For mugs there are special silicon wraps available jsut for sublimation in ofens. I wouldnt recommend ice water because of heating cracks in the long term. Normally you should use hot water or ventilator to cool them down

i just got a power XL air fryer on clearance for 30$. trying that today. i had a air fryer like yours and it worked excellent

wraps works best to take off while still hot, once cool the come off in tiny pieces and take a lot more work.

I haven't sublimated before. Which shrink wrap pack would you get for 15 oz. mugs. I did not see an option for the mug, only a tumbler. They are considerably slimmer than a 15 oz. mug. Thanks!
4 minutes at 400°C is plenty. I used to do 10 minutes but the air fryer allows you to decrease the time from a normal oven. Looks great…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

PLEASE make sure to tell your followers to NEVER use their air fryers or toaster ovens for food again, once they are used for sublimation. It is very toxic and dangerous to use for food once you have used it for sublimating.
Thank goodness the press I bought cane with the cup hat and a few other attachments
Use a pair of silicone tongs to remove them from the air fryer and put them into the water, also try and use some tweezers to take off the plastic so you won't get burned
What kind of ink and printer did you use?
Do i need to use sublimation paper or can I use regular printer paper?

you dont actually need lots of pressure for sublimation. Just make sure the paper is tight to avoid ghosting.
I put things in for 6 mins and its great 🙂

Can't cook in it after you do that. Hope everyone knows that. The chemical is permanent trapped and reactivated everytime it turns on. Great idea thaough. I bought a convection oven specifically for sublimation.

hi i tried today doing a mug with my air fryer it didnt work at all i bought the green silcine wrap from amazon i taped it down (the sub) But nothing it bled on the silcone transfwr but the paper just looked cooked lol any siggestions as to what im doing

You have to use sublimation ink in a sublimation printer.

I would let it cool down I just did this for video purpose to speed up the process
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat The water should be luke warm so it's not extreme & cause the mug/glass to explode. Never use ice cold water!
Can it be a used Airfryer?
Oh because of the smell i pretty much think those are the fumes of the ink! Usually when you bake like 10 mugs at once in a large ofen which some shops do, they use kind of face masks because of the fumes coming out. I have those fumes as well with my mug press and it coated to my throat and teeths, its really nasty. I hope this isnt really dangerous and i ruined my health. THats why i bought ofen because i thought the smell is from the rubber of the heating element but i think its the ink itself.
There’s no problem with ceramic being that hot and hitting ice water? I’ve had things like that practically explode when I took them out of the oven and accidentally sat them in a spot with water.
it will get heating cracks with this method, many sulblimation dealers dont recommend that method. Instead tehy use hot water or ventilator. Hot water is still cold enough to cool the mug into non sublimation temperatures. I think sublimation starts at 150 Celsius.
I did my first water bottle in a brand new air fryer. It was set for 400 degrees and was in for 3 minutes. It burned the paper! Help!
Next time it might be good not to put ice in the water so there wont be a chance of thermal shock

Yes! Buy one that is for sublimation only. I have more videos on this soon using a toaster oven
