It was so much fun to test out some of our homemade chemistry! Thanks Kurtis!
Wow! Trailhead and Destructive Creativity. 😄 super awesome team up!
Looks like you guys had a blast with this one. Haha. Great video!
Yup, Kurtis is a great guy. We had fun. Thanks for watching.
Great video you posted here. Really like to watch it You get my BIG LIKE 👍👍💖. It is finally weekend and I hope you have a great one and hopefully get time for working on your next you tube video Greetings from South Africa and I will be looking out for your next upload.💪✔🎉
Thanks! I'm glad you found us.
Underrated channel...had so much fun binging your videos.
Ig its is true.....salt feeling is maybe due to irregular sized grains....im gonna try to grind it using a mixer
I agree that particle size is the issue. The commercial product was much finer.
In the factory, they probably run it between rollers, maybe even progressively closer and closer. A kitchen grain grinder/flour mill might work. Or put it in a baggie and crush it with a rolling pin or wine bottle.
70% alcohol? nope! it contains water... you wanna use absolute ethanol (that is why it was clogging because it is kinda gelling
Too funny and FUN! I love your sense of humor and what a good sport your are in simply discovering science... it inspires those that are watching to relax with science, which for some reason a lot of people struggle with!
I saw the video when you made the magnesium carbonate. You filtered it but you then should have rinsed the magnesium carbonate with water and filter again, once or twice, so as to get rid of the sodium sulphate that remained in the solution. So the stuff that you gave him here in this video had some sodium sulphate in it, i.e. it was not pure magnesium carbonate.
That is a good point, next time I'll be sure to go into that aspect.
You need a small ball mill (maybe for grinding ceramic glazes)
Maybe a rock tumbler and walnut shells? That might take a while. Lol
Worth a shot, RUclipsrs have nothing but time, right? ;)
Huh, too bad it didn’t work. Still fun to try it out!
It was very fun
Add baby powder!! It will improve the chalk . I learned that from ASMR chalk creators who make their own chalk and sell it.😂
Is this fine to eat? Magnesium carbonate is great for anxiety "Calm' brand powder supplement works wonders but is expensive
I make my own liquid chalk and it’s better than factory made . Can’t believe you wore those pieces of plastic across your faces . Bet you think it’s weird looking back ?
I subscribed just so I could unsubscribe for the masks. 🤦♂️
