The brush worked great for me. Thank you very much. You should include it in the instruction manual. Save people some time and frustration.

Great tip with the brush. It should be at the beginning of the video :)

Yep, my DF64 Gen 2 clogged, I use a brush exactly like that one in the video and in a few seconds it was like new again. 👍

so far I seen more collection at the dosing shoot area, If I don't do RDT it collects about 0.3g of coffee, with RDT only about 0.1g or less. So I think you still need RDT with this grinder. I mean it's a lot better than GEN1 but still need RDT.

I suggest not to use RDT. The moisture is actually making it worse. Simple brushing in the shoot should do the trick.

@@miicoffee With out RDT the coffee gets caught in the dosing shoot area, and doesn't drop into the burr chamber.. happens every time, I tried with and without RDT.

@@rogeryin I haven't seen that issue. To be honest most of time I don't see any retention at all, 18g in and 18g out.

@@miicoffee What exactly is being made worse with WDT? The brew, or the grinder itself? Since the recent paper came out demonstrating the positive effects of WDT on brew quality, I have been WDTing every time. Am I damaging the grinder by doing this?

@@scott29kelly WDT is recommended. It helps in every department.

@miicoffee - I just got one from you several days ago and mine doesn’t have the two screws at the top that you showed in this video.

Yes, the new one has 2 hex screws. I think you can use 1mm Allen wrench. Give it a try and let me know.

@@miicoffee I had just now confirmed that my version’s outer chute plastic cover is secured only with that screw on the front. No two hex screws on my DF64 Gen 2.

This is disappointing, my grinder is less than a month old and the static is out of control. Guess ill give the brush a try. Thanks for the video
