Hey! Glad this video finally loaded. I've been trying to open it since last night. It' was fun to catch a glimpse of Weston and Trashy. Bella is a good girl, completely loyal to Daniel, and loves to skinny dip while he fishes.

Daniel, you make me jealous when you catch fish and then you cook them. I use to be able to fish for Bass, Crappies, Bluegills, Walleyes, and Northern pike along with Catfish up to about 2008 when my lower back decided it wasn't going to work any longer. Now, I have to rely on Captain D's for fish when I want fish. I love your little Bass pontoon launch that you and Houston use at the pond and I really like your lake boat with floodlights for bowfishing. I had a 17 foot Bass Charger bass boat for 21 years until my son took it home with him. He used it for 2 years and decided it wasn't for him but decided to sell it instead of giving it back to me. Now, at 75, all I can do is watch others enjoy fishing. Keep up the great job of teaching your son and daughter.
Some of my fondest memories are going camping and my dad would catch catfish and cook them out in the open. Yummmm

I bought Harry’s razor blades for my son two years ago, and he shaves his head and put the sides of his beard which is very thick and he was very impressed with how close job it did in shaving, but also the comfort the handle provides as well. When I got out of the Army in 1968 I stopped by Oklahoma to see my uncle. He took me jug fishing and we caught so many catfish and one eel. It was a blast.

UPDATE: I just bought groceries today, and the store didn't even have catfish. I wanted some so bad after watching the Arms family enjoying their meal. I ended up settling for salmon instead.

I have issues with frying - not because of the calorie count or fat content, just because it's so dang expensive to keep buying oil for things. And frying takes SO much oil. So, I tried an air fryer. That bugger is AWESOME! Steak fries come out superb. Catfish nuggets are so good too. Not greasy, but you still get that fried fish taste. If you get a chance, try one of them out.

I remember when I was a kid that we use to go cat/bullhead fishing with a line and hook wrapped around our hand from a bridge ...it was the best time with my grandpa and the with the snapering turtles and I am 66 yrs old now love fishing then and miss it so much...being legally blind cant do it anymore

Quick question? Or word of advice. Turn your filets over when they curl(cup)up so the oil can drain and dip off. 😁 I really love these type videos. This is the kind of fishing I grew up doing. We cut cane poles from the banks of the Cahaba River where we fished & set them out. 20 or so drove up in the bank about 10-12 inches. We’d get down River a ways & hear one slapping the water.

Best thing to catch catfish with is flour dough balls with can corn in it. They love it. Make your dough with 2 or 3 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon baking soda and one teaspoon salt you want your dough about the consistency of play dough then add a can of corn. Drain water off corn. Mix it in then roll out your dough into balls. Let them sit for a little bit to harden up some. Best fish bait for catfish ever. Guys down here catch 60 lb cats or bigger with them😊❤

My grandma and grandpa bought a bunch of night crawlers when we were young and put a board over them so they would pretty much stay in that area. By the time we were old enough to fish, there were plenty every year
👍👍. Finally this video came up today cus this morning it failed on this end. I was drooling for some freshly caught cat fish all day and you finally came through. My uncle retired from Helicopter training center many years ago to have several catfish ponds and creek fishing for folks to visit in Alabama. Days ended with a big fry and of course fresh coleslaw and lots of peach cobbler and ice cream. Got so busy he had to take appointments cus his fish were the best. He died one early morning doing what he loved to do hunched over with pole in hand and a fish on the line. Never missed a morning and a fried fish for breakfast. So thanks for the fond memories. May we all die doing what we love the most. Be nice if Weston joined you one morning for a real challenge. And yes Weston you are photogenic as you got the best part of both your parents. Poor Earl didn’t get muddy today but Bella as always steals the camera as she is your faithful companion Dan. Surprised she didn’t steal that fish from you but hope she got a special treat later. I've always used raw chicken gizzard for my catfish bait here in Central Florida. It's almost fail proof. Never used the weight set up though so I might have to give that a try since this video has given me an itch for some fried catfish. Lol. Keep up the great work. Love the channel.
If you happen to catch any drum or sheephead fillet it take the big back part of it and boil it and saltwater for 7 minutes and your sweat and they make your cocktail sauce and you swear you're eating shrimp

You’d be overloaded in catfish with the ol Danny King original punch bait. I fished with worms, catalpa worms, and everything in between but by far the Danny Kings Original punch bait with a treble hook helped me put more fish in the ice chest when it comes to channel cats and blues! I was taught as a kid fishing with my Gramps to use an egg sinker with a swivel and a 3 ft leader then set drag light enough to hear the drag click. we usee the dropshot rig like you are using in a boat were you can act like your jigging and ketchup is not for catfish
There is noting to beat really fresh fish, whether salt or fresh water. Fresh fish is sweet and great eating. I am envious of your lunch!
