Pulled the new NH843 apart and sure enough that gasket was not cut out. Guess they are still shipping like this. I have the 372xp and 395xp clones and now wonder if they are like this too
❤, I like a light nimble saw if i am using it all day , I want one of those for fire wood , but it seems they all spit the wrist pin bearings out eventually, did they ever get that fixed ? Or is there another fix for it ?
Im guessing there’s still current patents on Husqvarna’s stratification system and “not using it” was the cheapest workaround. I could be way off, what do you think?
@@rgtwergf they did this on purpose. Legally they can’t make profits on the technology Husqvarna has current patents on. The cheapest way to circumvent this is cover up the “XTorq” feature.
I bought the NeoTec NCS6200 (Kenosha clone I think) and have only used it for about 2 hours in total, once last winter, then this week [Jan 2025) and it just won’t continue to run after doing ok for like 10 minutes. It just refuses to start once it gets warmed up or hot. I let it sit overnight and ran it again a day later and same issue. Runs ok, then seems to struggle and bog down when throttled (and not cutting wood) so I turn it off for say 5-10 minutes then try to restart (with no choke) and it just will.. not.. start. I’m so frustrated. I feel like I bought a piece of crap. Im using unleaded 86 octane gas with Lucas 2-stroke oil at 25:1. Any suggestions? Anyone??
@@IndianaDoug Thanks man! I'm going to try to restart and tune the carb, but it seemed fine otherwise until heated up so I'll definitely look into the coil.
Good fix Doug, but I thought the carb would have to have a second 'fresh air' throttle body and butterfly valve to take advantage of your modification?
Great video. I just ordered one to backup my real Husky 550XP. Are these gaskets still blocked or did they fix the issues? I'd love to see other mods for this saw. Have you inspected the muffler yet? Are there any gains to be had?
@@IndianaDoug I just rec'd my saw and performed the intake gasket mod - thanks again! This is a pretty impressive little saw. Feels almost as light and nimble as 30-35cc class saws but with a lot more performance. Overall build and quality of materials looks commensurate with OEM. Looking forward to break in. Combined with a 50 or 65 cc saw, this could be a marriage made in heaven.
P.S. Don't bother removing the muffler. It's basically just an open can and I can't see where there would be any gains from a muffler mod. In fact mine didn't even come with a spark arrester.
I have a NH872 and a NH395. Both are good out of the box so ordered this on for limbing. Came with no air filter, cord broke 1st pull and it leaks bar oil. Easy fix but disappointed
Happens. Customer service was weird, though. First email I sent the response was in Chinese. I wanted a $4 filter and I think they are sending me a new saw for some reason.
Ive been searching through your videos, dang there is a lot of them! I just picked up on of these MH843s and would like to attempt porting it. I think you referred to a video in one of your posts, that made me thik you broke that process down. I haven't came across it yet. Id sure like to play with this saw and get a ripper out of it, but i was hoping to gain some youtube phd's fory confidence in tearing it down. Any advise?
Mr. Doug, more than a fix, most excellent information, well presented and demonstrated...
Just bought this saw a week ago, did this little mod and damn Im so impressed with this great little cheap saw that cuts fantastic
They do really well.
Awesome job. Dougie you have became Mr. Fixit
Impressive Doug, great info! Nice one! Thanks for all you do!

No others are like this so far.
Excellent repair and demonstration.
Many thanks!

Haven't tried that, just adjusted carb. Thanx
Never seen an issue like that on a chainsaw with a gasket not having that cutout good video Doug 👍

@@IndianaDoug I think it was kind of odd to block the airflow like that though
Very odd. I also find it odd that the saw worked ok-ish before the mod. 😆
Does this flaw still exist in those? I dont get it why t f they dont fix that problem, i mean its huge difference in power!!!!!! @@IndianaDoug

Wonder if the 6200 has any issues like that
Great job, thanks for sharing
I'm wondering if they are all like that.. I got a 6200.
No just the 843
Good stuff Doug!
it make me so happy your video’s i love it so much to see wonderful beautiful video
👍interesting to say the least.

That is the symptoms of a coil going bad. I’d lay money on it.
Before you buy a new coil, you can check the gas vent, that is about the only other thing it could be if it’s tuned well.

I appreciate ya. Your profile name is hilarious 😂
GOOD TO KNOW,THANK YOU. I WONDER IF THEIR 12 INCH SAW IS SET UP LIKE THIS
Nice fix Indiana Doug!
Good fix Doug, but I thought the carb would have to have a second 'fresh air' throttle body and butterfly valve to take advantage of your modification?
You’d think. The carb doesn’t separate air , the intake boot does. It’s a weird design
Good job Doug!
That’s wild. Can’t believe they’d do that to get around a patent.
Rock that saw brother!

Yes they come blocked. Runs way better after mod

Interesting. The only issue I’ve heard of these are the carbs sometimes giving up.

Charles Brisco ported mine. But if you want a decent gain, delete the gasket and give it a healthy muffler mod.
Very interesting stuff
random: what wind chimes do you have? I could listen to that all day long
I got them at a funeral, they mean a lot to me. Thanks.
Dude that's crazy !
lazy
On the original 543 xp it has a sticker that says Husqvarna zenoah corp.
thanks
👍 bagus 👍
Thank God mom don't have one like that, she'd be out trying to cut up down trees!
I’ll sue you that saw is my property 😂
I told neotech not to sell those till I work out the problems
Strato ports blocked
Yes, exactly.
@@IndianaDougCan you describe the difference in running, please? Did the torque grow?
@@RealMopedRumblePack yes, the power increases. More air, more power. It will run without this mod, but it runs too rich.
I almost bought one.
oops
Thank you
They’re good little saws
@@IndianaDoug it is nice to see the fixes required.
waiting to see what else might be discovered (?)
they will fix those things.
looks like a daihuo engine.
If u bought a noker you would be cutting not fixing

Dose the NH865 have this same problem?
No
