Kyle Kakuske bro, you don’t have to tell me that. I’ve been following this guy for a long time. Thought the “LOL” was signal enough I was just cracking a joke and there’s no butt-hurt on my end. Guess not. 🤷♂️
Phil Anselmo.... Rock Vocal God... A lot of people don't understand his range because he uses it so little... Cemetery Gates is an Anthem! RIP VINNIE PAUL AND DIMEBAG DARRELL! The Abbott Brothers live on in these reactions! I love seeing people discover this music and really being enjoying it! Rock on!!! 🎸🔥 🎸
I think Phil Anselmo ,Bruce Dickinson,Corey Taylor, and axl rose ,Freddie Mercury all those have so unique and beautiful voices!!! Im sure all of em took voice lessons ....💯💯💯🔥
@@dimitrakapa4887 I agree but I’m not sure if they all took lessons. Phil is my favorite out of the ones you listed. Don’t get me wrong Bruce,Axl,Freddie and Corey are great singers but to me Phil’s range is amazing. From those low deep tones to hitting a E5-G not even professional tenor’s can do that.
I've always said PanterA has two singers. One just happens to sing though his Guitar. R.I.P "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. [Side-Note] This is the short version cut for TV. There is a whole intro before it gets heavy in the full version.
On your own time check out the album version of this not the music video, they don’t start as early as you think. Long intro which makes the the song that much better imo
I absolutely love when new people find or are introduced to the music of my youth. Letting them experience the light that helped me through what was very dark times for me.
I've seen these guys several times. I'm so sad they're gone. I miss them all the time. I know it's great music because I'm still not sick of any song they put out. And I've been a fan since 91. Incredible reaction bro. Thank you
Tragic, prophetic, somehow knowing what the future of Pantera, Dimebag , Vinnie held. Once those cemetery gates opened, they should have read the names as they passed. It broke my heart when dime got shot as much as the Rev, Robin Williams, Chester.... So much life and talent gone too soon.
"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott = Lead Guitar (R.I.P. 2005....murdered on stage by gunfire in 2005 by a deranged former fan who was mad about the breakup of Pantera, killed right in front of his Brother Vinnie while performing with their new band Damage Plan) Vinnie Paul Abbott = Drums ( R.I.P. 2018 , passed away from a massive heart attack ) Rex Brown = Bass Phil Anselmo = Lead Vocals. They were one of a kind. ...Texas Groove Metal Pioneers. At least we still have the recordings of their awesome music. This was the video version of this song, it cuts out the whole intro, you'll have to listen to the album version to hear the full version. As always, Peace and love from Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A!
Phil Anselmo Vocals Vinnie Paul Abbot on drums Dimebag Darrel Abbot on Guitar and Rex Brown on Bass. And to Tyler Hargis point they were a glam metal band Originally..... But @ that time they weren't Pantera First was Gemini Then Eternity they then changed style and name to Pantera. If you didn't know now you know. Lol
The singer is Phil Anselmo. From Metaire outta New Orleans. He sang for a band called Razor White. Used to go watch them all the time. 1980's ......Before the scream his voice was awesome! Then Pantera found him......still awesome....r.i.p. Dimebag....
Vinnie Paul (Drummer) & Darrel “Dime Bag Darrel” Paul (Guitarist) created Pantera, Rex Brown Bassist, & Phil Anselmo became their singer. Rex sings the back up vocals and really doesn’t get a lot of credit for his good voice. They always killed it every show. Dime Bag was shot by a crazed fan at a show and Vinnie passed away a few years ago, may they RIP.
In light of what happened to Dime and him playing on a gravestone and the solo and setting are surreal yet it's all too real how he was taken from us. ✝️ RIP DIME 🎸AND 🥁 VINCE CFH FOREVER GETCHA PULL!! 🥃
Your reaction was great! Your mind will be blown when you hear him speak. He hits incredible high notes in songs like this, then you hear him speak and his voice is so deep it'd make Barry White shiver. Phil Anselmo is the singer, and that boy grew up in Louisiana around all the flash, glam, grime, and soul of New Orleans.
Dimebag Darrell - lead guitar, backing vocals (1981-2003), lead and rhythm guitar (1986-2003, died 2004) Vinnie Paul - drums, percussion (1981-2003, died 2018) 2003) Rex Brown - bass, backing vocals (1982-2003) Phil Anselmo - lead vocals (1986-2003) Dimebag was shot 12/08/2004 at a concert in Columbus, Ohio. His brother died last year, the drummer.
The Singer is Phil Anselmo.. Rex Brown on bass, And ABBOT brothers Vinnie on drums, Dimebag Darrell on Guitar. One things you will hear fans say is how tight they played as one machine or one unit. And how much they loved their fans.
I still remember the day Dime was announced murdered. As a teen he was my idol for learning guitar. Like even from Australia, it was one of my most fondest memories, hence why this song is so memorable.

Been a fan of Pantera since their club days, in the mid eighties. Phil was still a teenager when he replaced the original singer. Young Phil could wail with incredible power. To this day, Pantera still stands as one of the greatest metal bands to have existed. Rest easy, Dime and Vinnie.
thanks for the warning about federal law. i love when i watch videos of those reviewing and giving his or her opinion. when showing the video as you go along makes a big difference. a big thank you for that
So van how u like that dimebag was making his guitar scream like Phil absolutely powerful and melodic how everyone mixes together perfect. Pantera is the G.O.A.T.

You reacted to the short version fam. They got one that’s like… 7 minutes or so where there’s an absolute jewel of an intro that the song you’re reacting to builds up. Rip abbot bros and everyone that was present during said tragedy.
When I was 18, I bought tickets for my now ex-wife, and mother of my eldest son, to see her favorite band, Skid Row, in about 1991, at the old Greenville Memorial Auditorium. I'd never heard or seen anything like Pantera. Imagine that. They melted people's faces. That was the first time witnessing a mosh pit. People were getting backwards body slammed, and getting carried out for split heads. We were there to see a hair band, lol. That was Pantera's first U.S. tour. They played almost the whole Cowboys from Hell album, and about half of their upcoming 2nd album, Vulgar Display of Power. I was in the right place, at the right time.
Pantera has a set of home movies, if you haven't seen them, they're great! They were vlogging before it was a thing. CFH! They toured for about 5 years ( Vinnie, Dimebag, Rex and Phil) before being signed... they were pretty damn seasoned

Fo real?
Yep, 54 on August 20. R.I.P. Abbott brothers
It is... It's sad that everyone remembers Dec 8 before they remember Aug 20. 🥺🤘💕
"Early 2000's emo music..." - Never have I EVER heard Pantera or Phil described in such a blasphemous way. LOL
Rite Pantera it's not emo.
Ouch
Dude's just not versed in this music. Not a big deal man, the fact he liked it means he's open to more.
Kyle Kakuske bro, you don’t have to tell me that. I’ve been following this guy for a long time. Thought the “LOL” was signal enough I was just cracking a joke and there’s no butt-hurt on my end. Guess not. 🤷♂️
Does that mean Slayer isn't classic rock? lmao.
Happy Birthday Dimebag ( he'd be 54 today)
You are greatly missed 😔❤️
Miss him still and vinnie
Thank you for knowing him. Rip my brother and to you bruv. Hit me up

Well said.

I love that version.
It drives me nuts that they cut off a full 1:40 for this version!!! It doesn't start right... To me this is the middle of the song.
I can't believe people still request the video version of this song ?! That intro is timeless..
I say the same about dire straits. Mark Knopfler has two voices.

HELL YEAH
Pantera was a such a great time before they broke up. And we lost dimebag and vinnie. So we will never hear this again
