I own one. Very accurate and it has taken every type of ammo and case without failure at the 375 rd. count. I just wish they had suppressor high sights for co witnessing with the red dot I installed. Wilson Combat, Staccato and even Bul Armory was out of my price range. Very happy to have this as my EDC

Hi - was just looking at the Kimber site and swear I saw where in their manual they discuss replacing the rear sight and front sight with higher/taller sights so you can co-witness with an optical sight that you mount on the slide. You might want to go take a look. I saw the reference in the manual I downloaded.

@@markb7503 I called Kimber for the exact reason you stated. The new gen 2 rear optics plate will not co witness. I bought it anyway. And as they stated it doesn't co witness. It's now at the gun smith. So, they can find iron sights that I can see thru the red dot window. Thanks for the help

Pay the extra and just get the Wilson Combat EDC X9.

Fluted chamber = style over substance. Else the flutes would be all the way around. So, weaken the chamber wall, for nothing.

ugly rear sight. but its made up for by its ability to catch on everything.
