    I would advise to
    1.pull the power plug
    2.remove the Antipopcorn attatchment
    3. rotate the burr by hand until you hear the burrs touching
Thats removing the risk of damaging the burrs.

The printed lable is not adjustable on D40+. These numbers are relative.

This doesn't 'adjust' anything. It establishes where the so called Zero Point is. And frankly that ring is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I know that it was a darling of the community that grew in response to the shortcomings of the original DF64 but what it does is so trivial that it has almost no point. Do you know what would have been helpful? A mark on the housing to align the grind adjustment ring with. But 2 seconds with a Sharpie solves that.

Agree. Is there a way, I'm wondering, to adjust the burrs or something else to reset the zero point to straight downwards centered on the spout? Having my little ring point to around 5 o'clock is odd to me and bothers me. Yes, this is a first-world problem...but I paid a lot for this thing.
