The decompression button is a magic button that makes the saw soooo much easier to pull the cord to start the saw. The real info about that decompression button is that it let's air into the cylinder so the saw doesn't pull the cord handle out of your hands due to the high compression of the saw. In other words it makes it much easier to pull the starter pull start. I would highly recommend you take a little time and learn about your saw. Because I doubt you getting as much power out of it as it is capable of producing. Your saw is a beast of a saw that will cut like crazy when tuned right with a sharp chain, hard wood or soft wood. Unless you are cutting giant redwood trees, the saw this is modeled will have no issues cutting through any thing else. I have the smaller ns872. It's a 72cc saw. If it is running right it should cut through any tree that 56" inches in diameter with the max bar they recommend being a 28inch bar. Your saw is a 20cc bigger saw. I'm not sure what maximum bar length that monster can handle. But it will cut down a tree with no issues twice your bar length. Of course that's with a sharp chain and tuned right. Sorry for running on an on. But I think you will be quite happy with the power of your new saw. Keep the chain sharp and the saw in good running order and it will cut down most any tree out there both fast and efficiently. I wish you the best luck with your monster saw, a clone of the mighty Stihl ms660-ms661. 😎👍
Those cheap Chinese saws are awesome for the money. The biggest thing with those saws is the decompression valves leak a lot even on genuine stihl saws so a lot of people will put plugs instead. It is harder to start but as long as you can safely drop start it like you would an old classic saw it still starts easy enough
Great saws for the occasional user and/or the person who doesn't mind or enjoys working out the minor issues👍🏻 it's definitely rich on the high jet and a tad lean on the low. I'd say you could safely turn the high screw in ⅛turn and the low ⅛turn out.

Downside to clone saws is that because they're cheap people will tend to buy more saw than they really need. If you run it day after day you will end up buying a lighter saw in the end.

If they offered a heated handle and spark arrestor option that would be great!
My wife has one of those decompression buttons. I don't know how it works but she seems to like it when I use it.

I'm surprised you haven't decided to try and build a budget sawmill.
