For those who don´t know, Michael Starr & Satchel used to be in a VH tribute band, called The Atomic Punks for many years. That´s why they can play most VH songs in their sleep.
yeah, I used to go to all of their shows in Vegas...like 15 years ago. Russ is super cool. I was talking to him after a Steel Panther show and asked if he missed playing VH, when him and Ralph left the Atomic Punks and he said "I don't miss playing 'I'm the One'" LOL
@@hugolafhugolaf Holy crap this show was so cold and windy. Was standing at the front of the stage and if Lexxi stood a certain way, the heater would blow back in my direction. I was like ok, just stand there and don’t move, dude!
He’s having a hard time with that whistle note, but it’s prob cuz he’s been singing his ass off cuz his mixed voice still sounds awesome, just sounds like that higher octave is tired but not damaged! Fukin love these guys
❤❤ for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son whosoever believe in him should not perish Jesus loves the wicked sinner Jesus Christ said the sinner will die in his sin until he comes to except Jesus Christ for his Lord and personal Savior Jesus Christ said he will not see his life
None of the Van Halen tribute band guitarists can hold a candle to Satchel... not one of them. To be clear, that speaks far more to how great Satchel is than saying anything negative about the other players, some of whom are very good... but they're not this guy. And SP is now a band with original music, no longer a VH tribute, so it isn't like Satchel is playing EVH riffs day and night like these VH tribute band guitarists are. And Ralph is equally impressive on vocals... he is DLR circa 1980. Amazing how they can just pull that Van Halen classic out of their tool box and kill it.
@@emerraldsword12 these videos are great! Do you have any more from this show? I was there, up on the balcony. My Instagram is xerosignal. I have a few pics of the show on t1here.
These guys are "Spinal Tap" resurrected from the dead & psyched up on something way stronger than red Bull. They may not know it, but their fans love them way more than the people they work for do. I still have respect for (super talented) Satchel who if you noticed, at least WIPED HIS HAND OFF after failing the fist bump & touching the lead singer's hand. THIS is after the man made fun of the possibility of EVH being in hell. That was too much!!! EVH may well be there. I know I won't be going there. Ask me why.
If people can go -rioting & looting- eh.. I mean "protesting peacefully" during this -pandemic- , then they can propably manage to watch a rock concert.
Nobody covers VH like Steel Panther!!🎸🤘🔥
They do VH justice!
VH covers SP
Some of the hardest working live show musicians around today !

Yeah, he's actually better than David Lee Roth at this point.

David Lee Roth voice isnt the same....due to Cocaine and Alcoholism
Every cover of this song shows how absolutely essential Michael Anthony's vocals were to the VH sound.
Lol
Wish I could upvote this x 100000
Could not agree more.
Yup
Don't forget Sammy Hagars drum play and David Lee Roths violine.
Shit that's a better live version than Van Halen did 🤣
Agreed
eyes closed you'd think it was them live. great job
Fucking spot on. And yes, Mike sounds more like DLR than DLR

Rest well Eddie. You and your big grin are missed.
Damn - gave me the chills -
Great song. Learning this on my guitar.
Q: If Michael Starr had a different pair of pants for every gig, how many pairs of pants would he have? A: More than one pair of pants
Steel Panther should cover gimme some money. Now that would be full circle except for the talent these guys have is over the top!!!
Eddie, Jimi and Tom Schulz who revolutionized guitar effects

I hope he is not running with the devil right now
Sounds like Chris Griffen
I don't think he sounds anything like Chris Griffen lol
They’re back on stage on this year, does this mean They’ll be traveling to Norway?
How come satchel changed his hair anyway?
Different wig I guess.
Is Satchel’s “real” hair at the dry cleaners
He’s definitely runnin with the devil now.
How many people were there?
About 150-200.... Great crowd... Social distanced...
