KIMBER KDS9c RANGE DAY VINDICATION!! (WHEW!!)

SO, the Kimber KDS9c earns her vindication at the range today! Sure am glad it runs good! I was somewhat concerned about that no doubt. AND, she really likes 147 grainers!! Hope you guys and gals enjoy!!

I am surprised that this Kimber made it out of the factory. I certainly would call Kimber and point them to both of your videos and give them the serial number so that they can deal with their inspection chain and deal with them. They have to know so that they can correct this.

I've never owned kimber. I can have some pretty bad luck with guns. So I figured I would end up on that other side of quality.
They seem to make some nice stuff but i'm sure I would definitely get lemons.

How did you clean up the breach face? Plug the firing pin hole with ..... ? or take out the firing pin assembly and clean channel after cleaning up breach face? Your findings are not isolated. My $1,400+ KDS9C has the exact same "machining" defects. Glad the see the damn thing spit.

Luckily, the face angle was correct so a fine india stone and some 3000 grit wet sand polishing paper did the trick. I couldn’t do anything with the firing pin hole issue, but it doesn’t seem to have any ill affects, this really steamed my sack if ya get my drift!

I have the KDS9C Rail. Went to shoot the first 100 rounds through it. I noticed that there’s markings on the front of the barrel that don’t wipe off now, is that normal for this type of barrel?

I’ve got those markings on mine as well. I was concerned as well, but I believe it’s just machining or casting marks. My pistol operates flawless which is a first for me and Kimber.
