As an Armenian I can confirm that all of their music has influence from traditional Armenian folk music, esprcially the mix and switches of fast and slow
I second "prison song" and raise you "question" ..... that's when the guitar player was getting super experimental with his guitar tones and he really hit the nail on the head with the recording of "question" the breakdown at the end is SICK
Love how you're broadening yourself musically wise. A lot of rap and hip hop fans love metal not just because of the energy and power but if you listen to the lyrics in the most part are very honest, real life and just touch on things that mainstream chart performers can't because they want to be listener friendly. React to Five Finger Death Punch songs, I'd say either Coming Down or Wrong Side of Heaven. Keep it up, loving the reactions all the way from the UK 👍
I love Five Finger Death Punch! Wrong Side of Heaven is a *very powerful* song! I remember that first time I listened to it I actually cried- and I didn't even cry while watching Titanic😂 I apologize, A little bit off, Jekyll And Hyde and Blue on Black are other songs by them that I really love! But Wrong Side of Heaven is definitely my favorite!
I love how you’re commenting on the drumming. John Dolmayan is the tightest drummer ever, and looks so fucking ice cold when doing it. Great reaction, can see you really appreciate their talent. 🤙
Eh, he's decent but certainly not the tightest drummer ever. Tool exist, for one. SoaD are not the greatest instrumentalists individually, they just used to write fucking good songs.
i love seeing people appreciate the music like that, never overthink your reactions because of comments or whatever. System of a down is definitely how you described it, both serious and fun at the same time. They loved making music but also felt a responsibility to include messages in their art.
The way you just got your entire LIFE from that drum intro was everything!! I felt that sooo hard bro. You already gained a new subscriber in me a month ago, when I fell in love with you and your kids. Stumbling upon your rock reactions tho, just makes me wish I could subscribe twice!! It's so awesone to know there are black people out there who can appreciate rock music likt I do. And not just to SAY we listen to it, but to actually FEEL it. (My bad for the long ass monologue n shit 😂)
I'm mixed but their drummer just has that "it" factor and this song is one of his masterpieces for sure. And Serj's voice just has a passion and soul that's unique to him. I have never found their lyrics that intriguing, much less decipherable, nonetheless they make me FEEL like no other.
I'm glad you like them, SOAD has been my favorite band for my entire life As you get acquainted with their music, you'll notice how much of a political band they are. Their whole carreer was built around spreading awareness about the political issues around the world, as well as the Armenian genocide, since all of them are connected to the Armenian people. Their songs are powerful and pass very meaningful messages
Hahaha, I love it man, that reaction you had when it went from the abrasive beginning to melodic,...you were subconsciously headbangin' like preparing for more. Greatness, happened to me too. The transitions are captivating. I internalize it as the brain's dichotomy, the yin and the yang, the feather and the hatchet.
Lead singer's name is Serj Tankian and there is nice song of Tech N9ne that I like with him. As I recall the song is named Straight out the gate. A cool song for those that like both Tech and the singer of this band.
you're crackin me up with your reaction to this. I love seeing another SOAD fan in the making. It's nice to see someone really appreciate the good music. :)
Now this is a real reaction. You can tell some of these reactors aren't really into the music, but I can tell you actually liked this one. This is good music that needs to be appreciated.
2:25 when you started screaching fit right in with the song. I love seeing people falling in love with system. BYOB was one of the first songs that I realised was politically motivated and I fell in love from there. Their lyrics have a much deeper meaning to them, like a lot of rock and hip hop songs so, so if you haven't already (I'm about to do a binge of these videos so I will see) I urge you to look at the lyrics while listening, it will give you a much deeper appreciation of the song. To really enjoy the vocals, I would recommend aerials - one of my faves of theirs. Thanks for this!
Yeah dude, they are so fucking hype. Imagine how much fun that is when they perform it live and everyone is jumping around having a blast getting hype. This is one of my favorite reaction videos to watch because its impossible not to feel it and smile.
That was my favourite band when i was a teen:) They always have special place in my heart! Whit this band you can't go wrong they did between 1998 and 2006 5 studio albums with not a single bad song. Unfortunately they stopped making new music since then. They had chances to become one of the biggest bands today.
I love watching reaction videos to my favorite rock bands because I never noticed how the drummer stops thr cymbal to transition to the guitar solo. Love that broke it down and appreciated the song. I love SOAD and feel they are under appreciated.
Serj is a legend forsure. The way he speaks armenian is crazy well. Daron the guitarist came back to GHS his old high school and gave 2 tickets to my Journalism teacher. I deadass went to a soad concert w my f teacher loool.
You appreciate real music and I can tell. I laughed a lot watching this video, it felt like we were in the same room. I love System of a Down and you described their energy so well. I recommend listening to the entire Toxicity album. Great video🙌.
youre so right about it being serious but fun. my girl explained to me that they use a scale thats norally used for up beat, fun songs...obviously their content is usually so serious and dark. their sound goes perfectly with their content
That end riff was so freakin cool sounding It sucks that it lasted only a few seconds. PS another awesome reaction. I just recently discovered this band even tho Im 53, because Ive obviously decade impared. They are now my favorite band
Man, when it dropped LMAO. Look, I am Catholic, but I live in the south, been to many of a Baptist church and you are correct sir. It goes down in there, fair comparison. Loved the reaction, even 4 years later :P
imagine this full album is a freaking masterpiece. every song is like wtf. can't stop listening to since it came out. heard all the songs a billion times and they never get old
Daron malakian is the guitarist, he writes the majority of the music for system of a down. He also has another band called "Scars On Broadway" which is very good. Singer is Serj Tankian who has a few solo albums including a jazz album and also composes music for movies. Shavo the bassist is also a DJ. The drummer is John who was in scars on broadway but was not on the latest album so not sure if he has any other side projects.
I was at a consert with them at the age of 14. Never ever will i forget that consert. In my opinion they actually sounds even better live - and that is crazy💪
“You / What, do you own the world? / How do you own disorder?” Straight up one of my favorite lyrics ever, in any genre, from anyone. ASMR, every damn time I hear it. Love.
Yo I hit the like button before I started the video. Cause I know you going to love it. love your reactions, always a treat regardless of the topic of video.
SOAD has always done such a beautiful job of blending amazing music with powerful messages and always having a BLAST doing it. Serj's face has always told such a detailed story.
"Toxicity" is one of my favorite SOAD songs! I don't even know what it is about .... I just know how it makes me feel. LOVE the lead singer's vocals! He's a pretty sweet front man, also. You can't be bored or drowsy when THIS song comes on.

Bruh, Digital Bath by Deftones, you will not be dissatisfied.
LFR, I think you will thoroughly enjoy Eddie Van Halen's Eruption guitar solo.
Mike Hammer on my list for him too!
As a pale ass Ginger, I approve this message.
Aigth !
Greetings from cabo San Lucas bcs México 🇲🇽😉
Peace!
As an Armenian I can confirm that all of their music has influence from traditional Armenian folk music, esprcially the mix and switches of fast and slow
And the way Serj sings, too!
I have no idea what Armenian folk music sounds like, but SOAD has very unique sound, so I should instantly know if I ever heard it.
Nice to see another Armenian here
Serj Tankian has actual Opera training in his background, his voice is wow!!!
Agreed!
He is a god
1 year later and I've learned something new today in 2021, I say thank ya mate
He is one of my favorite voices in rock
His voice is class
The ending is so good I’m always pissed when it’s over
SO pissed!!
I was like 16 when this album came out. I remember just going crazy in my room by myself. Good times.
“Prison song” is a banger from these guys and do “B.Y.O.B.
I second "prison song" and raise you "question" ..... that's when the guitar player was getting super experimental with his guitar tones and he really hit the nail on the head with the recording of "question" the breakdown at the end is SICK
Yes, Question please
I second prison song as well. BANGER!
Deer dance
Is he ready for sugar after those?
If you want to hear another great one from the them listen to "Chop Suey", that will blow you away
ruclips.net/video/ZK9slHT7_mw/видео.html Here’s my Reaction to Chop SUEY. Lemme know what you think. And THANK YOU FOR WATCHING
@@LFRFAMILY You should check out Holy Mountains by the band also, the back story of the song will also blow your mind away
Just listen to the whole toxicity album honestly
Serj Tankian is the singer & the whole band are of Armenian descent.
System of a Down - “QUESTION!” is a dope song too brother 🔥🔥🔥
that breakdown at the end is fucking SICK
Do this!!!
Can't stress this enough. Passion, ecstasy, soul. All in this song.
I feel like that song is underrated ,to me one of their best
Definitely one for the newer metal fans
Love how you're broadening yourself musically wise. The video for Wrong Side of Heaven will bring a tear to your eye with no warning.
I love Five Finger Death Punch! Wrong Side of Heaven is a *very powerful* song! I remember that first time I listened to it I actually cried- and I didn't even cry while watching Titanic😂
I apologize, A little bit off, Jekyll And Hyde and Blue on Black are other songs by them that I really love!
But Wrong Side of Heaven is definitely my favorite!
@@vampiremage2 im into music for lyrics, which is why hip hop is my favorite. But so many other genres have done it too
System of a Down is probably the greatest band of the nu-metal era. EVERY. ALBUM. SLAPS.
I love how you’re commenting on the drumming. John Dolmayan is the tightest drummer ever, and looks so fucking ice cold when doing it. Great reaction, can see you really appreciate their talent. 🤙

MarsupialJr soad just gets better with age.. aged so well
True statement
Also, my fave S.O.A.D song is called "Forest". You will LOVE it. I just know it.
Mine too!!

GREAT REACTION! You are one of my new favorite reactors!
I am loving how much you’re enjoying this amazing work of art. Check into how it came to be - this song is divine. Literally.
Hahaha, I love it man, that reaction you had when it went from the abrasive beginning to melodic,...you were subconsciously headbangin' like preparing for more. Greatness, happened to me too. Pure joy! I get pure joy from seeing the pure joy on your face experiencing this for the first time! 🤣❤️Beautiful!!
I've seen and heard this a million times of course rounding up to the nearest million ,but OMG that was AWESOME!
You are the embodiment of love LFR FAMILY!!! Pure passion iz all iiv seen!!!
Listening to System of a down is a religious experience!
Love your respect for the drums. This is one of the hardest drumming songs I ever played on rock band 😂 so dope
Lead singer's name is Serj Tankian and there is nice song of Tech N9ne that I like with him.
As I recall the song is named Straight out the gate. A cool song for those that like both Tech and the singer of this band.
“I’m not going to keep pausing it.” Proceeds to pause it ten more times.
Ya know, I watch a lot of reactions, but yours is soo fun to watch cuz I love to see how you appreciate the music and get happy
Man you really cheer me up with that smile! Thanks!

That tune lights me UP!!!
Great video 🤘🏻
I’ve seen them live and I have been going to shows since the mid 70s and they were by far one of the best
The pure joy on your face when the song gets crazy is priceless.
you need to do rage against the machine, and tool. i promise they are game changers!
Arron Knox he did rage yest. Go check it out!!
Tool def needs mention. As does Alice In Chains
Rage is an awesome band, but Tool are gods
Plus doing tool songs is guaranteed to get views.
All he has to do is one Tool song and it will cover them all. They all sound the same.
System of a Down, and Nirvana are the two best bands when it comes to transition/tempo changes...

My BEST church experience was at a southern Baptist church outside of Savannah. It was amazing! Lady gave me a hat. It was all worship. Amazing.
Yeah dude, they are so fucking hype. Imagine how much fun that is when they perform it live and everyone is jumping around having a blast getting hype. This is one of my favorite reaction videos to watch because its impossible not to feel it and smile.

@@iaintgivingoutmyrealnameon2670 that is amazing and also probably not viewed as OK by the teacher's administration and contract lol.
I think you'd appreciate the drumming in 'Queens of the Stone Age - No One Knows'
It's Dave Grohl on drums from Nirvana and Foo Fighters
good call
Yeah agreed.

Basically saying Hollywood is Toxic... SOAD is very political at times...
youre so right about it being serious but fun. my girl explained to me that they use a scale thats norally used for up beat, fun songs...obviously their content is usually so serious and dark. their sound goes perfectly with their content
Glad you enjoyed it bro! I always say music predicts the future.
They will never let you down. They are beyond any band I've ever heard. They will forever surprise you
I love your reaction to the drums at the beginning... I've heard and sang this song more times than I can count and it still gives me goosebumps.
Man! When you took that sip at the start of their intro, I knew they were gonna get your attention

I saw them live. We were right in front and it was one of the best concerts ive been too!!
His name is Serj Tankian. He has a song he did outside of System of a down named Empty Walls. Badass song.

Great reaction, you may want to try 'Sugar' by SOAD it's a game changer. Enjoy and take care bro.
System of a Down was king of the change up/back and forth. Smooth-Loud-Smooth-loud lol
Man, when it dropped LMAO. Look, I am Catholic, but I live in the south, been to many of a Baptist church and you are correct sir. It goes down in there, fair comparison. Loved the reaction, even 4 years later :P
I'm loving how much you love this! System of a down is dopa af!
I like how he is wildin' out from the drums at the beginning
Bro, that's what rock and roll metal does to you.. It gets ya moving.. Great to work out to👍👍

Hell yeah man, it was dope to see you jam out to this. First found you from music to be murdered by. This is one of my favorite songs of all time
I'm a fan of beards too!! My husband is part of the beard gang!
Dunno why I found the beard info so funny lol, loved the content.
SOAD has always done such a beautiful job of blending amazing music with powerful messages and always having a BLAST doing it. Serj's face has always told such a detailed story.
Damn 😂 great video. I wish I could hear this song for the first time again.
Prison song by System of a Down. I think you will like it
This is one of the bands I wished I would have seen live. Oh the PIT! 8-)
I believe it would go down in such a church. Look at all the incredible musicians that came out of that tradition
"Toxicity" is one of my favorite SOAD songs! I don't even know what it is about .... I just know how it makes me feel. LOVE the lead singer's vocals! He's a pretty sweet front man, also. You can't be bored or drowsy when THIS song comes on.
I saw them first in concert at a small venue in Chicago in 2001. You have to see them live.
