What a great video! Great binding idea on the corners. Thank you, Laura...for the great ideas you always share....I so enjoy all your videos! Stay well....
This is nice 👍 , great for house warming gifts and for Christmas. It’s so frustrating shopping online . I have to wait another 2 weeks to shop in person. You’re great teacher ! You let us know why we should buy the right fabric. That’s what a great teacher does ....so we learn about fabrics and batting etc. I am glad I subscribed. I am binge watching your videos ...lol . My hobby wants dinner and I am learning to sew ...lol . Thanks 🙏🏻 for posting. I am enjoying making practical gifts ....something my family and friends can’t buy in stores.
I made them for holidays and I used insul-bright batting heat resistant from amazon. I cut up my old denim shower curtain and some chicken fabric for the pockets. Thanks for sharing
Laura, you are an amazing seamstress!!! I love your videos!!! This one just popped up and I am going do one. Thank you for sharing your ideas and teaching for both novice sewers and experienced sewers. 😍😊
Thanks Laura, I really enjoy your videos. I listen to a podcast last week of you being interviewed about your sewing career. Sons wouldn’t help so you figured out yourself. Made my walk sooo enjoyable. I’m going to make these while stuck in the house. Namestae 🙏🏻 and looking forward to getting your book.
Thanks Miss Laura , this nifty mitt will keep our inner arms from getting burned..I have the same dot fabric in my stash and coordinated fabric that i am making a dress with. Matching potholders would make the perfect set to give as a gift to give when we all celebrate the end of the (u-know-what).WHOO HOO! What a party.Love ya
Love this idea! Even though our bazaar got postponed, it gives me more time to make a few of these! Your videos are ALWAYS SEW informative. Thank you for making them!
thank you Laura just what l needed. I love all your ideas you are just wonderful! Thanks to a previous video of yours have been using the soap for a long time and it's great (even on lighter fabrics). Just made one this afternoon (my machine did not like all the layers but switched to a leather needle and it was fine - hope that helps someone who may have trouble with their machine).
Shame you didn't show us when sewing them specially the zigzag edges; it's always good to see. However, what a beautiful piece that you did! Marvellous!
Jacqui l love the soap! Have been using soap for a long time thanks to Laura (previous video) and l find that it shows up enough even on lighter fabrics, give it a try :)
SewVeryEasy So two layers of batting with the Insul-Bright insulated batting or just one layer of batting and one of insulated batting? Thank you for the tutorial! Love it!
hello Laura please kindly tell us when are you going to film the requested video of the no slip sewing machine foot pedal holder being used in action any idea when you are going to film it? Please kindly reply back ok?thank you very much
This was the simplest video for a double pot holder I have found. Thank you

Thank you for sharing that tip, you are right I have your needle might be needed.
What a neat binding finish for those corners, thanks for sharing this tip. I'm sure I will store this in my bag of tricks! Ha.
Thanks Laura, love the side binding idea. Great gift idea
Thank you for the easy projects. I am already working on next year’s Christmas presents and added this to the list
Thanks Laura I all ways Enjoyed all of your videos thanks for sharing this wanted to make oven mittens any way so I well get stared on this .
I love your videos ♥️ Thank you. The cheery fabric makes my day.
Turned out beautiful
I would use a layer of the insulbrite, perhaps with ONE layer of batting. REally good idea -- love the corner binding treatment.
Love your tutorials Laura.
Shame you didn't show us when sewing them specially the zigzag edges; it's always good to see. However, what a beautiful piece that you did! Marvellous!
Thank you. Awesome housewarming gift. BJ
I love it. Thank you Laura!
The fabrics you used are so pretty! It should be 80% cotton and 20% polyester for the batting is good to know! Thanks
Wow that's a really good idea. Love the fabric 😍💖
Amazing tutorial..thanks for sharing
Sew very pretty. Just what I need to cover that nasty oven window. 💜🌞🌵
Very nice fabrics.
Wouldn't this make fabulous pockets that wrap over a walker? Add a couple ties on the sides and boom; front & back pockets to carry needed items!
I was thinking the same thing.
Thank you so much. I can’t wait to make for gift giving. Wonderful instructions!
Boy!..I like that..thankyou so much!🌻🐝

Now this one makes me smile😁😁thank you
Oh wow! Beautiful!
Perfect timing. I need some new hot pads and mit.
Genius! And the soap idea, who would’ve thought! Guess you can only use it on dark fabrics huh?
Jacqui l love the soap! Have been using soap for a long time thanks to Laura (previous video) and l find that it shows up enough even on lighter fabrics, give it a try :)
Thank you 😊
I love this! Thank you!
Awesome ideal love it.
Fantastic!!!
Can I use insul bright? if so, how much cotton batting can I use with it?
Would a Teflon insert help with this .
Very cool! I’ve got the time, so I’ll be at my machine!
Wow, I wish I had seen this before I sewed some a year ago.
I have no cotton batting - and no chance of buying any at the moment, can I not use polyester?
Polyester melts with high heat
Could you use wool batting?
I have not tried wool batting, if you do be sure to let me know how it works out for you. If you have some scraps it would be worth a try
Another wonderful project. Laura, can we use heat bond with the silver on it or only batting ??
Yes that would be great, however I still would use two layers as a minimum
SewVeryEasy thank you. This is a great project and I’ll put it PNC my list !! Stay well.
SewVeryEasy So two layers of batting with the Insul-Bright insulated batting or just one layer of batting and one of insulated batting?
Thank you for the tutorial! Love it!
As I have not tested it I'm really not too sure. Hold a couple of layers together and see how it feels and let me know 😊
Maryann Faulkner I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for asking. Must be a Maryann (Marianne) thing. 😊
