling multiple apps and browser tabs with 16 to 32GB of RAM.

I am a coder, and I have been suing macs for a long time now. Nothing bad against them, they work great. But for my personal machine, I would like to re-visit windows with a tablet 2 in1, as I find my self wanting to absorb content in different ways such as in tablet form. (like in bed, next to my partner who is sleeping) Apple got it right by forcing ARM architecture to fully supported across their software from the get go. Good to see Microsoft attempting to catch up. One thing to note here, is that Windows does have the translation layer which should allow basically all x86 apps to run on arm(with performance hit), with exceptions to a few like adobe for example. at least it still does have WSL which allows you to run linux directly without rebooting, at least for me this would be nice, as i could still do work on the fly. (I have to ssh into linux machines all the time, this will facilitate that process) Obviously macOS on m series chips are great and all, but its always nice to have some variation in the market. Because no one wants a monopoly. And Apple will not make a 2 in 1 so your forced to either get a traditional laptop or buy into an IPAD. But issue there is IPAD does not natively support terminal and there are other limitations, should as being able to compile code directly on the machine if needed. (OFC you could do a vs coder server and use an app for terminal but still a workaround thats not as nice, as maybe this 2 in1 windows that can run linux) Do I need a surface pro 11 no, but it would be nice to test my workflow on one, to see at least from a windows + wsl perspective, how seamless or painful it would be to get work done. Generally if you work in IT Corp, your company prob. uses Microsoft and hence will be bound to use windows, or as coder, same situation, where you lean towards windows machines as your company is attached to Microsoft services. Meanwhile the other spectrum is, your company runs on linux environments, you will tend to lean towards straight linux distro or macOS. But nowadays coders choose their machine as a preferences to what they are used to as many languages are supported on both MacOS and windows environment. Personally regardless of how good a product is, I believe its important to try out new things in the tech sector, and support the competition when they deserve it. Also many people do not realize but you should not really use your work machine for your own personal projects. Technically all work done on that machine belongs to the company. Hence why, I know its redundant but do yourself a favor, and just get yourself a personal side machine.
Nice review. I opted for the Microsoft Surface Laptop (7) with the Snapdragon Plus (versus the elite). In short, I have found it to perfect my use case. That said, my use case for the Surface Laptop is confined to watching video, social media and general productivity apps. Everything I need works well. Performance for my use equals or exceeds a similarly configured Intel Core Ultra 7 plus the bonus of more than 15 hours of typical battery use. When I need 'tablet' functionality and better compatibility, I reach for my Samsung 13.3" Book3 2-in1. It gives me fantastic handwriting capability, surprisingly long battery life (about 8-9 hours). I was sad that Samsung discontinued the 13.3 form factor when they released their Book4 series. For heavy lifting with no compatibility issues, I use my HP X360 Specter. Perfect all around device for almost any use. Given the high price tag, I can't see the Microsoft Surface Pro as a good solution, particularly with the compatibility problems and comparatively limited battery life. There may be a better argument for the $999 Snapdragon Plus version, but even then there are just so many compromises over a traditional 2-in-1.
I don't know if it ever be possible for this device to have. something like the new keyboard for the iPad Pro M4 But this keyboard is the best and it would resolve this whole issue with the surface pro where you really need a table if you want to use it as a laptop.. Also, I long ago had a surface pro 4, And I must say, I don't know why the surface pro lineup went in this direction with the pencil/pen The surface pro four pen Was so more premium and so much nicer than what they offer now.

Can someone tell me the main difference. I have the surface pro 9 i7 16 gigs of ram. Should I keep that or get this? The OLED screen looks amazing! I don’t really know the difference between intial and ARM.
I just purchased the Surface Pro 9 because I didn’t want to spend twice as much on the SP11 with an ARM CPU where you get half the compatibility and no video and gaming. If the price was half I would consider it (because of OLED), but would rather save the money, upgrade the SP9 and get an external GPU. Bottom line, way too pricey for an ARM solution that isn’t that great. My question is where is the SP11 x86 (AMD or Intel)? Or an x86 SP10 with OLED? Anyway people must be buying these ARM devices, but I can’t stomach the price, or see any defining reason to switch from tried and true. Great review, but missed the elephant in the room. At the price of the Elite plus a $500 keyboard, there are a lot better options out there. I hope Microsoft takes all the pros of the SP11, drops the ARM CPU, and the price for accessories. That would be my ideal Surface Pro which I have loved since the beginning.

I dont know why Apple pencil or S pen should be better than Slim pen 2. I never liked Apple pencil, since its big, the place for the pencil on top of the iPad isn't great solution (slimpen is safely covered in keyboard), Slimpen has eraser on the back, no tapping on buttons needed. And most importantly, drawing with Apple pencil on glass screen really feels like just drawing with some plastic on a glass. not good. While drawing with Slim pen really feels like drawing on a paper. Thanks to tactile signals and soft surface of the pen tip. Both support tilt effect drawing. And latency on one note is really worse than "OneNote for Windows 10" And there are many touch gestures that we can use, one of them is treefinger up to show taskview, or just swipe from bottom to up, and you open the Start menu. And three finger down to minimize all aps

While drawing with Slim pen really feels like drawing on a paper. Thanks to tactile signals and soft surface of the pen tip. Both support tilt effect drawing. And latency on one note is really worse than "OneNote for Windows 10"
And there are many touch gestures that we can use, one of them is treefinger up to show taskview, or just swipe from bottom to up, and you open the Start menu. And three finger down to minimize all aps
Wait so this isn’t good for gaming or video editing? Then wtf is the point in this and why is it so expensive???
this is certainly not for whiney brokies like you
So NO Surf Pro 10??? LOL I stll have some Reservations on the Qualcom Processors.
I'm more concern about battery life
Disappointed, from X to 11 comparability still not solved 😢
I don't like the gold color
Anyone have a link for the wallpaper shown on the laptops? Thanks!

Surface Pro 11 = Microsoft’s iPad Pro with MacOS. Perfect.
exactly. I'd love to have this but i recently bought the new macbook pro
Skip for next surface with most of the app running smoothly
For me, the surface pro has been a worse device since losing headphone jack and usb port. Now that it can't support many x86 apps, youd have to have rocks in your head to buy it. It's a genuinely bad device now
Maybe its just me but its never better than an Ipad but always more expensive, if I want windows id just go got a regular laptop where I get better hardware for cheaper.
Its just you
i rather buy this than that dumb overpriced thing called Fold6
Can i pls get a free surface pro 11 or any kind of laptop that can help me with my coding for college cause my current laptop is old and can't even work with vscode or any type of code editor so pls that would really help. I'm all the way in Africa.
when I am on the boat.. I cannot already relate to this review
Bettery performance remains poor
Reminder, it dont have linux/emulation support!
Does it have wsl?
still the lapability argument out there.... ai e not used on my lap any device in 10 years or more.... things to move on from the non issue
Good review. Talk a little slower thigh.
Love bite on neck 😂
19th comment yippeeeeeeeeee
same speach all time about battery life.. great at the first month and then... 😂
In about 5 years Arm PCs will be worth it. Now. Just a few apps. Lol
If there's no hinge i don't want it, just a tablet with a keyboard option no thanks. A real laptop will stay up on it's own when sitting in your lap, hence the name.
Do you get hit? I see a bruise by your necklace
Overpriced and nothing but problems
Their laptops are much better looking. I hate this design.
i have a pro 9 but i hate it
Why?
@@davidemesina3909 awful battery life, always overheats, poor performance, laggy UI experience
@@davidemesina3909 awful battery, always overheats, laggy UI experience. ive had two units both of which had these issues. the replacement unit they sent me was a preowned unit (which i was not told about beforehand. i assumed i was getting a new unit) and came with a scratch in the upper right side of the screen. worst purchase i have ever made, dont buy from microsoft
Windows is suck as a tablet
iPad pro are way better than all 2 in 1 devices
It's not the same purpose at all.
better for what? for watch movies?😂
@@damienxie9939 better for both as big phone or laptop mini
Surface products r simply hype. Dropped sluggish surface laptops for ipad pro n the joy is pure bliss thus far 😂
First.
