How did you get the battery out? I am looking for anything holding it in, but nothing is there.

Hey Bud, I have a 2002 Indian Roadmaster and Im having the issue of the spinning when I try to start the bike. Do you know if the 2002 Roadmaster is the same starter as your 2001? How do you know if the starter or the starter clutch is going out? Hope you can help me out. Where did you order your parts from? Thanks, Roger

Hey brother, the O2 modals have a different motor then the O1,but it sounds like the same problem, the starter clutch. I got my parts from J&P cycles, you can call them and they will help you find the one you need, mine was actually for a harley and it was cheaper then the indian part.

Ok, thanks for replying. Im goiing to take mine apart and hopefully get it going again. Its hard finding parts for a 2002. Safe riding brother.
