Ryan will get it fixed and be back out better than ever! 💪🏻💪🏻🗣🗣
Justin, you may can answer this batter than most others since you deal with these cars daily. It’s not uncommon for there to be at least a couple under hood fires each season which sometimes is just a flash fire and is extinguished in seconds and doesn’t cause major damage to the drivetrain but does damage the electrical components, mainly the wiring. Which unfortunately takes a bit of time to get repaired and many times means the end of the weekend for the car and sometimes the following weekend.
When wiring these cars, could they be wired in such a way that you utilize some of the methods we use on our military aircraft where you have your under hood harness or harnesses and they run to a cannon plug that could be mounted on the firewall where you could have a spare engine harness in the trailer and literally change out all of your under hood wiring in 10-15 minutes and do the same for the cockpit wiring.
Essentially, your just taking the full wiring harness and putting a secure time tested and proven splice or junction in it to facilitate quick and easy repairs and trouble shooting. These plugs are really heavy duty and are threaded together and locked then you can secure them with lock wire as well if you choose. I’m sure you’ve seen something like this out here somewhere.
It just seems like there’s got to be a quicker repair for when the electrical gets damaged and I was a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force for ten years and was trying to dig into my bag of experience to see if something could cross over and really help you guys when you have an incident that doesn’t hurt your drivetrain but melted some wiring and instead of missing the next race in an hour you just unscrew a couple cannon plugs, disconnect your sensors, unplug the harness and reinstall the new one and your ready for the next race again.
Anyhows, just a thought man! Good luck to ya this season!! We love ya all and want all of ya to be safe brother!! Take care man!!
Hanging on them nuts lmao
Same issue you had, it looks like? Why aren't the burst panels taking care of this instead of blowing an entire intake off?
@@capnvariance too much fuel in the cylinder to aid burst panel.
Just glad the firewall did not hit he face and that he can walk away from this cars parts can be replaced but lives can't be safe out there swanstrom and ryan
Even in hard times, Ryan is still a class act, legitimately nicest man out there
Moments like this show the depth of Ryan’s character. He’s the same guy after his car blew up that he is in on a good day. A lot of guys would be pissed and howling at the moon, but not Ryan - he’s just as calm and collected as he is after gapping someone with their best tune up in. I respect this kinda humility... Hopefully someday I’ll get there.
Who you are in defeat says far more about you than who you are in victory. As you say Ryan is a class act, and is why he is hands down my favorite SO racer, and the only one I am subscribed to.
I know the feeling! Deff looked like a hot tune! Get it fixed an see ya at the next one 💪🏻💪🏻❤️🔥
Justin do you think tech should be requiring more firewall protection for this matter?
Justin… how big is it 👀
@@caseymckinney903 It would not be a bad idea at how fast these car are getting they are going to have to be carful to keep these guys from getting hurt and no one wants too see that!
What’s up Justin
First thing I noticed was that your visor was up. You’re extremely lucky Ryan. Javi this should be the last thing you do before wishing Ryan good luck… slap that visor down 😎
Visors are for wimps....just ask JJ the Loss😲
You don’t gotta do this just to prove/ show how you got the fireball Camaro name! Fire is some seriously scary shit so glad you’re good and can’t wait to see y’all kicking ass, hurting feelings, and winning races again!!! Much love from Greenville, SC. 🏎💨🔥
Hi Ryan, absolutely love you racing, stay safe and keep doing this, fan from South Africa
Glad you're OK!! You guys run a good program and have great vendor relationships.... With SuperJavi in your corner, this will turn around just fine.
As Babe once said, "It is hard to beat a man that never gives up." Good luck on the rebuild.
brought new meaning to fireball camaro.. so glad you're alright Ryan... great job on your safe emergency exit execution.. 👏 👍
You guys are all hard core competitors, but it's great to see all the support and concern when bad things happen. ❤
So glad to see you wasn’t injured! JJ Da Boss is a good example of closing the face shield. He got real lucky.
Damn damn daaaaamn!!!! Hate this happened to The Fireball Team...they will come back stronger tho...A great Fan from Atlanta!
Glad you're ok Ryan. Good luck getting the car back together.
You still got nice things… They’re just not where you left them. On behalf of all your friends and fans, we cannot wait to see you back on the track very soon!
They need to start making it mandatory to put blower straps on these cars. That intake could have fell on somebody's head and killed them. Blower straps like the Top Fuel guys use to keep the blower from flying out of the car. They also need to clear out the staging Lanes. One day somebody's going to get ran over.
@@davidrogers5219 what use is a blower strap on a Procharged car? It can't launch like a Top Fuel blower, so no need to be an alarmist, or be calling for regulation changes that won't do diddly squat. If the burst panel had done its job the manifold would have never been an issue. And before you start saying that the manifold needs a strap, what about the piping? You would need a strap on everything. Besides what that composite manifold weighs would only be a fraction of what a 14.71 blower weighs. And finally drag racing is dangerous, it says it there right on the ticket. Don't want to take that 1 in a 1,000,000 chance watch it from the safety of your TV.
Thanks for taking the time to clear everything up. Good to see you're ok 👍
Rayn Martin always demonstrates true sportsmanship......
It breaks my heart seeing his car, that car, in that condition!!!! Love what you guys do and how you do it! Goodluck team fireball
Wow so glad your ok, that slow motion footage was nuts. thank you and all your family / team for all y'all do.
Loved meeting you at Tucson Arizona NPK last year. Hopefully you'll get it fixed in time. But you also have the greatest backup car anyone can have. Go get them Ryan
Glad everyone is okay. Thank you for the video. Awsome for you guys to share 💪💪
Love how everybody was truly caring and was checking on the car and Ryan That's good sportsmanship and fellowship there
Wow!!! Couldn't imagine that happening goin that fast, and this dude barely flinched! Way to go. So glad your ok, team fireball will be back, 3PEAT!!!!!!
Super glad your OK and I know you'll come back stronger than ever but this was so sad to see best of luck and looking forward to a speedy repair I'm just so thankful that you didn't get hurt. God bless you all and as always be safe 👍
These events wouldn’t be the same without you & your crew. So glad your ok aside from the dent in your pocket. So many look up to you Ryan for your persistence & dedication, not to mention a decent bloke. On ya matey !!!
Best wishes from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺
For real For real Ryan. You are ok and didn't get hurt. You was able to walk away and hold your son shortly after.Thats a Big Win under any circumstances.#keepGrinding
The important thing is that your ok Ryan!!! The rest of it is just a pile of nuts and bolts, plastic and metal and one hellacious engine!! All of that can be replicated and repaired and put back to that prerace championship car you had. You’ve got the right team in place with Javi at the helm and you’ve got the worlds best vendors, builders, and suppliers behind you to get it back to prerace condition probably faster than anyone else out there can do!! You have so many prayers floating around you right now Ryan that I’m surprised the camera can even see you, lol
But seriously, we are all glad your ok brother!! This had the ingredients to be really, really bad!! I don’t need to tell you any of this tho, you know it better than anyone. We love you and support you and thank you for saying your gonna do better personally with your safety equipment cause it won’t help you after the explosion! You do outstanding always wearing your suit, gloves, helmet, neck restraint, boots, etc but the visor is an easy one to overlook and I know it’s not that comfortable in these hot days coming up but it’s only for a couple minutes versus a lifetime of scaring or worse. Could you please start talking about wearing your safety equipment more in your videos please Ryan. There’s a lot of these younger racers just starting out that have the wrong attitudes about it and act like they are being punished by having to wear it and are not wearing gloves or visors. I made a comment after your incident to remind them to wear their safety gear and Igor chastised by everyone and told that since their cars were not on the same level as yours that I was an idiot and didn’t know what I was talking about but they are all running alcohol and still going 140-150mph 1/8th and to me that’s a huge risk area!! But maybe if these guys hear it from you and the other outlaws on your RUclips channels, then maybe we can save someone from being hurt Ryan. Will you please help with this? Maybe film a 15-20 second clip about wearing ALL your safety gear and use it as an outro on all your videos. You reach so many of these guys Ryan and now having lived thru a couple close calls, without a scratch praise God, maybe we can get some of them to follow your examples!!
I’m sorry this is so long but it’s a worthy topic that needs to have attention!! But thank the Lord you are safe again and the car will be soon again as well!! Thank you for everything your doing for us and racing, your an incredible man Ryan!!
Take care and be safe out there!!
Excellent video with valuable lessons. Best of luck as you continue..
It is so awesome to see him holding the kid right after they got back to the pit!!!, Ryan is 100% the greatest weather it comes to racing or just in general he kicks ass and takes names all in the middle of making a great family and life!!!!
Wow, it looked like you got hit by lightning. It happened so fast. Glad you are safe, and that the car is fixable. Look forward to seeing you kicking ass and taking names again really soon. Thanks for the updates.
So true,Ryan is a class act,& he pays the price to go Fast, he's always very humble, especially after there are so many that don't want to see him win,he has my respect,👍🙏🙏🏁🏁
Cars can be replaced, you can't be. Glad that you made it out safe.
🔥 *Hey hold on isn’t this “The FireBall”*
Glad ur alright Ryan. You guys will get it fixed. Good luck guys. Love ya all.
Good luck Ryan and Team...
Looking forward to the next race guys...✌✌
Just glad you didn't get hurt and we know you will build it back quickly and probably better than it was keep up the good work You're a class act never getting shook up and just want a heck of a guy one heck of a team
Glad Ryan is ok! To have the stones and concentration to keep that thing gathered up on the big end like that was a real piece of driving! Hats off sir!!
Glad too see you're OK 🙏🙏🙏
Gotta hand it to you man you are the most level headed guy I have ever seen. You keep your cool pretty much no matter what. I love that you don't cuss a lot and throw big fits. Kids worship you and it's great to have your attitude. I wish there were more like you around man! Sorry you had issues but it comes with the territory sometimes. Be safe brother we need you around!!
Just watching this now. Man that sure socks. Glad you are ok. Do what you have tondo and get back out there. Looking forward to seeing you and everyone at Norwalk.
Glad Ryan’s ok
Glad you're safe! I know you'll have the Fireball back soon! Stay safe bro! 🙏🤙🏾
Great video! Glad your ok. Stay safe out there!
The most important thing is.. your fine.
Cars can be fixed and replaced but your life can’t be.. we know you’ll get it back together and keep kicking ass💪 best of luck to you and your team. Look forward to seeing more from you.
Smooth is fast , and you did a smooth , flawless exit from the car shows experience your one to watch and learn from for sure glad your good
You've had a great run of things going your way with the car really years without any major issues . It happens to everyone. You will recover and have another great run again. Just a little set back you'll be back to 100% and kicking everyone's ass again. The other guys are always trying to live up to the standards you set and keep up. Nothing will change they'll keep chasing and you'll keep leading.👊👊
That sucks Ryan .. you will be back stronger then ever ..
3 cheers for the fire safety equipment! Glad Ryan is ok. Keep on keeping on fellas!
Glad you are ok, sorry about the damage to the car.
Best of luck to you in the future!
Glad your good buddy!! You guys will get it back going!
Thanks for the video! Interesting to see what all happened, and hope you make it to Roxboro, NC this weekend.
Puts a whole new meaning to fireball but I’m glad he is ok that’s the main thing.
I am so thankful that you are OK. This is something I would not want on my enemies. We are praying for you Ryan. God bless you and keep you safe. You are not only a great racer you are an A1 class act. Be safe and go kick there buts!
Wow she was moving until it lit like a candle rocket, she earned the Fireball tag now... Very glad you are okay Ryan, had to see the slow mo to see the firewall parts flying by your head.. You and your entire group or such a class act, hate to see this happen but I know you will rise up stronger when the smoke settles.
Not a Matter of if, it's when....May be down for a minute or 2 , But never OUT!!! Super glad you're not hurt !! Sure we will see you at the next Race !!!
Ryan -glad you are alright-as a fan do the right stuff -take your time and get your car right-God bless you and your beautiful family!
Ryan that was absolutely crazy glad you're okay you guys will get the car going you always do good luck on your next race 👍
Keep your head's up team, You guy's had a great run for many year's now but we all know everyone takes a turn on the no prep wheel of carnage & it appears it's your turn.. Seeing you holding your boy after this incident is the important thing to take away from this situation! Keep diggin elbows up guy's.
As always
a class act, keep being the representative you are man
glad your ok.It’s never a guarantee when you suit up for that job
No different than top fuel or a fighter jet
you ride on top of a barely contained shrapnel bomb
I got a good look at that panel that blew out on the firewall at 18:39 and it was removable, held in with Dzus buttons. I can understand a need for access to the back of the engine thru there but hopefully the firewall is repaired without the quick access panel. Every race weekend, and some test sessions, brings with it a lot of eye opening experiences for chassis builders to learn how to do things better when we're building these cars and this was no different. I've always imagined being parked behind a jet car on full afterburner when designing and building firewalls but the explosions wasn't given a lot of thought. I can assure you after fixing Prenup twice and seeing what happened to your car it is at the top of the list going forward for me. Glad to hear you were fine and I can't wait to see you out there dominating again soon.
Good thing you our all right. I know will you will come back strong. Good luck.
Keep your head up and do what you do!
Well, it's in the name. But you kept it together. Great job as always!
Fireball in name and actuality!
Glad your alright Ryan. Car can always be fixed👍
VISOR DOWN! Stay safe man! You just preached it!
So Glad You are Good ,
Life Changes in 3 seconds of time...
im hear to tell ya,there is no worse feeling in racing then watching that on the starting line then hearing your friend come over the radio yelling " its on fire, its on fire"
Glad your okay. Glad nothing serious came in the car. 🙏 for you an the car!!!
Well Ryan's you said in car was really amazing how in a split second how much devastating damage can happen, glad your ok,cars can be rebuilt, you will learn from this and prevail, and yes get the visor down before a run,it's their for a reason.,God bless and be strong
Just another small note Ryan, you guys have a pre race ritual that you do,when Jav'e gives you fist pump and closes your driver's door, you need to close visor at that time before you stage the car.just a suggestion.
Wow , glad everything worked out and there was no injuries.
Glad you're okay physically. Hats off to the tracks safety crews. Get it fixed and keep crushing it!
Very glad to see that you are OK and I know you will be back just as strong as ever. Two things that drives me nuts watching these shows. One is not putting the visor down and guys with a lot of slack in their belts. Visor down and pulls those things tight guys.
Don’t forget the gloves as well!! Many guys are also skipping their gloves and when you skip these couple simple steps, you are leaving your most important elements at risk. Your hands and eyes are some of the most critical and important tools for a racer , not to mention the visor is also protecting your lungs and esophagus and wind pipe. Your first reaction when fire hits you in the face is a mouth open, air sucking reaction which will burn everything from lips to the inner tissue of the lung which is extremely difficult and painful to recover from so don’t be in that position by simply putting your visor down folks! It’s only for a couple minutes and you’ll be able to kiss your wife and kids when you get back to the pits or at home, it’s totally worth it!!
Glad your safe and well Bryan, that visor tip could be a life saver for all racers!! Love that 007 decal just to Kool!!!
True definition of fireball
Thank the good lord you are ok. You we be back at it soon. Thank you for all the great videos.
Ryan glad your ok man I'm hope you get it back together for the next NPK thanks again
Good Luck, glad you are well
I'm glad you're safe and unhurt and if you don't get the Car fixed in time then it looks like the FIREBALL will be back until the Gray car's fixed, as you know the red car's fast and you need to get points as many points as you can at MG even if it's only a round or two.. good luck with your 3rd championship as I call you king ding a ling. King of the streets King of NPK.
So sorry to see man. You'll get it back though.... glad you're safe is all.
Glade you are OK and we all need to make sure safety is first and always
Ryan glad you weren’t injured in this situation! Cars can be fixed or rebuilt but humans not so much!
Get the car right, going to be cheering for you at Brainerd International Raceway in June. Keep up the excellent work.
"T-6 BURST PANELS" one might consider some panels on the inside that could deflect an explosion from impacting you similar to your scatter shield I would think that small amount of weight could be justified, just a thought.
Glad you wasn't hurt fire bad at those speeds. You have some of the best safety equipment made but If not used it doesn't help. Be safe close your visor. Thank you for the behind the scenes videos we love them.
Glad your alright first and foremost! Keep the visor down. Add that to Javi's checklist when he goes over things as your buckling up. You seen what happened to JJ, and now you have had 2 close ones. Thanks for the videos, stay safe!
Glad to see your OK.
Your admonition ID spot on.
On motorcycles, in cars and just walking around the shop I have had incidents where I would have lost eyes or been severely injured if I hadn't had my full helmet and visor down or safety glasses on my face, not on top of my head.
One of the freakiest/scariest accidents I ever had was just walking across the shop on an off day.
There was a hose on the floor with a loop sticking out in the walk path, not quite flat, which I didn't see. It tripped me, I fell forward and reached out towards the roll cart to catch myself. I missed the edge of the cart and fell on my face *but,* my hand hit the handle of a shop sledge (3lb hammer) that was sticking out off the edge of the cart.
On my way down, my hand smacked the hammer handle, the hammer flipped up into the air, I face planted and, as I rolled onto one side and looked up, the hammer came down, head first, right directly on my left eye. It *almost* knocked me out. I was loopy. I had my safety squints on which took the blow and, although they didn't break, the whole area around my eye was bruised, there was a small cut on the bridge of my nose and I was sore as hell.
A flying hammer that went up about 4' off the floor, rotating (adding force) came down squarely on my left eye and I absolutely would have lost that eye, if not my life because your eye is in direct contact with your brain. Pushing in/gouging the eye causes something called a vaso-vagal response and will lock you up. If you're standing, you fall over, stiff as a board, potentially hitting your head on the wrong thing. As I was down and had glasses on, it just knocked me momentarily senseless.
It was my own shop, no one else there, nothing going on, just me walking through to get a tool.
You never know when or how something can happen, anytime your riding a motorbike, racing a car or you're around equipment. One thing I *did* learn is to *not* have any tools/handles sticking out from tool boxes, carts, etc.. (Unless I'm actively using it, it's gonna happen).
Anytime your done working, put things out of "smacking" range!
God Speed Ryan. Thank the lord that you are good. The car can be rebuilt.
As long as your ok cars can be replaced. All the best 👍
DAMN RYAN, WATCHING THE SHOW LAST NIGHT YOU HAD THE DRIVESHAFT EXPLODE AND COULD HAVE SEVERELY HURT YOU AS WELL. YOU WERE FORTUNATE BOTH INSTANCES.
That looked like a crash at first. You could see parts flying around ! After hearing you say it destroyed the fire wall that explained all the parts flying around. Glad you're OK bro! Cars can always be fixed.
Thank you for your content you're my favorite person on here
Glad to see that you are OK and I hope you are able to fix the car
Glad your okay.....And
Thank you! For the advice..
I've been driving a lot of years with the visor up.. Should I say, I used to drive visor up. PUT THE VISOR DOWN!!! We can always fix or replace the equipment...You only get 2 eyes and 1 life!
Man, from the inside that's very impressive ! Glad you're ok
props to the safety crew being there so quickly.
Ryan you rock! Love the channel and content! I'm here for the algorithm! Peace
To see all the racers com.e to you like that is awesome even with the level of competition 👌 👏 😉
Glad your ok I know you will come back better and badder
