I'm on a big trip in China and meet up with Ring for a really cool explore.
    Ring: / ring7ring
Our mission is to explore an abandoned international airport which closed in 2021. I already failed getting inside with Charles because there was too much security.
In the very early morning I manage to get inside with Ring, not knowing what awaits us... A thrilling adventure.

I have been watching you guys for a long time now and I admire all of you, with your determination, effort and time you devote to the abandoned places. It truly is unbelievable that there are so many places either just left empty or abandoned never to see many humans again. The airports must be one of the most interesting, once hustle and bustle of planes arrivals and departures. Now just left. In this video seemed very strange that they were cleaning it with lots of cleaning staff??? Well done as usual

In case you wonder why the city built an international airport to be shutdown less than 40 years later. The Liuting airport wasn't open in 1982 but in 1944. It was built by the Japanese Army during WW2. Commerical operation started in 1982.

    • @jogana6909

Because there is no vacant land around, it can't be expanded.
The cost of running two airports at the same time is huge, so it is better to build a new airport big enough.

Even at my small, local airport with maybe 50 seats and a tiny snack bar, the entrance to the control tower isn't connected to the terminal. You have to go all the way out of the airport and enter through a different area to get there. Basically, even though they touch, it's a different facility.

Yes these types of things should totally be redeveloped. The airport is so not useless, its still quite an amazing structure. Hey weather and radar is likely still active at the site, its also probably a backup runway if for some reason it was needed. Old airports are still airports, lots of technology.

    • @jogana6909
      @jogana6909 3 месяца назад

I think there is a high probability that it will not be put into use again.
Because the new airport is huge. If the passenger flow of the new airport exceeds the design capacity, it may take 50 years.

Man you are brave to do that in China.
This was a great nostalgia trip for me. I used to fly into that airport many times in the past and didn't realise it had closed. One thing I remember about this airport was that it had two security fences around the perimeter and in between the fences there were security dogs (German Shepherds they looked like) that would freely roam around. There were little kennels where the dogs could get some rest in the heat of the day.

That one was a nail biter for sure. I expected you to run into guards around every corner. Too bad you couldn't explore more, but still a good vid!

Thanks! Yes it was a big bummer considering the effort and time I put in this location. Lost 4 days for it. One day I explore this or another airport, but it was an adventure for sure!😎

Man Partner, It sucks to even have to walk to your plane in one of these places, can't imagine how much walking you guys did. I would not attempt something so secure and busy. Please don't get busted : )

Isn't the control tower a separate building from the main airport building? I thought I saw it at the beginning of the video when you showed the outside.

Interesting they had cleaning crews coming in. Maybe there are plans for the property after all.
