Thanks Tom ! Love the videos !! Im more of a simple kettle, bag of charcoal, a piece of smoking wood, kick back chair, and a cold one type of guy, but I sincerly enjoy watching all the tinkering you do with yours ! Thank you.
Thanks Colin! I appreciate you watching!
Great review. I have been eyeing one of these for my Vision kamado. From what you’ve shown it seems like a solid unit. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Thanks for Watching Michael! Yes I believe it is a solid unit!
Thank you for demonstrating! I’m getting one of these soon. So cool!
Thanks Again for watching!
I use their Thermometers and love them, great customer support.
Thanks for Watching!
Great product review, thanx Tom..
Thanks for Watching Jim!
Thanks for the response Tom.
I finally got it to connect after a couple of hours trying and uninstalling and reinstalling the app.. Will have to take it on a test run to see how well the Wi-Fi stays connected..
Ok! Good luck!
Awesome unit Tom. Love that it is almost half the price as a guru. - I fully agree Weber needs to add probe slots at the least- I hate running them under the lid lip.
Thanks Louis! Don’t understand it either....
Thank you Tom! I had no idea this existed!!
Thanks for watching Johnny! It is relatively new to the market! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Very cool review! Thanks Tom.
Thanks for Watching Big Lew!
Nice vid Tom! Cheers!
Thanks Rob! Have a great week!
That's a neat unit Tom. I've had a bbq guru for a few years I use on my WSM Tgat thing looks like it works well
Thanks Mike! bbq guru was my first choice but I didn’t want to spend that much. This was very affordable at $160.00. We will see how it holds up

Thanks for watching and supporting!
Nice unit!
It’s pretty impressive! Thanks for Watching BBQ Brian!
The Weber Summit charcoal grill has a hole for a controller port. I use my Guru on mine.
Thanks for Watching! That’s good to know
Buy straight from Bbqube Tempmaster. Inkbird is just reselling them with their brand on it.
Thanks for Watching! Appreciate the tip!
Thanks for the video. How has it been after a couple of months? Thinking of buying one for my Akorn and Ceramic Kamado.
Thanks for Watching! It’s an amazing device and it works very well! It shocking that you can control the whole thing from your phone
Hey Tom, after you widened the smoke hole did you treat the metal with anything to prevent corrosion? Or is it necessary? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I did put a little high heat enamel on the edges
Looks good. On the vision grill, what do you do with the top vent? Leave it wide open?
Thanks for watching JK! Anywhere between 1/2 and full open
Hey Tom. Does this also work well on the new Master Touch Premium? How does it stay in the hole that you of course have to drill yourself in the Weber?
Thanks for watching Edwin! I use 2 magnets to hold it in place
Tom, I always watch your videos and was wondering if you still like your ink bird now as much as when you did the review? I am thinking of asking for one for christmas for my Oklahoma Joe Bronco.
Thanks for watching Curtis! Haven’t used it much here lately. Yes I still like it and believe it to be a great deal
Hey Tom I came across this video of the inkbird smoker unit good video you did doesn't work good in the akorn kamado?
Thanks for watching Michael! Haven’t tried it with the Akron. I’m sure it would work just fine
Hi Tom, thanks for your first impressions. Any updates regarding cooks? I'm interested in this, but haven't found too many reviews.
Thanks for watching! I did try it out and it worked as advertised. Really waiting on a bad weather day that will be the real test
Hi, It's possible to connect the inkbird isc007bw at a weber kettle making a hole in the bbq? the fan is sufficient?
Thanks for watching! Yes it is! Here’s the video ruclips.net/video/ZR8aAW-qMzs/видео.html
Did it ramp itself down before it got to temp so it didn't overshoot? I feel like in a kamado it would raise the heat to fast heading to the goal teamp and overshoot. I mean I guess you could just set the target temp at like 175 and just increase at small increments. Just wondering as I'm interested in one of these units and not much info out there. How's yours holding up after a year?
Thanks for Watching Owen, it does throttle down when approaching set point. It does have different settings for different grills, so if you put it on Kamado setting it knows or kettle grill it know and also size
Does the fan run constantly, or as needed? Have you looked at the graphs to see how well the temp held? What’s the longest cook you’ve done with it?
Thanks for Watching! Good questions! The fan runs as needed and it is variable speed. Longest cook was about 6 hours and it held set point very well and I was able to watch and adjust via WiFi connection. I have not figured out the graphs yet not if they have either... Thanks again, I appreciate you Watching!
Do you have this set from the moment you light, or do you light then install?
Thanks for Watching Ross! I would wait until your charcoal is lit first
Have you tried the Ink Bird on your Akorn yet? Blower needs to be very low CFM due ot efficiency of the Akorn. We have the Akorn and find temp management a challenge.
Thanks for Watching Tom! I have not tried on the Akorn
It is a variable speed fan. it have a setting for Akorn jr and full size Akorn kamado. Plus, it have a learning stage in the beginning, and slow the fan down when it approach to the target. Open the top lid just a little bit, and put 6-8 fully burned briquets charcoal. Let the unit bring the temp up for you. I think they didn't have it in the manual, but it's kind of my fault I forget to tell them when I sell my algorithm to them.
Thanks for watching! Awesome insight as to how it works! Thank you!
Do you think this would push enough air for a 22” WSM?
Thanks for Watching! I believe that it would, since it works on a 22” grill. You could email them and ask.
Hi Tom,
Great review. So I bought one and received it yesterday, downloaded the app and have had NO success getting it to hook up to Wi-Fi. Very frustrated with no help from Inkbird. Just wondering if you had any difficulty with yours. Thanks in advance..
Love all your mods..
Thanks for Watching! Mine hooked up on the first try! Keep on trying there customer service or return it. Good Luck!
Hi there, Miya here from Inkbird, Any confusion please feel free to contact me on Instagram or email. My instagram: miyaxubaby. My email address: Miya@ink-bird.com
Wouldn’t zip tying around the unit choke out the inlet for the fan?
Lol! You are correct Jeff! Didn’t think of that! Thanks for Watching!
👍
Not listed on Amazon or under InkBird category on Amazon😞
Thanks for Watching! Try this link www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DK87Q33/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hey Tom --- you should check out the SMOBOT. Maybe they could send you one to review. It's expensive but I like it more than any of the fans. Check them out on RUclips. I can tell you it works wonderfully. The Naked Whiz did a really thorough review on it if you want see some performance numbers. Thanks for the video and great review!!
Thanks for Watching! I'll check it out! Thanks!
Looking at purchasing the Inkbird. Still happy with it after 3 yrs or are you using something else now?
Thanks for Watching! Still have it, but haven’t used it for awhile
Don’t zip tie it in a baggie. It needs air to blow - sealed in a bag = no air flow.
Lol! Yup, didn’t think of that! Thanks for Watching!
Do you know if it will work with a weber Smokey Mountain 22 without any modifications ?
Thanks for watching! With out modifications? No.
Thanks for Watching ! Good tip!
@@warehousestaff3929 i used aluminum foil tape / heat tape, to tape the flange over the hole, been working pretty good.
Thanks for the tip!
This will work with most any smoker right?
Thanks for Watching! For charcoal type grill or even a smaller offset, refer to the Inkbird website for more exact info
Would this fit the Weber Summit Charcoal Grill?
I believe so... I don’t have one though so you should check first. Thanks for Watching!
BBQ Guru Digi-Q DX 3 is selling as a kit for about $180 right now through their website. It will fit, as the port doesn't actually push into the kettle, but sits flush on the outside. It's a 3 piece unit with the outer port, an inner air deflector plate, and a screw that holds it together. I have ports on my Summit, Premium kettle, and Smoky Mountain. The WSM has the port mounted on one of the lower vent holes, with the other 3 vent holes taped off with high temp tape it comes with. I have 2 blowers. The Pit Viper which I use on the 2 kettles, and the larger Pit Bull I use on my 22 inch WSM.
@@KevinWindsor1971 I just checked it's selling for $187.99 and you would need to add another $21.99 for the second probe. If you want a case for the unit that's another $24.99. Now I can't tell you that either unit is better but I can see there is a price difference. I'm not here to tell anyone to buy either but I thought I would tell about the cost difference.
@One Two Barbecue. Nice collection! Like I stated in the video, I reached out to BBQ guru to see if they were interested in having there product used in a comparison video, however they chose to not reply. Like I stated I don’t plan on using it allot so I wanted as affordable of a product that works. I think I found that with the Inkbird, however time will tell. Thanks for all the info and for Watching! I appreciate it!
Thanks for the comparison and for Watching!
Why does this look and act exactly like the BBQube Tempmaster pro?
Thanks for Watching! Why does it?
Hi Tom will this fit kettle joe
Thanks for Watching! Yes, but you would need to drill a hole
You should put an affiliate link for it in your description.
Thanks for watching Dan! Ok, I’m not an affiliate
Tom the BBQ Guru universal adapter has an inside and outside piece that connect with an internal screw so no need to enlarge the smoke hole on the SNS grill. The other advantage is you can direct the air flow down which is good if you are using a Slow ‘n sear unit. bbqguru.com/storenav/Index?categoryId=&&productId=422
Thanks for Watching! Thanks for the insight!
Hi Michael Connolly. Can you please confirm that the universal adapter is the correct one to order when using the SNS grill? When I use the "Guru guide" on their website, it says to select the Weber Adapter for the SNS. Thanks and looking forward to trying out your tip!
Not needed that I can see. Had my WSM going all weekend and it held temps between 245 - 275 without much adjustment at all. I kinda wanted a blower for the fun of it, but I can't justify it. Weber Kettle with a SNS and drip pan has the same consistency. Nice video though!
Thanks for watching! I agree, I wanted one just for fun of it or longer cooks or at night. This one was cheap enough for the fun of it! Thanks for watching!
Where can we buy this inkbird at
Thanks for Watching! I got mine off of Amazon, just type it in
Would you say it's worth it for $92?
Thanks for watching! It does work and it’s not as pricey as some of the others.
Does it have an adapter for Kamado Joe Jr?
Thanks for watching Steve! I’m not sure, you could email there customer service and ask
These are really made by BBQube
Also these work amazing!
Thanks for Watching! I had no idea, thanks for sharing!
True that's it's the same hardware however the BBQube version does not have WiFi.
Product support sucks, they don't stand behind it.
Thanks for Watching! Never had an issue so I wouldn’t know
Too much bullshit just for grilling! Why do people make BBQ so difficult? 🤦🏽♂️
Thanks for Watching!
