Working Quick To Get A Repo From A POE With Security Guard's - 08/24/2014

- 14 videos so far in the month of August uploaded for you guys. I told you I had a serious backlog of footage to get to and I am spending every free moment I have trying to get as much of it online before the truck is done.
In this episode I am showing a typical repossession on one of our more common vehicles (Chevy Tahoe) that is parked in a secured POE parking lot. For those of you who are new to the channel that stands for Place Of Employment.
I try to avoid picking up vehicles while debtor's are at work because it can cause more harm than good so we use this as a last resort. If they are keeping the vehicle locked in a closed garage or we simply do not have a good address then this ends up being our only option.
So my advice to anyone that may find themselves in a similar situation is communicate with your lender and keep them informed at all times so you don't have to come out of work and find what this guy found... NOTHING but an empty parking spot.
Once I am back behind the wheel f the Repo Ninja I will be back to 24/7 catch up on all the repossession work I have so enjoy the flood of videos while it lasts.
I got repo'd a few years back. It was a really dark time in my life where I was just not handing business the right way. I was extremely reckless and irresponsible. Honestly, I'd thank the gentleman that came to my house to take the car, if I could. I didn't argue with the guy. I knew exactly what was happening. I handed over my keys and asked if I could take my pack of cigarettes out of the car. He allowed me to. I got my shit together and in a few days paid what was owed in back payments. Got the car back. Fast forward, I now own the car and never again missed a payment. On anything. My credit has gone up significantly. I've also quit smoking and drinking. will be 5 months soon.
I'm saying this less to stroke my own ego and more to help any of you out that think what you're dealt is as good as it gets. It's not. You can do better... a lot better.
Thank you for your uplifting comment ☺
Good for you brother keep it up!!!
Good on you sir.
Because of God's provision and your class, honesty, dignity, and self respect you're gonna pull through just fine!

You’re so quick with the lock out it was insane. Literally took you less then 10 seconds to unlock. That’s some serious skills man. Props
Joshua Bowser yea I can do some literally how he just did... but I’ve gotten my ass kicked before too lol
That's why he is in prison now.
Yea i would have a serious problem with someone getting into my car like that.we were working in crystal city va And we used to be up on the 13 th floor and you could see the repo men using slim jims to get into cars stay safe people.

We all cant afford to get a new vehicle each year I would never have payments for a car I buy off private sector people sell cars all the time
Miss this old content. Hope one day you can get back into it and bring us more videos like these classics. The crap thats on youtube these days is either full of language or drama.
I've been working security for 20+ years. I've never felt the need to grief someone for doing their job. Repo men, and Process servers are doing a job. If someone can't afford their vehicle, then they need to be grown ups and give it up.
Even under those circumstances that doesn't give them the right to be super hostile, the repoman is just doing his job and has no control over the finance company.
Hey kid, you think you know what you are talking about, but you don't. If the debtor enters into this type of agreement, then he should know that he can lose it if the business go's bankrupt. Not the finance comp. fault. The debtor made a bad decision. Grow up and get an education.
+teller of truth Too fucking bad, deadbeat. Either pay back the loan or deal with the consequences.
neodecker Good on ya brother. I have also worked security and feel the same way. Sure we have employers that make us trespass other professionals but there are tactful ways to go about it and not lose our jobs or jepardize the security of the property we have been tasked to protect.
A lot of places do not allow for repos to be on their property. I have worked for 3 different security companies at 3 different locations and they all said no repos are to be done on their property at all.
Best way to avoid a repo is to pay your car note.
Or pay upfront with cash
David KE8FZG , On that case ,junk the dammn thing
David KE8FZG what if your payments arrives late, becuase your god damn dad though it was a good idea to get a finance from a bank that on the other side of the country?
Not really an excuse
I mean from what I’ve collected on these videos is you have to go like 6 months without paying to be repoed
cody1212143 not an excuse at all. You still have to deal with the issue like we all would.
Love how he takes his and puts everything in its right place such a professional 👍🏽
I did repo for a very short time about 35 years ago. Old (even then) E H Holmes on a new F350, none of the quick hook-up equipment. There were some real unhappy people and we frequently had a deputy sheriff on hand. That was not a job I would choose to do again.
I appreciate how professional and calm you are

My husband and I love your videos. He's a towing and repo driver here in NY. Keep up the good videos. Stay safe
It amazes my how many old POS vehicles people have financed.
yodabolt What amazes me more is people unable to pay off the loan on said POS vehicles.
+yodabolt dude its got a chrome gas cap... CHROME!
+GANTZ100pts Did you see the front tires on that thing? Bald AF!
Problem is these old ass pos vehicles break down with severe issues shortly after loan agreement and purchase and they ain't paying say 4k to fix a vehicle that ain't worth that much
The reason is because the vehicle gets refinanced several times. A good friend of mine has to pay off $30,000 on a car worth about $10,000 in fact she is currently hiding the car right now because she is worried the repo process is about to start.
Always a good view, Mr Nut. The way you do it adds a professional touch to be this vocation: PC mounted in the cab, multiple video cams, and every piece of equipment shiny and clean. The way the others react adds all the drama and laughs.
Damn son!, this was more intense than the new avengers movie!

Perfect repo. I was a repo man many years ago and it is a tough job. Hats off to this man.
Good job. I did repo work, as well as skip tracing. Love to see your skip tracing team hunt down "credit criminals " you deal with
Great video. I agree I would have popped tranny into neutral and gotten off the X to a safe area. Nonetheless the steps you chose to make were flawless and professional. Great job from a fellow recovery agency.
This channel is way better than those fake repo shows like on TruTv.
My mom has a Yukon XL of this generation. She locked the keys in it at a store and it took me two hours to break into it. I ended up buying a tomato cage and cutting a rod off it and using that to flip the manual switch, while using a thick piece of loose mulch to hold the door frame open.
These were apparently a hot target for thieves, so GM redesigned this generation with overboard anti-theft. When you lock it, it disables the electric buttons if the seat weight sensors don't detect anything, and the door and window frames are redesigned to resist slimjims. I tore up the seals and scratched the piss out of the paint inside the door. It was past closing time for locksmiths around and we couldn't afford them anyway. Store mechanics tried to help break into it until their shifts ended.
The fact that you got into it so quickly is impressive.
Excellent video! Good editing and recording of everything going on! With skills like the ones in this video you might have a reality show one day! Thanks for video!
I'm an educated guy. Businessman (not that it matters) and I must say that I'd need quite a bit of training to learn the ropes of how this gentleman did all that he did to tow this vehicle. I doubt I'd be able to "get it" in one take. Very impressive. I like the calmness he exhibits throughout the job while narrating the whole time. I found myself rooting for him and hoped that security wouldn't come out to cause problems. Great job!!
Hey Steve Douglas! I'm even more educated... I teach sociology at a local college. Mr Repo is a glaring example of the Peter Principle. He's risen to the level of his incompetence. He's good at what he does and can actually do no better. He'll be a good little repo man until he dies - or some debtor kills him! The unwritten law of the jungle.
Steve Douglas you sound like a dumb person using big words to sound smart
I'm the most educated but I forgot what I was about to say...
Yeah, I had to peek at the comments before the video ended. I just knew he was going to get stopped

AKA scumbag loaners.
Many, many people don't have the money for a newer vehicle or to pay a lump sum for one.
Title loan companies....
if I was a repo Man, I would also be a Finance company, just sayin'
I know this is an old video, but I've watched quite a bit of yours. One thing I admire about yours over many other tow drivers is your absolute dedication to safety - always strapping in, taking the time to do it right. That said - sure looks like your not wearing your seat belt in the end of the video....
Great video. I've owned a recovery company for over 20 years and although it didn't show in the video, always make sure that you check the VIN number before you hook the vehicle. Don't ever trust the license number, even if it is on a vehicle that looks to be the same model. Like my business card says, " We put bad debtor's back on their feet."

Thank you for the work you do. Can't imagine how childish some of the things you see are. People, if you are having a car repossessed, don't mess with the man who's job it is to do it. Just be respectful as you should with anyone.
Good job man. When I was younger I was replying with a extended 95F 3 50. 7.3. With a dynamic loader. Everything you said is true!
You can do 10 to 15 different ways. And when it goes downhill it goes definitely downhill or you lose it. Very good video I know it’s eight years old. But I’m having a few beers in 100% agree with you😂🤷🏻♂️ Thank you for the video and I think repossession is going to kick off again pretty soon. I’m thinking about buying a truck. Have a good day man
This is why I only buy what I can afford, cash only! 😅
When ever you ready to purchase property in California, let me know.
ACT1O1 you’ll be waiting a long time
it is ok to buy something with a loan. But you also need to be smart.
1) Dont buy something unless if you lose your job or have other financial problems, you can pay your bills for up to 3 months in advance. That way you have time to at least get some finances together to keep things going.
For me, I got a cheap vehicle first, then a year later I had to buy a new vehicle for my new place of living/job, so I bought a nicer but still low cost vehicle and I worked overtime so that I was able to pay off a quarter of the vehicle with the sale of the old one, and pay off the rest in only 5 months. Now I have reduced my work hours from 70 to 50 (so I can save money and still have a decent life.
But I am changing to a position that pays 20% more than now. A nice jump. My credit card will be completely clean next month with a 6500 credit limit across 2 cards. Meaning I could survive for at least 6 months if needed for rent and bills alone.
I will keep saving money and next year I plan to buy an even nicer vehicle. Selling my current one will allow me to pay around 25% of the new vehicle again. And with my higher pay I will again work hard to keep ahead of the game so I can pay it off in less than a year. (Not working 70 hours anymore lol just 50 hours will do well for the bills)
By the way, if you stay ahead of payments by a few months, then if you have a good bank, especially a credit union, they will let you defer payments without penalty for at least 1-3 months depending on various factors. So it is great to do that, at the very least early on in case something happens later.
Also, if it is a big loan that you think you might take more than 9 months to pay off, dont be afraid to ask to refinance it once you have paid off half. Again, a good bank/credit union will work with you to lower payments, and you still keep a high pay back monthly, but this will help you in case you have problems later. You may want to work really hard for 3 months, pay a ton down on it, refinance, and then relax, working less from then on knowing you are financially secure by keeping your debt payments low.
So to recap
1) Find a credit union, or if necessary, bank that will give you a high credit limit, and work on your credit score per their guidance to keep increasing that. Good for emergency, and cash advances are still lower interest than from any other lending agency, and normal credit charge interest is even far lower. Usually under 15% if you have decent credit. This will help keep you above water in emergencies.
2) Keep cash on hand however you can, enough for 1 months rent on top of your current month, so you have time to breath before even backing up to the card. Learn to sacrifice when you can and dont think bad luck will never happen to you.
3) Refinance when possible and keep debt low, and keep ahead of the payments however you can, even if that means an intense month or more of work, so that you have even more breathing room when needed
It is nice to only buy things with cash, but not everybody is that lucky and waiting many years isnt practical and buying a clunker in the mean time can mess with your sanity. I know that I felt so much better when I was able to get the vehicle that allowed me to handle the higher speeds and hills on top of that, with more confidence and safety and just made riding a joy which helped relieve stress of work. Now I have that joy but less work and it will pay off in the future when I want the next better vehicle.
California is a dog shit place to live.
True and there is a joy in having money to fix your own stuff. I feel bad for anyone who is paying monthly payments and also having to make repairs on something they don't own
That's a quiet engine in your truck, smart...
Branden Hylton Oddly it seems repo people have priorities that oppose each other. You need stealth for least probability of troublesome confrontations, power for heavy loads, which are probably more likely to be from those who would put you on high alert if they come out.

That was nerve racking that must be stressful work!!
This may be a stupid question but why didnt you just hook up the dollies in the rear, wouldnt that have been easier than trying to reposition especially since the wheels are cut and you are going to have to hook up dollies anyway rather than trying to gain entry taking risk of setting off the alarm?
If the company gives you grief EVERY time you go there...that says a lot about the company, like maybe they need to pay their employees.
Two questions. How is it you were able to straighten the steering, why did the steering lock not prevent this?. Second question. If you damage a car during recovery and the finance company sends the car to auction but gets less because of the damage is this on you?
GM steering locks are really weak. You just give the wheel a good yank and it'll free up. Our contract for recovery said we are not responsible in any way for damage. Don't know about how others do it.
Dan R those body style Yukon’s and Chevy Tahoe’s has steering that did not lock
Sorry I have to call BS on that there's no way you can break the pin by yanking hard on the Wheel!
Have you tried? Calling BS usually involves knowledge of it. Also possible you don't have the strength required. Ever try towing a car on its front wheels with the steering only locked by the internal mechanism? There's a reason why we immobilize the steering wheel and leave the column unlocked while towing. They break too easy (especially GM). But in a pinch when doing repo I'd intentionally break it if I had to be able to steer it. Hell I've seen people do it accidentally just by using the locked wheel as a handle while trying to shift into a comfortable position in the seat. They aren't terribly robust mechanisms...but maybe I misspoke, if we're going to details...the mechanism will break, and wheel will be free. As to which part actually decides to break probably depends on a lot of things.
L TR even though he had dollies and could do it the right way without ever going in the car or setting off the alarm you definitely sound educated
Your good with that truck. The good things is péople see so many tows today because of the complexity of new cars.
I also drive a wrecker. I don't Repo,
But i do hook & book at times.
On this truck which does not have lock steering, you only pass the belt through and not fully secure it with a rope out the door so it cant turn anymore? or did you put one on after out of the "hot zone"

Matt the fights in your comment section are entertaining too. I love reading the ones telling you how to do your job. I'll bet you have a lot more years on the job. And like one person said "Matt would not be in business as a owner operator if he was not doing a good job."
On a personal note hang in there with The wife. She is very lucky to have a strong husband and your just as lucky to have her. Your fans are thinking about you two and saying a prayer every night.
Stay safe and stay strong. I wish I could help you more.
peglegvlogs The comment section really does make me laugh a lot. I get a different point of view by reading them. The fights between viewers are interesting to say the least. It's amazing how down right ruthless we will get with our words as a society when we sit behind the anonymity and privacy of a computer screen. Threatening to kill each other over an opinion. REALLY PEOPLE.We can't take back bullets and we cannot take back words. Thank you for the kind words on the other end of it all. I think people view me as a lot stronger than I feel many days. I cry a lot more than anyone will ever know in the privacy of my truck as I drive from here to there and it just sucks to be dragged through a life of watching the one you love tortured on a daily basis by their own body. Shanda is the strong one. I am just along for the ride. I keep my promises in this life cause our word is all we have and I told her I would take care of her until the end. I have shown up at many of repos where the wife has been left with cancer and the cheating husband stopped paying the car and house payment and I've seen the pain that causes and I will never do that to another person in this life.

No, the guy is doing his job. Do not start a car payment that you CAN NOT make. There were plenty of cars that weren’t this, and much cheaper that he could have tried to pursue. Plus this is a gas guzzler, it makes absolutely no sense for someone who can’t make a car payment anyhow, to purchase a car like this. Some people are scumbags, and not all big companies are out to get you. Stfu you fucking bums.
wtf no steering wheel lock?
I was reading through for someone to catch this. I am still wondering how the wheel turned. POS
From what I could find, if the vehicle has an electronic or "chip key" the transmission can't be switched out of park while the computer is off. So there's no risk of the vehicle moving under it's own weight without a steering lock.
Actually, Chevy/GMC suvs are trucks and don't require or come with a steering wheel lock... i have had several and none of them have a steering lock. The computer does not unlock the transmission, a switch on the brake pedal does, and they have no chip in the key either. At least not on models older than 2010. They don't even have the vats system which was in 1993 gm cars.
I tow at a car auction in Jersey. Most Chevys/GMCs suvs dont have a steering lock. I find that the pickups like Sierras and Silverados have steering wheel locks.
I had a 97 suburban it had a locking steering wheel, I had a 2004 suburban, again locking steering wheel. I have a 2004 Silverado pickup, again locking steering wheel. I also have a 2016 Silverado pickup and it has a locking steering wheel, so I'm puzzeled by the comments about Chevrolet and GMC not having locking steering wheels.
Well done for keeping your cool bud. Job well done! Be safe out there!!
God bless all of you.
