Great helpful video. I am new to sublimation, been gathering supplies, and ready to start. But I held off getting any kind of mug or tumbler press. I was going to use my old convection oven. Now I am running into my kitchen to check the size of my air fryer. I subscribed to your channel. Best step by step instructions and I feel lucky to have found you. I have been so hesitant to get started, stuck in the details I guess. Any words of wisdom to help a newbie to feel more organized? I am creating a shopify store in a specific niche, and was not planning on messing with Esty - what do you think?
I'm glad you found me too. I got the cricut mug press first when I started. That was very limiting to basically coffee mugs. For Tumblers my first choice is still air fryer! If you do decide to get a mug press, watch a couple of my reviews of mug presses. Congratulations!

Do you have to use a heat gun? Would a hair dryer work?
I think a hair dryer will work fine. My heat gun is a very inexpensive one and if the hair dryer got close I think it would be just as hot. Some people don't pre-shrink at all, it shrinks as soon as it hits the heat. I just like to refine where it shrinks down.
It does! My heat gun puked today and hair dryer did the trick!

Thank you for your video. I would like to ask you a question regarding some measurements you mentioned in the video 8.3 and 9.35, where and when are the measurement taken for the tumbler? I'm a beginner to this and I am lost now with those measurements.Please help me! Thank you
I use measurements that came with the tumbler but you measure from top to bottom - right above the bottom curve (8.2) and measure around (9.3). These are skinny straight 20 ounce. I go up just a tiny bit so the paper is not so tight. You can use a fabric tape measure. Hope this helps!
hallo there! can i use my converted epson printer to print on sublimation paper and then bake in airfryer read somewhere that you can only do it with sawgrass or other proper sublimation printer. please advise
Absolutely. I use an epson eco tank 2760 that I converted to sublimation by adding sublimation ink. Do not put the ink that comes with your printer in. Must be sublimation ink. Any epson eco tank will work. Watch my other videos for more tips! I use htvront 125 sublimation paper the majority of the time now. I have used this same printer for 2 years! I have another on hand for "just in case" but I have not needed it yet! Welcome to sublimation!

Great video- I do not have a mug press however I do have an air fryer that was going to go in the trash. Can you recommend what shrink wraps you used. Also I would like to try mugs, would the shrink wraps work with the handles on the mug? Thanks
I've never tried mugs with handles and shrink. I have used numerous shrink wrap, they are pretty much the same- so far anyway. Just make sure you order big enough for your size. Ex; 20 ounce tumbker wraps . Thx!!
I have not tried it on coffee mugs yet. I don't know that they would get tight enough with the handle and probably would not fit. I get them with my blanks most of the time. I buy in bulk- but i have ordered on Amazon too. Same results. Just make sure if you are doing 20 ounce tumblers, you order big enough shrink wrap. I also use the 20 ounce on the speaker tumblers- it is tight but I cut a small 1/4 inch so i can wiggle it in and not rip it farther. Hope this helps!
How many quarts is your Nuwave?
7 quarts- if I remember correctly. It is a good size basket.
