- First broadcast on 5th May 1991 on the short-lived Channel 4 music show "Friday At The Dome", Massive Attack along with singer Shara Nelson perform a jazz infused version of Lately from their then just released debut album Blue Lines. Afterwards a short interview is conducted between 3D and the show's presenters Dave Fanning and Craig Ferguson. According to comments made during the interview this is Massive Attack's first ever time performing as a live band on TV.
Shara Nelson is one of the most underrated singers ever !!!!
She's wonderful. Pure magic...
também concordo! uma pena
Yeees
This jazzed version is amazing! Both versions are perfect.
How have I never seen this before? And I call myself a fan.
gareth morgan same here
I didn't realize Massive Attack was this old.
the same 🤣🤣
I’m a massive Shara Nelson fan and have never seen this magical live performance before! Thank you for uploading this. I would love Massive Attack to collaborate with Shara Nelson again. Shara is so under rated as an artist, can’t believe she hasn’t released an album since 1995. I collect all the singles and collaborations she does though.
...A stone classic!...Shara Nelson's the real deal!..👍
Love this.. Shara Nelson so soulful...
The best massive attack with Shara
In the 30yrs ive had this album. This is the first time I've heard this..lol
THIS IS MAGIC!!!!!!
Nice to see Craig Ferguson , thanks for posting.
Been following Massive Attack since the beginning of their career....love, love, love....
Wow!! They did such a good job!!! Shara Nelson you are a treasure!!
This is the most 90's thing, thanks for sharing
I'm in love with this.
Nelson's voice was magic here
Shara Nelson! The Queen
I would like to ask those 4 people that don't like it - why??!
How can someone not like this?
Maybe they just love the album version more. Only explanation!
Perfectly fits to my summer depression.
I FOUND GOOOOOLD !!! Thanks, I haven't watch this performance. XD
Really love these people in my sound devices since 2000. Long live folks from COLOMBIA
Old skool retro. much love!
I love it, more jazzy than the studio version thank you.
Only Shara Nelson! ❤️

Gorgeous singer and the song.
Excellent.
🙏
Loveeeeee
Cool, jazzy. Awesome! Hello from Russia. )
Their first ever live performance as a band….wow 😮
Wow! Thank you for uploading this!
fucking brillantisimo!!!
I lived to see that, awesome!!👌🏽🔥🔥🔥
Excellent !
Mellow mellow right on...
Mesmerising
Whoa, this is a really cool performance. This is better than the album cut. I wish they had recorded it in the studio, or at least made a better recording while performing.
I hate when artists have a live band that sounds wildly different and they don't record it and release it in some way.
Also it's interesting how 3D's old "activated the remote and put the BBC on" lyrics showed up here. They didn't make it to record until Protection's Eurochild.
woooo
This version is just as good as the original ❤
Talk to everybody!
❤️
magnifique
sexy jazzy version
Loving Banksy rapping ❤️
❤️❤️❤️ now just get a reunified LOOSE ENDS and I’ll be even happier 😌🤘😘
Great version, better than album, thanks for upload, its the first that we played live perfomance like a band?
excellent post, ta !
These interview questions kinda suck.
One of their members may very well be Banksy.
Indeed
Please no
It's certainly not 3D, 5 minutes of Google search will reveal this. At this point this 'theory' is like a dead horse that's been dead for 200 years and people keep Pocking it
@@frenchguitarguy1091 it's almost like this comment I posted 2 years ago coulda been around the time that was a popular theory. 🤔
@@donjonson9587 sorry I'm not informed of your context when I saw this..
🤘🏽
What the hell was Morrisey doing , is he mad ?
He forgot to interview or acknowledge the rest of the band.
That's been the case for the last 3 decades. Everyone assumes Massive Attack ends with 3D, and because he's the most vocal, eloquent and has the most success outside the band, they assume that he's been the driving force the whole thing when in fact early on for the first two albums Mushroom's creativity was the driving force.
REINSTATE THE ATTACK!
Перший комент українською. Хто мене розуміє, тисніть👍. Now this is my fevorit song. Sorry my english🙄
Craig Ferguson
Great performance; seriously uncool presenters.

Late 80s/90s car crash presenting

Dave Fanning trying to be 'edgy'. What a knob
Weird name for a band that isn't punk or metal
I think it suits them. They have a wild streak to them.
Trip hop
It’s 80’s hip hop lingo, that’s their roots.
