I have owned this car now for 5 years,103000 miles--only spent money on oil changes, new daytime running lights, sparkplugs, new brakes and new tires. It is true that you gotta spend more money for synthetic oil and general maintenance. I love the infotainment system---One of the few cars to actually offer apple car play and android auto back in 2016. I keep fighting the urge to get a new car..because truth is this car works great for my needs. Heck most cars have a smaller truck space...
Have it and it’s a great car... changing brakes with 89000 and still has padding left... changing plugs for first time also... overall NO issues at all and going over 5 years strong!!!
My wife had the 2015 sport and all we had to change was tires and battery by 65k. Traded it in for a Tiguan but it was possibly the most reliable car we've ever owned!
I chose the Jetta SEL 1.8TSI in 2016 over a Honda Civic! I wanted something different, along with I didn't like the boy racer look of the Civic. My Jetta has been great! 60K and not one issue. I was told by so many Honda enthusiasts my Jetta wouldn't last past 40K miles without starting to have problems. The Jetta has great space inside and the fit and finish are excellent but materials could use an upgrade. Power/torque are also good. This is my first VW product and I would by another.
I had a 16 Jetta Sport I got in 18, that was nice. I bought it with 41k on it and kept it under miles. I traded it a few weeks ago with 55k on it and got the 2021 Jetta R-line with 12 miles. If you finance a VW, you should try to get approved by VW Credit. They Cut my interest rate in half. They'll take care of you if you stay loyal to them.
Jetta is the best in a crash is 1000% better then honda and also I can drive and get 60 miles per gal or more on mine I am in boca and I go to Orlando and then tampa and then go back home one 1 tank it cast me 20.00 an 1.95 gal
Comes standard with a five-speed manual. This one has the six-speed Tiptronic (Bump Shifter) automatic. To my knowledge, you can't get the DSG on the 1.8Ts only on the GLI as you said. Below is my understanding of transmission for each engine: 1.4T: Standard - 5-speed manual Optional - 6-speed auto 1.8T Sport: Standard - 5-speed manual Optional - 6-speed auto 1.8T SEL: Standard - 6-speed auto 2.0T GLI: Standard - 6-speed manual Optional - 6-speed DSG 1.4T Hybrid: Standard - 7-speed DSG
That’s a great price for the car and I’d be fairly certain it’ll last at least a couple of years (probably more). I’m a little skeptical when something seems cheaper than usual so Just be sure to look out for past accidents or an r-title. Not a bad idea to have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done at that price, so you know what you may be getting in to. Thanks!
@@KinneysReviews I just traded my red 2k16 Jetta sport to the dealer for like 7k and it had 56k miles on it. That's pretty expensive and high miles for a 2016 Jetta. I gave mine away for a deal, but the recent owners didn't treat it great. But it was In pretty good condition besides some basic 50k mile services it needed. 100k miles is technically over mileage for a car that's 8 years old.
@@KinneysReviews I am just hoping the dealership doesn’t try to be sleazy with their pricing. It’s currently at $14.9k, and my payout for truck is $26.7k. He’s telling me he can only do 25k for trade in, but yet both trade in value and private party pricing have it well above 27k. PPP is actually a little above 30k. So here’s to hoping we can make the deal happen! :D
@@zetazeeke6072 Stay firm, there's plenty of good deals out there, if they want to be sleazy, walk away, I'm sure that'll open their eyes. Best of luck!

I have the same car. And I love it. And I'm planing on tuning it up a little
2-3 large people in the truck is what made me purchase the car
Straight to the facts. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
I feel like there was something else with those colors but I can’t remember right now 😂
What's the best oil and filter for this car???

Why would you want to fit 2 to 3 large people in the trunk?!?
Thanks for asking me into getting a civic JK

Great, big trunks, that’s all I care about

Not to be that guy, but does it come with an ashtray?
Totally NOT a reference to the colour scheme, or the company's origin...
I was astounded at the amount of ashtrays in the car, you might be on to something...
I am looking to buy one, ideally in that EXACT configuration. Would anyone recommend it?
Yes!!!
