My wife's 2017 model had the problem this morning on a particularly cold day. Could be coincidence but could have also accelerated the issue. I pulled the pedal back up and it seems to work now. But I saved your video just in case that I need that particular part number some time in the future... 😁 By the way, I've read that even replacing the entire clutch doesn't always solve the issue. It must be something with the hydraulic lines...
hi i have a 66 plate focus with 66 k on clock, the pedal started sticking to floor so went my local independent ford specialist they said have the master cylinder behind clutch changed first so had it done in feb this year, its been ok until last few weeks and started sticking again a few times, went back they said maybe needed a re bleeding so did that and it was all ok again for about 7 days now doing same again, when i get in car from it standing all day its sticks to floor, when i drive off if i pump clutch a few times it goes ok again but then if i dont change gear in a while the next time i go to change it sticks again. Garage said if this happens after the re bleeding its most probably the slave cylinder needs changing, this obviously needs box and clutch out so very expensive as they would change everything, any ideas at all thanks
Hi, how long ago did you have the master cylinder changed? Did you have the seal changed on the outlet pipe? Has your issue with the pedal dropping now been resolved?
Hi Sam , it was the cars original one (2017) - yup once it was changed the issue hasn’t come back.. been fitted for a few months now. Thanks for watching and if you haven’t already, drop us a sub 😊😊 cheers
@@ConversationWay 130k miles and it’s had a stage 1 remap which probably hasn’t helped but it’s in very good condition. Think it’s just one of those where it’s got a shelf life and it has reached it
@@ConversationWay mine is a 1.5 diesel. If I push the clutch down a few times like a foot pump it helps the clutch feel normal but after a minute or two it’s back to being stuck to the floor after every gear change
Guys, I have a Ford Focus titanium 2011 and my car has same issue at the pedal clutch! I replaced the spring, mechanic did a bleeding and I still have this problem! Reading that guy that replaced the master cylinder and the issue never goes, what exactly should we do? I really like this car, but I’m about to sell it. When I release the pedal, it back to the middle and some times back to the end! 😢
Just another ford denied and doesn't exist problem. Some lucky people have it happen during warranty get everything replaced FOC. As for me...well stuffed royally, just out of warranty.
Much appreciated video! My just got stuck to the floor for the first time 😢
Sorry to hear that
Has it come back?
If it’s what is explained in the video, it will spring back
@@domn2820 Yeah. i has happened maybe 15 times now... but for some reason not for a long while!
I.d check the return spring on the clutch peddle 1st. There are a chance the spring is worn out

Not had experience of the clutch actually going yet… I’m on 74k, 17reg…. Sounds like one of those “once in the car’s life” kinda changes
I got this issues now only started when i had a bent brake hose had to change is so i thought it be air trapped

If you don’t mind me asking. Where did you get yours done. I’m struggling to get someone to do this for me in Oxfordshire area
Thanks for commenting & watching & hopfully subscribing :-)
Some friends have recommended Draycott engerneering in didcot. I'd suggest them
Hi My 2018 ST. Line haas intermittent clutch pedal sticking down or half way up on 35k on click will replacing the spring fix this issue
Sounds like could be common issue: master cylinder on the clutch pedal
Just had my master cylinder replaced for £320 and 2 days later my clutch is back to sticking down and feeling loose. New clutch it looks like
Oh nooo!! That is so annoying !! It’s a chance thing, depending on car mileage - what mileage do you have and engine ?

thats pretty good going - Mine was at around 65k miles - but it was just the master cylinder in my case. Which engine is your focus?
