I picked mine up in Aug 2023 for 1200 bucks. Fairly liberal lube on a break-in period. Almost 2000 rnds through it now and it is flawless

Glad to hear you are having a good experience. We continuing to put rounds though ours and have not had any issue thus far. Thanks for watching!

Just bought the non-railed version. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to be popular enough for the aftermarket world to start building products. Aftermarket plates and grips would be nice to see.

Yeah I couldn't do $1700. I just picked up a non railed version for $1100 and so far so good. Definitely a fun range gun. Very fast.

Only about three hundred rounds through mine. Has run flawless so far with several types/brands of ammo. Added a holosun EPS carry and she will drive nails all day long!

Make sure you look into getting the extra mags and set of grips from Kimber if you bought it between Jan and July

@@ChamberOneTactical I already have the extra two mags and the red and black most aggressive grips. Did I mention, I love this gun!

For that money save a little more and go with DWX or Staccato. And lets all hope they get back to the OLD kimber. In the beginning they were good. Then they had the downward slide! It also looks snappy watching both of you shoot it.

Had the same issue with mine…magazine was not catching and found out that the mag release screw was loose.
Just tightened and works well afterwards

Got one an ftf every mag at least once for the first 500 rounds, had the same problem with with the grips being loose and the mag falling out. Sent it back to them just got it back today and the first damn round jammed. I have many kimbers and love everyone of them but there about to buy this pos back

If you have to pay $100 for an optics plate and another $120 for higher sights for an already $1700 gun, then why not just spend a little more and get a custom-assembled Stacatto?

    • @ChamberOneTactical
      @ChamberOneTactical  2 месяца назад +3

We do not yet own a Stacatto but it is on our bucket list.

Mine was a jam factory the first 250 rounds. I'm talking about a 50% FTF rate. Shit was almost embarrassing at the range with my buddies. Next 250 were better with maybe 2 or 3 FTF. I'm going tomorrow again and if it fails on me again its going to kimber.
Also they're giving 2 15 round mags and a set of grips for free if you bought it this year.

We hate to hear that you are having trouble with your KDS9C. I'm sure that is frustrating and hopefully Kimber will take care of the issue. Keep us in the loop and we like to hear other's experiences.

@ChamberOneTactical just got back from the range and put about 250 or more rounds through it. With about 7 FTF. I emailed kimber waiting for a response. To say im disappointed in this thing is the most polite thing i can say. I wish i could get my full 1800 back, but i know I'll take a loss if i decide to sell it.

Is the beaver tail on that unit loose? Just curious because I got mine back from kimber service. They had to fix my mag release as it was wearing into the frame badly, they fixed it and refinished the frame and the beaver tail has significant side to side wobble and makes audible sounds when moving around while in the holster. I swear it was tight when I sent it to them

Humm I would almost guarantee the reason you got the plate and RMR sent to you is solely based on U-Tube. I own several Kimbers and love them but the average consumer doesn’t get the special treatment they gave you.

Here’s a little info on how Kimber treats customers. I purchased a Kimber TLE II back many years ago and now have around 8k rounds through the pistol. Unfortunately the pistol is now a paper weight unless I want to pay Kimber over $400 to fit a new slide because parts are no longer available as it has an external extractor. I’d love to know what the marketing director says about that. They had a bad design years ago, and will not make it right. The KDS9C will eventually fall into the same boat and they will leave customers hanging. By the way, this just happened so it’s the current customer service.

No grip safety is why I don’t want one of these. Carrying locked and cocked with just a manual safety is extremely unsafe. Those safeties get knocked off very easily in the holster and then you’re walking around with a hair-trigger gun just waiting for a negligent discharge.

why would the head of marketing contact someone over a problematic gun? it couldnt possibly be because you are youtubers, no, no way. seems like a marketing CYA deal.

  • @Quality_Guru

I am shocked that you have been bamboozled with a few token gifts. I have worked in Engineering, Manufacturing and Services going on 40 plus years. I have never, but ever heard of the head of marketing contacting anyone about a product quality issue. If it had been from someone in Customer Service or in engineering or the head of the company (for a SMB) then I would’ve been impressed. This is nothing more than an effort to mitigate the bad press. It’s laughable that you are admitting your own ignorance. I’m not trolling. You just need to be a little bit more introspective of Greeks bearing gifts.

    • @leftyo9589

yup, seems awful shady that a head of marketing is contacting someone with a CS issue.
