Sitting in hospital after a stroke feeling sorry for myself. Left arm is weak. Found this video and enjoy doing the workout. Feeling better within myself and hoping to recover fully. This video has been a great help physically and mentally. If I can do this...anyone can 👍

Thank you so much for sharing the exercise. You are both a blessing and angel in disguise. Love you loads ❤❤, will add in the above excersise in my daily routine.
Hi Doctor 👋 I enjoy watching your very informative and beneficial videos THANK YOU! I would like to know if you could please do an exercise for the fingers. I can't bend my fingers on my left hand as there is som painful I try to fold the fingers iiim watching your videos from Sri Lanka keep up the Awesome work!! BLESSINGS 🙌
Thank you for the clear explanation. I have cut my wrist, whereby 8 tendons were ripped the ulnair nerve and an artery. I am doing excercies for 5 month now together with my occupational therapist. And use your video for mirror sessions. It works fantastic. If you have more mirror therapy sessions for my hand I would like to come in contact with it. Renée
Thank you for your kind words! And that's great to hear! You may find the last couple of the exercises in this video helpful : ruclips.net/video/tCq4kTTLRP4/видео.html
I love your videos. What would be your best videos to do to strengthen my deltoid muscles. I had a stroke in October 2022 and I have muscle soreness in the front part of my left upper arm.
That looks like an excellent workout. Do you have any suggested adaptations for spastic hemiplegics? I can lift my arm to shoulder height with a bent elbow and can straighten my elbow with my arm at my side. I have passive range of motion to do the exercises but not active range of motion.
Hey Polly! That's a great question. The shoulder exercises at the beginning can be done even with a bent elbow. It may be that you need to do them without weights, but shoulder muscles will still get a workout. There are some therapists who think the movement has to be "as normal as possible." But as long as you are pain free and moving slowly/safely, it's okay if the movement isn't perfect or looks exactly like what I'm doing. Does that help?
@@PostStrokeOrg thank you for explaining adaptive movements. I really like this video that shows stroke survivors doing movements that are appropriate for their level of function. ruclips.net/video/drq_EgRP630/видео.html
The rotational movements of the hand, of the leg, their purpose release the armpit of the leg, armpit of the hand, Without it we will not achieve rehabilitation
Excellent video. Since I'm unable to raise my arm to 90 degrees, I made modifications to the exercises & I still got a fantastic workout. Thanks so much! Take care 🙂.
The rotational movements of the hand, of the leg, their purpose release the armpit of the leg, armpit of the hand, Without it we will not achieve rehabilitation
According to my understanding, the entire injured body is one unit. There is no separation. My method is circular movements thousands of times until the tension of the head, neck, arms, legs, back is released, all circular movements thousands of times
May I ask your a question is Neuro spasticity ends after 3 months post stroke? This bothering me since my neurologist told me I'm 4 months post stroke and my Neuro plasticity ended a month ago and my cerebral infarction won't be removed no matter what is this true?
