They can make a 30 min video last 60 min. This particular video I searched for the subject and went down the list to find the shortest in time. Yours happen to be one of them and I do not feel as if there is anything missing because its a shorter video. Its just the info I need and nothing more, so thank you!!!! Oh my goodness, that is beautiful. I love the way you do your bias binding. I am scared of bias binding * and zips * but you have shown me a way now, that I think I can do too.
I will be definitely making a few of these for Christmas gifts. I will be using different fabrics for different people. Maybe even Cat fabric for my best friend and dog fabric for my neighbor,
I want to make some with bee and farmhouse fabrics. I bought one at a farmers market and love it! Got a sewing machine for Christmas and finishing up my 1st quilt with the help of your videos! I need to buy some bias now.

I used one of my homemade oven gloves the other day that only had one layer and nearly burned my hand. I think the pattern that came with insulbright said to use batting, too. Just fair warning to anyone interested in making this.

Yes, Stacy. The Insul-Bright pattern recommends “at least one layer of cotton batting … to absorb condensation “. From personal experience, I will be using Insul Bright plus 2 layers. If I’m baking at 450, I want adequate protection. Can’t wait to try this. Thanks again.
I use a piece of painter’s/masking tape to quilt…. It’s 1 inch wide and you can sew down the side of it, and move to the next place easily to keep your lines straight and sew faster
Hi Stacey this Bea. I would like to make this oven mitt. What happens if I don’t have the spacing bar...do I hand measure slanted lines using a ruler 1/2 spacing? I just purchased Singer Patchwork sewing machine. I might have a spacer and just don’t know what it looks like. Thanks
3.99 a metre lucky you.. I bought a metre last week and it was 21$ a metre. Of course I live in Australia and the postage and dollar difference is killing us.

It's pretty standard size of 7/8" double bias binding 😊

Hi, no you don’t. You don’t need to touch the feed dogs unless you are free motion quilting.

Hi, yes that’s what you would do, use chalk or washable marker. Do a google search on what it looks like in case you do have. They are very handy 😊
