Remember when Game freak Announced Dexit? Man The biggest Multi media franchise was never the same since, I mean it's not as controversial as SSBU (My least Favorite) but it has it's own flaws. I remember using Sobble on Sword & Grookey on Shield! The British culture, the native Pokémon, the Soundtrack & the Anime (Tho i do still miss Ash) Plus SLUMBERING WEALD, PEAKE!!!!! I Guess were a little to Harsh on GF 5 years ago aren't we?
Just got "Pokemon Shield" and its expansion pass bundle yesterday! I'm already feeling paralyzed by which route I should take now -- the traditional route of the wild areas and gyms, or try training at the Isle of Armor first?
I think you should just go with the traditional route of completing the main story first. While there is level scaling, Mustard's final battle is over level 70, so if you want to use an Urshifu in the main story, it's both gonna take a long time to level it up if your other members are low level (or just shove a ton of exp candy up it's ass), and if you want to use Urshifu in the main story, it's gonna have to be extremely buff, probably overleveling Leon. And to me, it's just not that fun if you're too overleveled, just easily OHKOing Mons. During my first playtrough, I keep changing the team, so that I end up I think having over 12 fully trained team members. In the 8th gym I just completely change the team, because like 5 of my Mons are bad against Raihan, then changed it back again after that. Having a lot of main team members makes you not overleveled, even with exp from camping and stuff. I also have a dedicated "catching party" from the get-go, with members that has run away, status, false swipe, and a weather changing move. It's again, so I don't get overleveled when catching and exploring in the wild area. But eh, it's up to you.
@@blowyourmindscientist6497 Oh, I'm sorry. That was days ago. I decided to the traditional gameplay first. I completed the main story last Thursday and got through the Isle of Armor today. I plan on starting the Crown Tundra tomorrow. For the record, I'll say that I actually had a relatively easy time beating Raihan. Thanks for your feedback though! Oh, and the levels for the Pokemon in the Isle of Armor are actually in the tens to twenties if completed before the events of the Darkest Day.
Years late, but in my playthrough, I jumped between the traditional route and Isle of Armor. Whenever I felt that I was underleveled for Armor (or I just wanted to do something different) I would go back to the main story. You definitely can become OP in the main, like a commenter said, but if you swap out Pokémon instead of just using the same team throughout, you'll be fine. Eventually, you hit a wall where the Armor story stops until you become Champion, then the story picks up and the levels of the Pokémon on the island spike.
I am currently at the airport listening to this as I walk laps around the terminal 😂
