It's less breathing in general tbh. The idea of good breath control is breathing in minimally and exhaling said breath as slowly, powerfully and controlled as possible. Diaphragmatic support is key!
Circular breathing is a wind instrument technique used to achieve an uninterrupted flow of air and tone that surpasses the capability of a musician's lung capacity. Musicians execute this technique by using air stored in their mouth to produce sound from an instrument while simultaneously inhaling air into the lungs through the nose. Once the air stored in the musician's mouth runs out and their lung capacity is restored, they must seamlessly switch back to exhaling from their lungs through their mouth to maintain a continuous, uninterrupted tone. This technique is not applicable to vocalists, as their tone is produced within the throat rather than through the use of an external instrument.

That “Theeee~” is powerful, did he do circular breathing or something?
As it requires a closed area to hold the air in that doesn't work. It's just sheer lung volume and training probably~

Holy cow ! What did I just see ? That was F'n fantastic ! He has got some serious breath control to go with that singing voice. Really well done.
Can we talk about the main background puppet lady’s vocals?? Damn!!
Just here to say that I truly TRULY adore this performance. It is so amazing to see a Highschool production shine so bright! I love this! I applaud everyone involved.
Is it wrong of me to say that I love this even more than the Broadway versions? 😭
Aw I wish she did something bigger with her life she is really talented
That ending!!!! This was incredible! My jaw cannot leave the floor! 😱
Props to whoever directed this😊
This is truly amazing, more people need to see this!
Coming from somebody that's been in various acting troupes for 25 years, well past school and college, this is amazing! And the girl that plays Roxy... You have a long and amazing acting career ahead of you! Keep it up!
Obsessed with this performance they did amazing and honestly I didn't think much of it when I saw it in my recommendations but I've been watching this on a loop for an hour now it's so good! Even to the messed up tie, I have no idea if that was intentional but it made the performance better and there's Roxie just amazing acting up to her movements are very puppet like. And that kid's voice is insane even though the production is for a high school and probably just prepared by high schoolers, this is my favorite performance of this. I definitely agree with the title, I even prefer this than the movie one.
Incredible talent-perfect Roxy and Billy Flynn. Great voices, acting and dancing-wow!!!
Easily the best performance ever and I've watched almost all of them. I come back to this
about once a month to watch this brilliant performance.
This is a HIGH SCHOOL?! What a showstopper!!!
Few tag lines on RUclips such as “best …….. ever” truly live up to the hype. This one absolutely did! Wonderful performance!
How this could be HIGHSCHOOL MUSICAL? This would surpass most university level musicals
This is SPECTACULAR. This is professional level shit.
It almost sounds like it’s dubbed its so good
i love chicago so much and i often pause at this song and turn to this video. excellent performance!
Wow! Spectacular.
This is actually so good I couldn't even sing along with it because my jaw was hanging open and I was smiling so hard! And this song is really really hard not to sing!
Soooo good! 10/10 will watch many many more times! ❤😊
Having played Billy many times and directed High School Productions of Chicago. This was an adorable version. Great job!
