    I've watched a few psychology videos that explain that stalkers like this want to be a force in the streamers life. Positive or negative does not matter to them. They want that attention and they want to be present in their life whatever way they can, which confuses people. It isn't as simple as "oh he really likes her so why is he doing something so horrible?". Quite simply, this sad sack of sh*t so desperately wanted the streamer to think of him, even if that is bad thoughts.

    • @vihmaussivenitaja
      @vihmaussivenitaja Год назад +6

      Yeah, I don't think they are capable of normal empathy and seeing others as humans. The thought process might be that they understand they don't have a chance of "happily ever after" with the target of their obsession, so they might want to punish, at least make a dent - act out in retaliation against the perceived insult to their ego. Kind of like how a severely abusive person treats their family - on some level they understand they are not loved and their family is just scared of them, there's no real respect - so they double down with the terror. It's a power thing. Also, there might be an element of magical thinking, if not downright delusional thinking. Which comes also with some personality disorders, not only more sever disorders like schizophrenia or type I bipolar with psychosis.

      @@vihmaussivenitajaYou're not far off. I majored in psych and I had studied the mentality of serial killers, cult leaders, school shooters, etc. and briefly touched on people who stalk (and eventually murder) people. A part of it can be psychopathic mentally. A lot of it stemmed from behavior disorders like you said. Anti-social personality disorder was very common with people like that. It's very interesting to read how their brains are hardwired much differently compared to the average person.

    • @hevswev8387
      @hevswev8387 Год назад +1

      @jdog167 indeed. And it seems another aspect of it can be delusion. They have this made up scenario in their head that this streamer wants them to prove their love. There was a case recently of an OF model who had a stalker who broke into her house. Its debated on what really went down but it seems as though he elieved they were in a relationship and that she wanted him to do that. So in those cases, it seems like some form of psychosis leading to delusions.

    Man I was slightly Vine famous (maybe 20k followers) back in the day, and I got a stalker. 8 years later and it still scares me. We’re just now getting to trial after he threatened to shoot up a John Mayer show in his words, in the article, “because she (me) doesn’t love me” and then he did show up to the venue and was arrested. Because of John Mayer, not all the years that we reported him for threatening to kill me and finding my home address.
    The police are terrible at dealing with stalkers, it’s almost a hopeless cause unless you become a vigilante.
    I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, which is why I never want to be in the public eye again. I used to want to be a musician, gave that up. Public speaker? Gave that up.
    Too risky. I hope this girl finds safety and peace 💜

    Victims of stalking are so unprotected by the law it is literally a case of "we will only protect you once something physical happens." She only got this man arrested cause he committed arson, not for the stalking. It's just so backwards.
    I have been a victim of stalking way more than I would like to count and it is exhausting trying to protect yourself, creating files of evidence in case this stalker finds you and murders you and knowing the police will not do anything until the stalker shows digital proof they are near you or advancing their efforts, threatens you (i.e, telling you they're gonna murder you cause most of the time police don't care if they say anything else) or the police find you dead.
