    18. Should've been higher. There were definitely some obscure ones in there. The more obscure ones I knew were Paper Boy and Shadowgate. I was sad that I didn't get Balloon Fight - I definitely recognized the sound as being a black box era game, but just wasn't sure.

    • @QuizQuestGaming

You achieved a solid score of 18 out of 30! While some of the titles were indeed obscure, your recognition of Paper Boy and Shadowgate showcases your gaming expertise. It's understandable to feel disappointed about missing Balloon Fight, but your ability to identify its era is impressive nonetheless. Thank you for participating in our NES quiz and sharing your thoughts on your experience!

Nintendo didn’t invent 3rd party developers actually. As far as I know, Activision was the first 3rd party developer for a home console. A group of developers left Atari unsatisfied with pay and conditions, and just kept making games for the 2600.
However, Nintendo was, I think, the first to charge licensing fees for 3rd parties, since their security chip was effective at stopping most developers from creating games without their permission. That said, in Japan, they had already brought on 3rd parties developers (where that version of the console lacked the same security) to great success there. That helped with having a solid library of games ready to go upon the North American release.

Well, I didn't do so bad. I got 18 out of 30...but of course, the ones I didn't know were based on games I never played, which makes sense. But even so, I listen to a lot of old school video game music, and a lot of these tunes unfamiliar to me were really good...surprised I didn't know of them until now. I tried to do something like this on my channel but failed miserably lol...except mine was regarding music playing in the background of certain other videos from my channel.
Anyway, I enjoyed this, thanks. :)

18/30 - though depending on how generous you are, could be 19. (I misidentified Dragon Warrior IV as II.) Others I could tell was by a certain maker (Konami in particular) but misidentified the game.

Confused #18 for #26's, and while I got the correct series for #16, it was the wrong game in the series so I did not count that. And for the first ten, I was getting all the even numbered ones correct until #11 and then it was anyone's guess.

Without a doubt, the NES was a game-changer for the gaming industry. Before its time, the market was saturated with low-quality games that often left players feeling let down. But then came the NES, breathing new life into gaming. One of its most significant contributions was introducing licensed third-party games, which revolutionized quality control. This move raised the bar for game developers, ensuring that gamers got their hands on better, more enjoyable experiences. The NES didn't just revive gaming-it set a standard that still influences the industry today.
