Thankyou for sharing that with us. I can't help but get goosebumps when I look at Shocker. That car did save his life but what gets me is it was you that car was saving. It was always suppose to be You. And it did its job plus some. I think its really cool and true of You to save that car like You say you will. Its fitting like You tell it. Kye. I'm sorry for the loss of shocker. I remember finding out early that morning but didn't know all details of what happened just knew you weren't in the car. Then finding out a day later it was David and me messaging you on Facebook praying that David was OK and telling you how sorry I was. I was in such a state of shock to see the car a few months back. Still seeing it in the video shakes me up but this is what we love to do and what we signed up for. I'm so glad David walked away unscaved for the most part. Glad you were able to focus on going and doing what you did this season after all this. Swapping cars, engines, getting showstopper ready, competing on the street and actually doing well. Yes you didn't finish in the top but considering everything you went through you did damn good. "Including David" Also congrats on the new 2 shockers coming to a street and track near you. As the saying goes. There's a blessing/positive out of every negative and yours are coming soon. Congrats on your win at VMP and going b2b. Can't wait to see you dominate this year. It was great being able to see you again when you were in Florida and I hope next year I will be a little bit more stable on my feet and hopefully be able to see you at a few races. I got sick to my stomach when I saw that, couldn't imagine how you were feeling. Most legendary 3rd gen? Maybe more like most legendary streetcar.(period) Between you not being in the car when that happened, and the woman wearing your ring, you gotta be about the luckiest guy in racing. @ Falcore, I like Kye too and yes, the Shocker IS the most famous 3rd Gen but, I’d say the Crow and the Murder Nova are the most famous “ street cars”. That’s NOT throwing any shade at Kye or the Shocker. I just think given that both of those cars were out in the public first, and Kye and the Shocker didn’t turn up on tv until season 3 or 4, they were already in the public consciousness when Kye showed up. Now, that said when Chief couldn’t get around Shocker the first 3 times on the street, it elevated Kye and the Shocker tremendously. Sad that not only the Shocker but many other legendary cars have been destroyed in the last 3 years.

@@timothynalley7802 chief and dave couldnt beat Kye though. shocker was the black knight. the terror of the 405 for years no matter what they did they just couldnt beat kye.
@ Sarah Reigns , Dave got Kye once at the pad in the Sonoma by a bumper, but your right, Chief and Dave couldn’t get around that car on the streets for a LONG time! I’m pretty sure that the very first win Chief got against Kye was the big Bristol race a few years ago. I remember in the NPK race at Bandimere that Chief won a couple of years ago, he said Kye got him all 3 times on the street but he had beaten Kye 3 in a row on the track. Since then, they went back and forth a couple of times on season 1 of America’s list. When Kye initially showed up on the original show and beat Chief then Dave, imo it was the Chief Kye rivalry that really helped elevate both cars. I was said when the OG Crow got totaled and I hate to see this happen to the OG Shocker. Both cars are now legendary for sure

As one door closes another one opens...alot of wrecked cars in the photos towards the end...chiefs white crow the el camino and yours...some classic cars with alot of history. One good thing is all the drivers are still with us and ye can all race again..and walk and talk. New car will be safer and faster. God bless

Sucks to see that happen he just wasn't ready for a car that fast that he wasn't familiar with there's always something you can do just not everybody has the reaction time and experience to gather it up especially in a no prep situation or Street situation I guarantee you somebody with more experience like yourself would have been able to save that

Damn that sucks! That was an awesome car. Definitely one of the best 3rd Gen Style cars out there. Can't really call it an actual 3rd Gen though, as literally every single piece of the original car was replaced with aftermarket or one off custom parts, so there was no actual 3rd Gen anything remaining in that car other than it's general body shape.

Two decades back...I bought a used 86' Iroc Z used in blue. Before RUclips was a thing I guess ??
The paint was bad ..so I decided to custom paint it in about 10 colors.. probably had about a dozen stripes layed out & I wrapped them into the door jambs...& hell even the backside of the fuel door was striped...every stripe was pure paint...no pinstripe tape period.
Later....I would get trolled out on the highway and ran it hard out the backdoor to gap train the other car...
I was rewarded with a rod knock..
I sold it off as is...like you said it's scrap metal...I'm pretty sure it didn't survive in the wrong hands of losers...& firmly believe it's no longer in existence... & Yes.. that custom paint made that Iroc Z a legend in my area ...

Man I remember watching 405 Street outlaws and they would beat EVERYONE. Then here comes this guy nobody had heard of Kye Kelly and he beat ALL their top dogs and won the whole damn thing. I was so excited to see someone come and drag their ass like that. That car was a legend man. Can't wait to see what comes next and what y'all do on End Game too.
As a 3rd gen lover myself I loved way you smoke chief in that car. Reminds me of when I lost my 91. I sat there and cried that night on the side of the road. Then had one of the sheriffs that showed up try to steal my .45 out of the car. Only reason I got it back is because I have a clean record I got in a fight with the tow truck over what was left of the car. Told the guy he’d hook it over his dead body. I took it home and that’s where it rests today. I can’t stand to drive another one. I’ve got a 92 ttop 25th anniversary edition that just sits in the barn. It’s just not the same. That’s a long winded way to say I feel for you.

A kye Kelley watching your video on RUclips about shocker here's an idea why don't you take the small parts of it that are not any good sell them to your fans it might help you rebuild it lot of your fans would probably like to have a Memento of it and you can autograph it for them just a thought your car did what it was supposed to drive fast and protect the driver it was great at both of them
