Today we are taking a look at some VERY Interesting Rockstar Logic... Regarding How To Swim in GTA Vice City. I mean, we play as a character who takes over cities, gangs, and much more... But he can't swim. What's up with that?! In GTA we can drive through anything... Except invincible hedges. There's some very interesting login in GTA and today we are going to take a look at this.

@@Poopingly but there were hedges that you could pass through in GTA San Andreas (like the ones located on the las venturas strip), so they were capable of making such hedges but chose not to (it was probably much easier and less time consuming to just retexture already made walls rather than creating new ones that weren't solid whenever they needed a completely different hedge (after all, every location in San Andreas that has a non-solid hedge uses the exact same hedge))
Play gta5 an tell me someone wasn't lazy on a good few of them they look exactly like the 1's on the main strip in town

if you really think about it, GTA 5 isnt in 2019 because the days and hours go quicker making it 48 minutes in a day (i googled it) so the years would be ahead of us and that means the construction building has been under construction for like 12 years in gta time :|

You're logic is all wrong. If it has been out for 6 years in real life time, and 48 minutes is one day in GTA time, you must figure it to be 30 GTA days every real life day. Multiply that by (365.25x6) which will net you how many days the game has progressed in-game (for leap year, once every four years) and you get an approximation of 180, after dividing the number of days per year average (365.25) which is the number of years in GTA V since its release.
180 years in GTA V time, 6 years in our time.

Possible explanation for the unfinished office tower: When I was growing up in Toronto, there was a small office building that remained in an unfinished state for many, many years. The developer ran into financial trouble partway through construction and couldn't afford to proceed with the next phase, and was unable to find a buyer to take the project off their hands.
I think that the hedges on number 2 actually has brick walls inside hidden in them. Just my theory.
3:20 the hedges don’t break because there covering a brick wall but some do because they aren’t covering anything
Number 2, it happens in other places too, for example Sweet's car in Grove Street and the Motorcycle outside the trailer in Angel Pine. It's a bit annoying though, and I guess it'd be better if one didn't respawn unless the player abandoned or destroyed the vehicle, so you can't drive up it in and there's another one.
The mile high club is like the I-4 eye sore in Orlando Florida. That nuidling was under construction back in my earliest memories about 15 years ago... Still not finished 😂

John Marston can't swim. Not just at Gta 3 and 4.
It was made for him not to swim BECAUSE of the first game so that it still makes sense in the first game. Arthur can swim though.

They made some strong grass hedges in GTA 4.
in gta iv i'v found two things:
people take many bullets to get neutralized (not even mentioning death)
cars accelerate in a super unrealistically fast rate (from 0kph to 60kph in 2 second on an simple 90s sedan)
You know there's other buildings under construction in GTA V, there's actually quite a few. Mile high club isn't the only one.

I think that its funny in GTA V how you can drive through fences but as soon as you hit the volley ball net on the beach, you're screwed.

They can’t have the construction building done in online because it takes place before story mode and that would effect one of the missions

same thing happens to sweet’s car as with denise’s. also, sweet’s license plate says “GROVE4L” if it’s in pristine condition, but the second it gets damaged, the plate randomizes.
Btw in gta 4 that wasn’t a bush.. it was a wall with leaves on it, you can drive through bushes when you find them...
There are Barber shops nowadays that u can go to with a bald head and clean shaven face and walk out with a beard and whatever kind of hair style you want (afro, dreadlocks, flattop fade, mohawk, cornrows, and etc.)

I remember GTA 3 and those barriers in tunnels. Opened cfg file found that barrier , edited mass and damage received. Was able to destroy it with a car.
Possible Mile High Club explanation: the builders went bankrupt and thus has not had the funding to finish construction.
Driving through a volleyball net in GTA 5 is like driving into a wooden pole
Regarding number 6, they might not exactly be hedges but just overgrown plants surrounding a metal fence, so really it's the fence that's blocking you from driving through

that swimming thing was so annoying, id jump off a little wall and try to land on the boat, and half the times u missed and just died and get to go back over and over

And with the hedges, the one's you can drive through show no damage. The same with tall plants and flowers. You drive through the grass and can leave tire tracks. But nothing happens when you run over the flowers.
The thing with the mile high club is that it's an important part of story mode, granted it's just a mission but still
ONLY in the GTA universe is it possible to plow over a fire hydrant and keep going unabated yet total your car on some hedges.

Here's another one. In GTA San Andreas on the trucking missions if the police hit you hard enough your trailer will have come unhooked
In the vice city part for the swimming your guy actually starts swimming at the end, looks like they just couldn't firgue out swim mechanics so they scraped it
I think the reason why the building hasn't finished Construction is because there is a few missions there

On not being able to swim in GTA3 and Vice City I guess you could argue that trying to swim while carrying 15 weapons and a few thousand kilos worth of ammunition will weigh you down, lol.
Gameplay-wise it just allows them to set barriers to prevent you moving too far.
Nothing beats the GTA V Volleyball Nets of Insane Strength.
The not climbable ladders are the worst! I heard somewhere that they wanted to make them functional, but for some reason (probably lack of animation or whatever), they didn't... I always hated swimming all the way to the shore -.-
The mile high club probably wont be fully constructed ever cuz its meant to be a construction site. It has gang attacks and is used in story mode for several missions

I thought the same thing about the building under construction since 2013 but it's still the same thing .
The Crashes in GTA arent realistically but at the end of the day its just a game and if they had realistic Crashes it would be really frustrating. But it doesnt mean only minimal damage style.
I hope construction on this high club will never finish, one of my favourite sniper spots
In number 6 you said the hedges were immortal but as you see, during impact the particle effects come as a concrete wall and concrete walls give out the same particle effect when collided with. As the hedges aren't hedges at all, they are just heavy leaves scattered around a concrete wall. If you look close enough you will see concrete wall collision particle effect.
The Mile High club could possibly be to fit the role of this building I know here in Florida where I live, cause the Mile High club reminds of this building I know that has been under construction since 2004

Those arent just hedges. The are brick walls that have grown weeds. There are many fences like those. It's a form of outdoor gardening.
The hedges are iron gates with plants growing over them.
We'll just use that.
Can’t swim in liberty city stories
The article about banning motorcycles in LCS was just classic R* being silly. They probably couldn't have them working properly at the time GTA3 was released, but they were available in Vice City just a year later. Since LCS was made on VC's engine, instead of disabling motorcycles they decided to have them available and came up with that article to explain their absence just 3 years later.

The thumbnail reminded me. I think they need to add a buckle seatbelt button. I like that you can be ejected through the windshield its a nice realistic detail, but the randomness of it always comes at the worst time.
Youll crash into 100 cars doing 80mph and nothing happens, but then when youre on a mission or doing something important BANG slightest crash out the window you go. Its honestly enraging. It only seems to happen at the worst time.
You should really be able to buckle your seatbelt to prevent this. Or dont/forget to and risk flying through the windshield

you can actually drive through hedges not only in gta 5 but also in gta san andreas, the hedges that you can drive through from my memory was on the long casino road aka: the main road of the last island's city.
I understand the hedges being solid only because if hedges were not solid that would also be flawed logic as you can't just run or walk through or drive through a hedge like as if it were an open door or gate or whatever which is what would be possible if it were not a solid object and you can't just climb a hedge like a gate or a fence or a wall as it is a plant not a stationary object like a gate/fence/wall
Rockstar Games would need to make a whole new game engine or heavily modify their recent one to be able to allow you to climb a hedge or drive through one like what is possible IRL

The most well known one is the fact that you can actually get longer hair when you get a haircut if you have short hair
