    I'm not a mechanical fan, but Bowmar killed two Cape Buffalo in one day with this head. One was taken @ 100 yards with a compound bow. It did not go far after the shot.

      Just out of South Africa from a famous archery shop back there, I was saying the same thing to the owner of the shop until he told me that he met Bowmar's cameraman who apparently told him that it took Bowmar more than 10 shot on 10 different buffalo before killing one... True or not, we'll never know but it's not the first time that I hear stories like this on Josh Bowmar

      @@alexandrederavel1229 I don't believe in 10 buffalos but it is true that they show only the successful shots. Shooting animals from far distances with a bow, they must failed a lot. Not because of bad shooting but animals can move when they hear the shot. He would never release the videos where Bowmar wounds an animal and they won't find it. And that happens for sure.

    I shot my first beast broadhead at a deer and I don’t think I’ll be using them again.
    I had the first one I used hault on opening and do next to no damage. After looking at the arrow I realized why. The blades rely on a spring and they sit in a channel that if the blade bends causes them to bind. It was cold and raining and I saw the blade was gummed by fat and hide. Most mechanicals rely on the energy from the bow to the arrow to open. These rely on a spring that is a fail point. So just keep that in mind that maybe even if they are dirty or you tweak a blade or your clip a bone there is a chance they will not open as they should because they have a fixed amount of energy by design to open unlike say the reapers and rages I’ve shot where as the arrow passes it will continue to push the blades open.

      @@HuckFTW Umm, yeah. Chuck Adams would measure how many pounds of force it took pushing different broadheads through a piece of leather. The test was only slightly useful because there’s a difference between static energy and dynamic energy. But, since it’s obvious you’re a lot smarter than me, can you explain to me your statement of “measuring POUNDS of force, not FOOT POUNDS of energy”?

    • @HuckFTW
      @HuckFTW 3 месяца назад +1

      @@russelllangworthy8855all I’m saying is force and energy are different. Don’t know who Chuck Adams is, and don’t care.
      Force can be measured directly, and is expressed in the same units as weight, such as pounds, grams, grains, etc. In this video pounds were used.
      Energy is the ability to do work. And work is the product (literally multiplication) of force and displacement. That’s why the unit of energy is FOOT-POUNDS. Because it’s a force (measured in pounds) multiplied by the distance said force was applied (measured in feet).
      In this test, displacement was not measured, so we cannot claim it required XX foot-pounds of energy.
      Comprende?
